"This hotel was really new and we took a chance in booking it for a 3 nights stay. We definitely did not regret our decision. We were a group of 8 adults and 2 young children, so we booked all the 4 queen rooms they had. The rooms shared 1 pool in the middle, thus made us feel like we stayed in a 4 bedroom villa. The concept of the hotel was really nice and you could see a lot of thought went into making it. The place was exceptionally clean and properly maintained. The staffs were really friendly and go out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable (they even prepared breakfast for my 11 months old baby!). Breakfast is ala carte style, ordered the day before. There were only a total of 10 units altogether, therefore it is understandable breakfast wasn't a buffet spread. Pros - spacious room, big bathroom, very clean, good pool size, good service, brand new Cons - far from main areas, not much choices for lunch and dinner nearby, no kids pool, pool was a bit too cold Overall, we really enjoyed our stay there. The villa even offered to do a bbq dinner for one of the nights if we were to stay there again. Kudos to the ever willing staffs who provided superb service all throughout. We would definitely come back again and recommend this hotel to our friends and family members. Thank you Villa Paddy!"

"We booked Sunset Valley after reading other reviews about the holiday cottages and I can honestly say that the experience we had far exceeded our expectations. David and Gudrun were extremely helpful and very friendly and went out of their way to assist us in booking excursions and trips around the Island. Sunset Valley is in a fantastic spot just far enough away to be peaceful but not so remote that you cant go and enjoy the action that Lankawi has to offer. All the houses have great views over the rice fields, and are very well maintained and comfortable. One of the best things about Sunset valley is that its not over developed and often you find that you have the pool to yourself and your not struggling to find a sun lounger. We took several trips to some of the 5star hotels on Langkawi to visit friends or have lunch which was very nice but we always felt happy about returning "Home" to the peace at Sunset Valley, there are some amazing 5 star resorts on Langkawi but I would choose Sunset Valley over any of them it was so good and I would love to go back one day"

"This was a fantastic change from ten busy beach area. The houses we stayed in were spotlessly clean and very homely. I think it was nicer than the photos. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious for only 5myr. It was central to many places and Foxhill offer car hire which is very easy and a steal. Saying that grabs were also easy to come by so you could do either. Pool we basically had to ourselves which was lovely. The pool area and sun loungers dis show signs of wear and tear. If you expect a calm, relaxing rustic homestay then this will not disappoint. "

"The room is very clean. Quite near to the Langkawi airport. The location is not a problem to us since we rented car in Langkawi. Great place for family. Since it's a little far from town, it's very quiet and you won't be disturbed. Downside is there's only few shop around, and we feel a little unsafe around there as we are only one who stay at the place at that time (not holiday season). There is no drinking water and we have to buy drinking water in the convenience store. "

Besides for the friendly staff, their was nothing else impressive about the "hotel" their were more insects inside the room then outside, and as well a bat came inside while i was sleeping, not sure how it got in if the door and windows were closed... couldnt get wifi in my room, location is inconvenient, but their is an awesome restaurant next door.

house without provide enough towels, blanket was thin, have to request. No staff on duty. All thru phone message communicate. cookware was not clean. toilet no paper roll. No heater shower. Air cond not enough remote controller, have to share.
