Genting SkyWorld Hotel Family of 4; parents & 2 kids 30th Nov 2025 We arrived from Singapore by direct bus, Z-Club Transtar. Took us 6-hr with a short toilet break at Ayer Keroh R&R. The lobby had many guests checking in & out. But it was fast when our turn came. Room was not ready so we placed our luggage at concierge & went out exploring. The Hotel & Surroundings This hotel is located opp the Arena of Stars & SkyAvenue Mall. Access to the malls will be on the 2nd floor & u got to walk quite a distance, but it will be worth it. The bridge will be your best fren, heh! There were so many shops & eateries u will be spoilt for choices. The place was buzzing & it felt good with the cold outdoors. Then there was the theme park; the indoor & the outdoor one. The hotel lobby was like a mini playground! There were photo area with the ‘Genting Mascots’ & a slide. It was X’mas deco when we were there. Opposite the hotel is another mall with less shops. We had a few meals at Old Town Café. There is a food court there as well, but I don’t think it’s halal though. There was a convenience store, 168 Store, that sells almost everything, haha! Check-In The hotel did a messenger service & notified me when the room was ready. This hotel has many automated Self-Service Check-In Kiosk. So help yourself to check-in on your own. It took us about 3mins to check-in. Do note they hv this Early Check-In Fee if u make a request at front desk: Check-In Time Surcharge per room 0600-0900hrs RM20 0900-1200hrs RM10 1200-1500hrs RM5 Room The room was perfect, not too big with a step up to two queen-size mattresses. 6 pillows & the bed linens were fresh. There were no AC in the room as it was already in a nice temperature. There were 2 fans, one on the ceiling & one on the wall. TV, remote, kettle, fridge & air purifier all worked well! Nescafe & Lipton tea bags, stirrer with sugar & creamer were available complimentary. The bathroom was not big but long with two sinks, enuf space for everyone! There were the usual disposable toiletries for use. Bath & hand towels were clean & fresh. The shower & toilet were separate. I hv no complaints here, really. Facilities We did not venture much around this hotel, except there was this small garden that overlooks down Genting. The view was tremendously nice! Go take ur family photo there for flashbacks down the years. U got to go out & walk around the hotel to get to this garden, worth the walk among the clouds! We also did not get the breakfast at this hotel, so unable to comment. Checkout was fast. U drop your card into these wall-mounted card management box. Brilliant idea! Staff Hotel staff were friendly, helpful & professional. They truly serve the Malaysian hospitality during my stay. To be improved The road just after the hotel drop-off needs to be made good. There were much gravels & it got dusty with airborne sand everytime a vehicle passes thru. Our room window faces that 'sandstorm' pass. Hope this can be improved. Overall, I am happy with my stay.
