Sai Kaew Beach hotels & places to stay

Sai Kaew Beach Resort is a perfect gateway to the paradise island of Koh Samet. It’s located on the beach and has a private beach area. In my opinion, Sai Kaew Beach Resort is the best choice in Koh Samet Island. They will delight you in every step of your stay here. We went there walk in without any prior booking. As their quoted price on sport was higher than Agoda we booked it through Agoda mobile app. If you book earlier they will provide both way transportation from the pier to resort. The resort is very clean and modern. View from the room was breathtaking. We enjoyed the food here. I will definitely come back here if I come to Koh Samet.

Avatara is in a great position on the Hat Sai Kaew beach. Room set back up a steepish incline, luckily my room was on the bottom floor, else there would of been steps as well. Rooms big and clean with an airy feel, just a little dirty around the grouting in the bathroom. Breakfast included, buffet style in the beach restaurant. A good variety of dishes and drinks, worth the extra fee. Some of the staff friendly some very hard work. Avatara was set right on Hat Sai Kaew beach, I would say the nicest part, as it was quieter, away from the main/busier/crowded area, although only a minute walk. The main town is a nice 10 minute walk from the hotel, Would be my first choice when returning to Koh Samed

This seemed like one of the best options on Sai Kaew beach, and we weren't disappointed. The owner and staff were extremely attentive, the room was comfortable and with a great view. In total we were in Thailand for two weeks (here for about five days) and tried food all over the place, from street stalls to five-star resorts; the fish with red curry we had at SummerDay was easily the favorite. Highly recommended for a stay, or at the bare minimum, for some excellent cooking

This is a pleasant little hotel and I don't have major complaints, but it seems a bit overpriced for what you get. It's newly renovated, but simple and the rooms smell a bit bad. The wifi wasn't great nor the TV. The front of the hotel is confusing to find and very ugly. But you are paying for location. It is the prime spot for all the Sai Kiaw Beach attractions. You are not looking at the beach, but you are extremely close to it and all the restaurants. I'd stay there again if the price was about lower than what I paid. (It was a Thai public holiday and high season).

The hotel itself is a great location at the end of white sand beach, bike hire, shop etc.....near to some bars if you want to party or quiet enough to chill out if not. Only suggestions would be: cut the trees down to improve view of the beach.this will allow you to increase room rate Change key process as I was very nervous about leaving key in a box to be cleaned accessible to everyone, needs to at least a drop into a slot behind counter. Safe deposit boxes could do with upgrade only 3 digit key code. Allow card payment as cash only can catch people out. Other than that, great spot, great team and a great stay. our first stay at saikaew villas was 12 years ago when there were only a few places to stay and the beach was empty. the room we stayed in has changed little in that time, although our room was clean and spacious and what we required for a 3 day break at the beach. (we have stayed in much worse for the same cost on this beach) they are updating the rooms and there are modern rooms available for a little extra. the bathroom was functional but would benefit from some diy and breakfast was not much to write home about. staff were helpful and organised our speedboat and oversized minivan to take us back to bangkok at a good rate, carrying all of our bags and helping the children on and off the boat and minivan. we have a very romantic view of saikaew villa and would stay again.

Miss Hong was a pleasant host. The place is very basic but the value is good. My only complaint would be that there was no refrigerator in the room like stated on Agoda. Otherwise my stay was good. Getting there: As usual, Agoda's map is not that accurate and the streets are easy to pass. The easiest way to find it would be to look for Miss Hong house on the way to the big Sai Kaew Beach resort. You can walk through this resort for easy access to the beach. Don't make the mistake of walking all the way through town to the beach where you will be stopped and told that there is an entrance fee to the national park. You don't have to go this way to get to Miss Hong house or the beach. I prefer to avoid these fees that clearly aren't used to benefit the park .

The hotel was quite new and the cleanliness was highly appreciated. It is located at the center of a very nice but crowded beach. It is also very close to the capital of Ko Samet, which is a street of a few 100 m with shops, restaurants and guest houses. I recommend skipping the rooms with sea-view to get away from the noise. During the day, there are a lot of boats that makes more noise than you might imagine and later there the night-life begins. The rooms have a little bit of a "naive and creative" design that may not appeal to everybody and the furniture was sparse. The bed was very comfortable. I recommend renting a moped to go see other beaches.
