Hotels with Spas in Mount Taranaki

"Excellent location for Mt Taranaki. Very close to highway, supermarket, Hawera city centre, restaurants. Excellent staffs, very clean and good facilities. Would stay again, when we come back to Taranaki. "

"We would probably rate this motel 2 star. Rooms are quite small but comfortable & very clean. Breakfasts were available to order but we self catered. There was a microwave & 2 rings in the unit but washing up had to be done in the bathroom basin which was not ideal. The motel is not far from the main street in Hawera where there are supermarkets & plenty of shops & restaurants. It was ideal for 1 night on our way to New Plymouth round the cape."

"Hawera is about 50km from the start of the Mt Taranaki trail, so this would not be a convenient location as a base. However, Dawson Falls is nearer and we managed to do both trails on consecutive days. The hotel looks new, is neat and clean with all the necessary amenities. Parking is free but my grouses are (1) the internet usage was fixed at between 4-6 hours usage before you need to ask the owner Lynette to extend, i.e. it was not continuous; and (2) there was milk in small jug in the refrigerator when we arrived. Since there were 4 of us, we finished it in a day & when we asked for a refill the next morning, we were told it was complimentary only for the 1st day. For the price of the hotel, and we stayed 3 nites, I felt a daily provision of milk is not too much to ask, since it was provided for on the 1st day. In the end, we bought our own at the supermarket."
