Simple and practical”
We had family room 6. Room was simple and basic, but clean and everything works. Location is beautiful, close to beach, and I liked this beach the most. Various categories or dinning available.

Nice staff, lovely location, but”
Sorry but in a 4 day stay the room wasn’t cleaned once, I got fresh towels and water after 2 days but the bed was never changed and the trash wasn’t taken out. I upgraded to a deluxe but I think that’s a bad choice as the regular rooms looked brighter, cleaner and nicer. Broken wooden steps and decking to get to the room and nothing worked well. Safe - not working. Water boiler - not hot. Hairdryer - very weak. TV - had to juggle the plugs to get it working and only a few thai channels. Aircon worked fine and the shower was hot. The staff are nice though and the restaurant serves good food, but for a few baht more I’d stay elsewhere.

China first!”
Manager prefer chinesse clients, not helpful personal. No room services, only 2 towels for 4 person and even not change for 3 days. We find nices and valuable locations on the same beach later. Go there only when you are Chinese.

Cockroach on the Bed”
Cockroach bigger than my thumb on the bed when I arrived. Response was that they’d bring clean towels and they didn’t for two days, nor make the bed or anything. No checkin, you just have to figure out to get to the restaurant on the beach. Yes this is not an English speaking country, I understand, but there was no one to translate for tourists. Was told there were no snorkeling tours, so I went to the hotel next door to book one and there was plenty available. Managed to have a wonderful time despite how horrible the hotel was.

Waste of money, worst experience ”
I'm not satisfied with room, what I paid for.

Aging but good value for money.”
getting there: from ban phe you can take a ferry from wongduan pier to the resort leaving at 10 am and 1:30 pm for baht. drops right at the beach without the necessity of taking a songtau. you may or may not skip paying the park fee depending on whether the officer meets your boat. got a good deal from agoda. owner tried to upsell based on proximity to the beach but all the amenities were the same so we stuck with the agoda deal which was maybe 200 meters off the beach. room was not a bungalow but a series of four rooms together. sound was not too bad though you could occasionally hear the neighbors next door. amenities included: garden view, air conditioning, hot/cold water, queen size bed, refrigerator, hotpot, daily coffee and water, sophon cable tv. there is a porch with chairs and a place to hang wet clothes. bed slept fine though all asian beds are a little harder than i'm used to. only issue was low pressure in the shower. the guesthouse offers a 10% discount at their restaurant. the restaurant food was good and comparably priced. they have raised platforms and cushions to lounge away the day. staff was efficient and pleasant. they were not pushy about letting you just hang out and ordering the occasional drink while you enjoyed the sand and surf.

Good Place! ”
Nice place to stay in Wongduan, Koh Samet! Have a decent bungalow though need to watch out for mosquitoes.

Excellent staff and location”
After a very bumpy ride on the roads of Koh Samet I arrived at my destination. The bungalow had everything I needed. Nice large bed, T.V, which I didn't use. Who watches T.V when you have a beautiful beach 1 minute 30 seconds away. Air Con, of which I did use. Simple. The owner was always very helpful and cheery. I would go back here the next time I am in Thailand.

Pleasant stay incredibly close to the beach”
I had a great time at the Seahorse Bungalow. I arrived late but the staff were very accommodating and were around to help me check in when I got there. I booked a superior Thai House and it was comfortable and clean. The property is right on the beach and serves some very nice fried rice for breakfast and also gives you a discount on food and drinks if you're staying there. The only slight negative was that there a machine which routinely made a noise during the night quite close to my room. A pair of earplugs would have been more than enough to cover it though. Overall a good stay and fantastic value.

New experience on Koh Samet”
I knew nothing about Koh Samet before I left, and I want to give you an idea what this place is about. First, unless you stay at one of the super duper resorts off unto themselves, this island is basically cottage-type accommodations. It is not a super duper resort island like over by Trat. And as of this writing, the infrastructure is limited. There are only dirt roads between the villages and they are NOT good dirt roads. It was scary riding around on them, with the combo package of constant ruts, sand and hills, especially if you are responsible for someone riding with you. I just assumed there was a shuttle service between beaches, but no, there is not, except by ferry perhaps, which I don't know anything about. So when you get accommodations at one beach, you are basically THERE. Sea Horse 2 is not at the main beach, and the main beach is much nicer, although Vong Duem beach is nice. The restaurants basically go right up to the beach. You can eat with your toes in the water at high tide. The water is warm even in December so swimming is pleasant. We got our hopes up that we were right on the beach after all, because the restaurant by the beach gave us our keys. But then we walked up the dirt alley all the way to the main road to reach our lodging, which is a row of reasonably new rooms to stay in. They were basic and spartan as could be, but had all the basics, wifi, Thai TV, bed, dresser, fridge, hot shower, toilet. The reason we stayed here is we made reservations at the last minute between Christmas and New Years and there were two places to choose from on the entire island, and this was about 50 dollars cheaper and the other place had reviews of "overrated." When I made the reservation my friend goes, oh, why that beach? I didn't know better. One can develop a genuine feeling of island fever if you expect any kind of activities beyond eating and laying on the beach here. Clean, sufficient, but I would want to stay in town ne

Simple accomodation at a good price.”
We have been to Samet many times and stayed at Seahorse 2 twice. In Standard room w terrace which was a bit further up from the beach (like a minute walk) and Superior w terrace. This is not a luxurious hotel, but nice, clean and simple rooms with AC, hot water and fridge. Good value for money at what I think is the nicest beach on Samet.

Beautiful place.”
Nice and great. Good service. Delicous food. But one thing must be remind for those who will visit this hotel - only two boat schedule (09:30AM & 13:30) can reach the beach around sea horse 2 - BAN PHE-AO VONGDUEN, and boarding near the NUANTHIP PIER but not NUANTHIP PIER. The taxi on Samet is no good. A short distance needs to pay lots.

Ok for the money. ”
The hotel comprises many small buldings 1/2 floors and separate elevated wooden houses in Thai style -all scattered over a big area. Office (reception) is at the beach restaurant. The hotel seems have double name: Sea Horse 2/Green Place-maybe marketed differently for separate markets including Chinese (for groups- can be bit noisy). Our "Standard" room was small but clean. We noticed a TV set was removed - so the hotel manager gave us another bigger room in another building, The breakfast was included and it was not bad. The beach here is quite good though we liked more Ao Wai beach. In daytime high tide, in the evening low tide in the beaches, Motorbike rent was 500 thb/day in Vongduaen beach. Dinner food is not so cheap in the beach restaurants in Vongduaen. The food is good and inexpensive in the main tourist area near Sai Kaew beach. There is a daily boat from Vongduaen Resort to Ban Phe Pier at 8.15 in the morning(70 thb) and 2 times from another part of the beach:12:00&1more.

Amazing beach”
The rooms are small, slightly outdated, but comfortable and clean. The staff are amazing and the beach is a two minute walk from the rooms. There are beatiful little restaurants on the beach with amazing views, where you can relax all day long. You even get a discount if you eat at the restaurant attached to the Seahorse Bungalow 2. They could clean up the area surrounding the bungallows, especially when you go from the main road towards the bungallows.

Great beach, good food, family friendly.”
This hotel front is directly on the beach. Direct access to beautiful little bay with a great sand beach. Rooms are back from beach with no water view, if that is important to you. Many tours and transportation booking options available from the hotel. Restaurant right on Beach front. I would stay there again for great internet price and convenient location to beach.
