The hotel is located right next to the Spicy Girl Hot Pot Restaurant and Lamb Stew. There are many restaurants and convenience stores outside, which is very convenient. The sound insulation is okay, but the internet is relatively weak. Daily necessities are complete (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, coffee, tea, mineral water, needles and thread). The hygiene is clean and the price is cheap. The double bed is very large and comfortable.

The family room is decent and clean. However, there are some areas that could be improved. For instance, the bathroom window should be easier to close and it would be more convenient to have enough flip flops for the entire family.

TL;DR: Just no. Book somewhere else. Many other reviewers have complained about the understaffing issue and the extremely slow check in process, and I can say they are all accurate. This hotel is so chronically understaffed that the person at the check in counter has "not slept all night". Upon my check in, the staff at the front desk informed me that their housekeeper "had run away" and the single housekeeper remaining would come downstairs later to clean - this was at 7pm in the evening. I got my room key anyway after a 30 minute wait, intending to just put my bags down, get changed, and head to a concert nearby. In the room, I was greeted by a surprise guest - a live cockroach (not that it would’ve been more acceptable had it been dead)! This one was found under the duvet on the bed. Unfortunately, that was not even the only one - there was one by the cups/water bottles on the counter, and another emerged from around the sink when I tried to wash my hands after killing the other two. All were quite small (at least adolescent sized) which probably meant there were many more lurking about unseen. The desk, chair, and sofa were stained and grimy (from a distance, I didn’t even dare to look closer after the first few roaches). The curtains had mold on them. At least the sink looked clean (until the cockroach emerged). I had to stand out in the corridor to get some mobile data (the WiFi was very weak to the point of uselessness, if you’re a Maxis customer, reception is terrible btw) and while I was there, a lady from a neighbouring room came out to ask me “has your room been cleaned yet??”. Hers was not either and she had checked in at 4pm (it was 8pm by now). There were bags of trash, towels, and sheets left in front of other room doors - we wondered if other residents had simply done their own room turn-overs. I left for the concert, and returned at about 1am. The rooms were not yet cleaned. I didn’t stay the night. At that point I was exhausted and felt like it was better to potentially lose money over dealing with additional conflict, the horribly slow front desk process, and a room change in a full yet understaffed hotel. Thankfully I’m from KL and drove up to Genting so I could just drive home. I can’t imagine being a tourist from another country in this situation. The Pahang State Govt charges RM3 for a “sustainability charge” and an additional RM10 if you’re a foreigner - frankly I would really like to know what they are sustaining here other than continued disappointment and contributing to the local cockroach population. It’s embarrassing. In the end, I simply went back to the front desk and checked out. In the process, the front desk staff (who was the same person, btw - please staff this hotel better. I can’t even entirely blame her for being that grumpy, she clearly is extremely overworked and sleep-deprived) told me that I was not even checked in, and therefore she had to check me in to then check me out. All logic left the building; I fully dissociated at this stage and just waited another 20 minutes so I could leave - she was holding my identity card hostage at that point, and whatever energy I had left, I decided to save it for making the drive down safely instead of spending it on being angry. I want to clarify that I haven’t even tried to pursue a refund or anything over all this. I’m writing this review because this was a genuinely disappointing experience, and if you’re an easily exhausted, conflict avoidant, roach-fearing person like myself, please save yourself the trouble and spend maybe a little extra for a nicer, reliable, and cockroach-free hotel with competent front desk and housekeeping staff. My mistake in booking this place was simply not reading reviews beforehand. I hope whoever reads this avoids making my mistake.

Great value for money. Located at Gohtong Jaya. 20 minutes drive to Genting top. Grabcar service is available Big and clean room . Comfortable bed. Bathroom is slightly small. Basin is outside the bathroom. Lots of restaurants nearby hotel, walking distance. Nearby attraction is a small strawberry farm. However, please note there is a delivery of linens activity happening everyday at wee hour from 2am at every floor. Our room no 222 is just opposite the linens room. The sound of the moving trolley along the corridor was unbearable that it woke us up in the middle of the night. And the truck delivering the linens was parked right below the window of our room and it made so much disturbing sound. Nevertheless, the Hotel Manager, Yvonne was kind enough to change room for us the next day upon my complaint. We were able to sleep well the 2nd night.

It was a busy weekend, so there was abit of a delay in the room preparation. However, i understand as the hotel was understaffed and had to clean over 200 rooms in one go. Overall had a pleasant stay and great time. The receptionist is adorable and funny too! Just hope they add to their manpower as it seems like some of them are overworking themselves. Great work, keep up!
