Sunset Beach hotels & places to stay

This small resort is new on the island that not many people know where it is. It's nested on the peaceful corner of Sunset beach with only a handful of rooms so it's quite a private and quiet lovely place. The room was spacious and clean. The obvious highlight was that magnificent sunset view looking over the Jabang channel and all other national park islands. Their service from everyone at the resort was really great. We were looked after well and they went extra miles in everything to make our stay as best possible. The free ride to town made getting around pretty easy and was worth it alone as it saved us the taxi cost of 50 baht per person per ride. The beach wasn't sandy with a lot of rocks but offered great viewing landscape. All in all, highly recommended and it's probably the reason why we would come back to Lipe again.

Me and my bf we were just overly satisfied about everything the resort staff have ever done for us. The service is undoubtedly the best thing we have to mention. We had troubles to buy tickets from Lipe to Krabi due to a off-season situation but soon we found problems solved by thoughtful staff and the lovely girl from the reception. Everything was perfectly settled. Besides, things I love most about the resort would be its location and food. The sunset beach is rated as the worst beach on the island when compared with pattaya and sunrise beach but we just hold the opposite opinions. This beach is way quieter and more private to have an intimate stay with your partner and the sunset there you can see is just killing it. Having meals on the cliff and enjoying a massage at their massage centre are highly recommended. During our stay, Natalia, the cute dog adopted by the resort staff came over for several times which brought us lots of fun. I guess Sawan is just the best you can have in Koh Lipe.

An excellent place to stay, with the warmest hospitality I have experienced in Thailand during 8 years of visiting. Lovely family resort with great food (massaman made by mother) and excellent service. Very nice was the free transport service to walking street. Nice room for the price compared to other places on Koh Lipe. Also nice is the walking distance to Sunset beach as well as Sunrise beach. We can definitely recommend it to other customers.

Long Bay is a beautiful small resort with its own little beach where you can snorkel from and lounge by the nearby beach bar and restaurant. They are building their own restaurant at the moment. The main beaches of sunset beach ( less busy ) and Pattaya ( more touristy and busy ) are easily walked to and there are tonnes of taxis about anyway. Highly recommend this place

Ok this is cheap and well situated. However I arrive at 5pm (reception normally open from 10am to 6pm), I waited for 1hour because no one was there, I sent several messages, I get an answer only one day later. Hopefully another traveler helped me to find someone in the island to do the check in with me but without this guy, I had no where to go.. Moreover, lots of insects and the mosquitoes net isn't enough, I got bit all over the body.. You will hear everything in the bungalow next to you also .. One good point is the eco-friendly to avoid to much plastic. I won't go again!

The Hotel is located in the middle of Sunset Beach (walking around 10min) and Walking Street (walking around 5min), it is good for those who would like to stay near sunset beach and spent less for accomodation. The owner was very kind and friendly, during our stay he provide a transport to send us to Sunset Beach & Immigration Passport Check Point at Pattaya Beach with FOC.

The best possible location on Koh Lipe if you want to see real in a way of relax, nature and hospitality. All in all, if i bool another hotel, Koh Lipe could be a huge disappointment for me. How could any one stay on Pattaya beach between dozens of boats. I don't know. I think – sunset beach is the only real opportunity to choose from on Koh Lipe, and Pitiusas is a best one on it!

We enjoyed our stay so much we added onto our plans and booked 7 nights in all! The location is excellent, right on Sunset Beach with a restaurant to watch the sunset/ The resort is very quiet for an extremely pleasant stay. The staff are very friendly and Poom at the restaurant treated us very well. Sa and the kitchen staff were great preparing hot delicious food quickly in a very clean and efficiently run kitchen. The bungalows are very large and well appointed with king beds, TV/DVD, large bathroom, sitting areas in and out, breezy and quiet. The dive staff are very accommodating and have all the gear required including kayaks, boards, dive and snorkel and more. It takes about 10- 15 minutes to walk to the other beaches or walking street. We would highly staying if you seek a quiet sanctuary on one of the nicest beaches in the area.

We loved Lipe sunset beach resort. It's a little bit away from town as well as all the party people. If you want quiet this is the place. The best beach on the island can be reached in 5 minutes at low tide. You can get a 3 minute ride into town from Ton for free or you can tip him if you use his service a lot. The room we had was awesome. A small one room bungelow with air conditioner, small frig and safe. It has an private outdoor shower and Western style toilet. Keng who is the owner is very kind, accommodating and helpful. His English is good. Ton the driver is great. We had a lot of fun with the staff. Coffee, toast and fruit provided in the morning. Paradise on earth. We booked the fan bungalow, and it was the best choice for what we were looking for: cheap and charming! The bungalow had an amazing view of the beach and it offered everything you need. Super comfy bed. Authentic atmosphere with all the wood walls and exotic vibe...Even if the island is naturally full of mosquitoes, we had no problem at all in the bungalow. The location is perfect, in Sunset Beach, which is the most quiet of them. They have a charming restaurant in the beach where you can have amazing food and mouth-watering fresh cononuts. You can rest in their chaise longs and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the place. Even if the beach is not the best one in terms of snorkeling and the color of the water, it is really charming. Do not miss the mojito bar during sunset! It is spectacular. Lucas was an amazing host, really helpful with everything, offering great recommendations and super friendly. Truly,the only bad thing was having to leave. 100% recommended!

we had a great stay at cosy cove, the owner and his wife are very nice and willing to help in anyway they can, the location is perfect a small cove right between sunset beach and sunrise beach which are both accessible via the beach if your happy to get your feet wet, and a short walk into the main food busy street, we have young children and they had no problem with the walk to town, its quiet and breezy listening to waves wash at night, hot water and aircon. and a chaiselounge to chill out on the balcony. its a great family spot or a romantic getaway, its not a generic hotel with wifi mod cons etc, but an authentic stay in a thai family run business, with only a few cabins. I will always stay here when visiting Lipe.

I would give Phuritra Sabai 3 stars of 5 1. star: The stuff is great. They are all very kind and open minded. It's a very familial atmosphere to feel comfortable. 2.star: Although the Bungslows are elementary, they are clean. Houskeeping is every day, the pillows, linens and towels are hygenic. 3. star: the location is wonderfull, the sunset beach, where you can find calmless apart from the crowed beaches, is very close. You can use their facilities there (lajak, mats, chairs...). 1.Contra: Stuffs English skills are not well. Communication isn't always easy 2.Contra: value for money. For the same price you can get in Bkk a 35m2 appartement in a 4star hotel. You have to consider that living in the bungalow is like camping. Cozy but very simple. The Bungalows aren't totally close, Bugs, Mosquitos etc can easy enter.

The hotel is located in sunset beach. We upgraded the room without hesitation when we saw the view from the resort. The beach is just under the resort, you can also have a nice meal in the restaurant in the beach. Kayak is available for rent and also a massage shop next to the resturant. Very quite beach, staffs are friendly and helpful. A little bit far from the walking street but still walking distance. Nothing to complain about , would definitely stay here again if we come back lipe !!!
