Our stay at the hostel was great, location was fantastic (near to kaikoura whale watch, supermarket and the town for cafes and restaurants. Tim and his mum Joan were very friendly and kind, and allowed us to shower at their facilities after our whale watch experience as we were flying off that night. We were really grateful for their kind gesture! Recommended place!
Tim and his mum do a wonderful job running this hostel! It is such a nice place to stay and the kitchen, lounge and bathroom are all kept so clean. Couldn’t recommend staying here more!

Very cosy, warm and clean. The dorm rooms have a maximum of 4 beds, everyone is social and the bathrooms are very nice. Like home! 100000% recommend :)
