As a group of birdwatchers, we chose B&B as our accommodation again this year, looking forward to continuing last year's wonderful experience. Last year, the comfortable lodging environment and the unique ecological setting allowed us to encounter the agile figure of the hornbill in the courtyard, and the rich and delicious meals left us with a deep impression. However, this year's three-day stay left us deeply disappointed, especially due to the unfair treatment we encountered in terms of service, which significantly affected our travel mood. During our stay, the front desk staff member we interacted with most frequently displayed significant problems in service attitude, showing obvious preferential treatment towards guests of different skin colors. One member of our team has limited English proficiency and when trying to order food at the front desk, this staff member not only lacked the necessary patience but also caused misunderstandings during communication, leading us to order dishes that were not what we wanted. In our daily interactions, we clearly felt her cold and perfunctory attitude towards us, while she was always warm and attentive to other white guests, making us feel extremely uncomfortable. Additionally, one afternoon around three o'clock, one of our friends attempted to place an order and was refused by this staff member on the grounds of it being outside meal hours, which we understood as it complied with hotel regulations. However, it was unacceptable that at almost the same time, several white guests came to order and were promptly served, successfully getting their meals. This practice of applying double standards to different guests under the same circumstances is undoubtedly discriminatory towards us, making us feel that our rights have been severely violated. We have always held B&B in high regard and had high expectations, and the service discrimination we experienced this time formed a huge contrast to our previous good impressions. We strongly hope that the management team of B&B can take this issue seriously and enhance staff training to ensure that all guests receive fair, just, and warm service. We hope that B&B can quickly improve service quality to avoid similar situations in the future, restoring our trust and fondness for this place.
