Taman Bandaraya hotels & places to stay

We booked this hotel very last minute, as we were too tired driving the whole day. Location was very strategic. First impression really matters. It was raining so i parked the car right in front of the hotel, immediately one guy came with an umbrella and started helping us with our bags. Check in was a breeze. Room was nice and clean. We had a room on the 9th floor, nice view of ipoh town. Plenty of tv channels. Breakfast was okay, though the variety could be more. We would like to give our highest gratitude to the front desk boy, my wife accidentally left our wedding ring in the toilet. By the time she realized it was missing we were already in KL, so i immediately called the hotel and notified them. Within a minute they called back and told us they have found the ring. Since we were traveling again in two days, i explained to front desk boy the urgency for us to get the ring. He immediately said yes, he would courier it to us and we would receive it the next day. He did as he promised and we received the ring. I would like to thank Nazrein for his honestly and help and also thank Mroof management for their honestly and support. We will surely stay here again. The room that I stayed in (double deluxe) was elegantly furnished with a quality bed, comfortable duvet and pillows. The bathroom fixtures were what one would expect to find in a 4 star hotel. Very nicely done for a budget hotel! However, the room was tiny, with just about enough space for 2 people to move about. The lack of a window contributes to a mild claustrophobic feeling. Ventilation was good though, with no stuffy or musty smells. There is a Tesco hypermarket located a mere 5-minute walk away. Extremely convenient for picking up snacks and forgotten toiletries. All in all, this hotel is excellent for people on a short stay, who do not plan on spending too much time in their rooms.

This is really one beautiful hotel I've ever stayed! It is actually an old bungalow that converted and renovated into a nice boutique hotel. They only have 5 rooms at one time so please make sure you book early! The staff also very helpful and the hotel owner is so generous. We booked 2 rooms and one of my friend ask the owner where to buy beer nearby, and they gave 6 cans of beer for free!

The space is comfortable for two, plenty of parking but of course, to get 'premium parking' is limited. (it's an open space parking, we would like to park in easy view of the hotel for safety reason) We didn't sample the breakfast included. We didn't look for eating place around the area, not sure if it's close by. By circumstances, we traveled around and eat out. It just a night stay as we had an early event the next morning at Taman Rekreasi Gunung Lang. We could get to the place easily from the hotel. Generally, positive experience.

Dont be fooled by its low star rating, it's a new hotel and didnt have that much review. Location is very near to Tesco and Aeon Kinta City, a good KBOX place and the city centre is around ~10-15mins. It sits in front of Festival Walk, there are also many eateries around the area. The staff are helpful and very welcoming. The room design is good and all facilities inside works well. I didn't have anything negative to say about it.

I was pretty surprised by the room design. It's simple, quite modern and clean as well. It has most of the facilities a normal 3 star hotel would have but you get it at a cheaper price. The location was quite strategic as well and there's a small parking lot opposite the hotel. You can park right in front of the hotel but I heard that a parking ticket is needed during weekdays. You can walk around and there's 2 malls (Tesco and Aeon) nearby. Just one downside would be the noise level as the walls and doors were thin. The place was fully booked and I can hear, very clearly, people closing and opening the doors and talking (after midnight and early in the morning). Overall, a not-so-bad stay and I will come back again.

Checked in Family suite, spacious, clean, comfortable bed & pillows. We had peaceful sleep after a long day at Lost World of Tambun ( 10min drive) Our rooms was separated by a clean bathroom -each room has differ theme. Ours was Classic Mandarin- beautiful settings. U can see the owner really put his heart & soul into this hotel. Fast checked in, friendly staffs (Tq Mr Segar) i was surprise that they were able to recognize us when we arrived. Impressed! Giant & Tesco Hypermarket is just around the corner. Downside is Oldtown White Coffee restaurant is the only eatery which is located opposite the hotel otherwise hv to drive out, as hotel is located at new develop business area. Self service launderette is behind the hotel. Hotel provided private parking fret not, Ample parking but u have to use parking coupon to avoid tickets from the city council. Will definitely comeback.

Superb place to stay with family....never though its gonna be this great when I booked it...its a shop lot which converted to nice cozy room furnished very well....the whole 2nd story of the shop lots as been converted to accommodate 4 people....the room come with 1 big room with queen bed and big living area with 2 single bed, billiard table and a dining table for 4...also come with kitchen which very well equipped and also a very spacious bathroom...nothing is bad to say about this place....could hv been better if they have 2 bathrooms and toiletries set provided....its a highly recommended place for a family stay...but ther eis only blinds as separation between room, so if you looking for total privacy then this shouldn't be a place for you unless if you are 2 only...very good location with allot of shops nearby...walking distance to Tesco & Aeon....definitely a place to come back again....
