we were overjoyed when idyllic concept resort upgraded us for our honeymoon from the garden view to the sea view room. the staff at the resort are extra friendly and done all they could to assist us and make our stay pleasant, they even gave me a toothbrush when satun pakbara speedboat company lost my backpack and went to collect it for me from the other side of the island the next day. we spent days sitting on the provided sunloungers on the clean beach, hanging out with the very friendly dogs (and sometimes feeding them). "on" was very friendly and helpful and it was sad to leave. i'd have no hesitation in recommending idyllic as the best resort on the island.

So we are travelling through Asia. Philippines. Vietnam Malaysia Thailand. We know we love Thailand having been here many times before. We decided to route through Langkawi then Koh Lipe on route to Koh Lanta. We booked into this hotel for two nights unsure on what the island had to offer. The ferry from langkawai was pretty grim as the boat had poor windows and no outside seating but soon over. Customs and immigration was an island experience! Once done into hotel. Hotel is clean friendly and a prime location on Pattaya beach. Yes the beach is busy but not in a crowded way but nice bars hotels boats etc. Pool overlooks the bay. Hotel had all you need from a hotel and a short walk to walking street. Plenty of restaurants local food. Western food and usual shops and massages. Think mini phi phi. But from the side opposite the ferry’s and no McDonald’s. !! We walked around the island and decided we had the best location and hotel. So the big problem ,,,,,,,,,, We are still here ! We want to explore other islands before Koh Lanta. But keep deciding why move when everything we love is here. Currently at 7 nights and still no plans to go. Reception have got used to the request. Another two days please !

It was a great stay with Bundhaya Villas though it was a bit distance from the Satun Praba Imigresen. The rooms especially was very clean, romantic and spacious. Room was equip with bath rope, safety box, toiletries, drinking water, TV & even a DvD Player. Just bring your DVD and you can stay in the Hotel to enjoy. Every room have different towel decoration and if you are by group, please share with each other. Is quite interesting. Their food Fried Rice with crab meet @ THB200 is super delicious and the pineapple fried rice @ THB280 is super big portion. Note that they have extra charged of tax & service too. Besides that, the hotel provide massage facilities with few strong lady. However, the beachside massage is better & cheaper than the hotel one. On the other hand, there is a disappointment of thier customer service. They took so long for the bellboy to fetch and send your luggage to the immigration as promise. My experience is we waited them for almost 2 hours to fetch us at the immigration point while other hotels bellboy were waiting for their guest to arrive or to dismiss from the immigration check point. SO REMEMBER TO INFORM them earlier on the day what time you arrive and which station you are at. If you don't have much luggage, I will have suggest you to get a 2nd floor room (no lift). At least you have the balcony to dry your laundry. Also, speciality of 2nd floor room is that is extended with a romantic outdoor shower besides the indoor one. In all, my group were satisfied with the arrangement and have a wonderful moment there.

From the moment we walked up the stairs to the resort the staff were there to welcome us with a drink and cold towel. Throughout or stay they kept up their great service standard - always with a smile. We saw many hotels during our stay on Lipe and, by far, Serendipity was the best. Rustic, wooden, laidback eco-chic would be one way to describe. This is not a luxury hotel but it is a solid four star. Very comfortable. The views are unbelievable and the private little bay is gorgeous. You won't go wrong with Serendipity!

the bundhaya is located on satun, koh lipe. there are a large selection of accommodation and warmly service from bundhaya. a stay such fantastic natural surrounding is a wonderful experience which you'll never forget spend. bundhaya resort is the place close to nature with white & softest sand beach. truly a haven of peace and tranquility. experience the senses of the sand like powder and crystal clear water, all can be for your dream holiday. a nature accommodation up to your style to selected facilities in your bungalow or room such as air-conditioned, ubc tv satellite, hot shower, hair dryer, private shower and private balcony or terrace. bundhaya resort, serving breakfast at bundhaya restaurant in buffet style.

We were taken by boat to this hotel from 1 of the hotel pattaya beach.. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly, attentive and a good customer service staff, named eddie tan. It was a very very warm welcome! We were given aloe vera welcome drinks too.. When they brought us up to our room, which is the highest villa (was quite a climb,but it was all worth it) because when we arrived at our room, it was decorated for honeymooners and had the very best view of all of the other villas. We were so touched! We had our privacies that we needed, best view of the beach and sea and a very attentive staff. The breakfast was a free flow every morning. You can even have a morning swim in front of the resto and still order breakfast, as long as its still 0730-1030. Even in front of the hotel, you can snorkel and see fishes! The beach is cleaned everyday.. The owner even send us to the boat to bid farewell to us on our lasr day in Lipe.. we will definitely come again! 👍🏼

The island is quite far away from land. It took 1:10 hr for a 4x200 Hp engines boat to reach the island from Pak Bara pier. There are 2 companies provide boat services to the island. At the time we went there was in the low season so there would be only 1 boat to go to Lepe, departed around 11 am. In the high season, after 16 November, there will be more boats going to Lepe daily. The island is beautiful though not quiet. The beach front land are littered with small cheap looking bungalows. So Sita stands out from the crowd. There is a narrow road or "Walkinh Street" which connects 2 sides of the island together. It also serves as a shopping mall for foods, drinks, messages and diving sevices. The rooms we had were "Superior Sea View" which were on the hill in the resort. The location was the least convenion to go to the beach or hotel restaurant but it had the best view of the sea. The room was well designed with separate shower and toilet. The hotel had a 2nd swimming pool on the hill side as well so we could swim in the pool with a great view of Andaman sea. The worst part of Lepe island is the foods and drinks which cost 3-4 times more expensive than the shop on land. So the resort's breakfast is a heavenly treat.

We were 4 people and stayed with the hotel for 4 nights. There was nothing negative to mention. The staff was every time helpful and ready to response to clients requests. Everything was organized very well, specially to mention are boat trip to neighbouring islands and transfers. The location of the hotel is great: one of the best areas on the Sunrise beach and 5 minutes walk on the beach to the point where you can see the sunset. Thanks a lot to hotel's staff and recommendation to everybody to book this hotel.

We were a couple from Malaysia who booked Castaway at the beginning. However, due to the unpleasant stay which had a lot of mosquito for the first night, we planned to move out for Cabana for the second night stay. Rooms are clean but don't expect like those international 5 stars hotel. Staff was helpful to help us to move in from Castaway. Cons: The hotel is not huge as Castaway Resort. So it does not have Restaurant or Cafe for us to sit down to enjoy the view from the Koh Lipe Sunrise Sea. Therefore, we order our breakfast through a set of menu given by Cabana and staff will send over to our room. On top of that, we have our lunch at Castaway as the food is SUPERB! Would recommend Cabana if you just want to have a simple, nice and comfortable resort for your stay in Koh Lipe. :)

It is a very pleasant stay indeed. Like many others already mentioned in their comments, the staff and the service at Asara is among the best I’ve ever seen. Me and my girlfriend had one big problem we just realized before we landed in Hat Yai, that since our flight was landing at 1:40pm, we may not be able to make it to Koh Lipe on the same day because the last ferry sets sails at 3:30. We contact the resort about the problem, and the staff tried really hard to get us in touch with a very reliable travel agency to book a private taxi from the airport to the pier and also the ferry tickets. We were very lucky to make it to the island in the afternoon, and not waste our first night’s reservation, because of the help from the resort. The resort is not big, but very well located by the sunset beach, where you can watch the sun going down from the pool every day(also from your balcony). The honeymoon suite we are staying at is quite spacious and tidy, it comes with jacuzzi too but we didn’t use it and went kayaking in the evening instead. The breakfast is good and you get a taste of fusion foods, the spicy pork fried rice is awesome. The only thing I’d complain is Asara is on the far side of the island from the walking street, which means you need to commute if you want to have some night life. But hey! Asara has got free taxi service as well! I’d like to take this chance to thank the staff at Asara. We really enjoyed our stay and we’ll make sure to come back again.

Every place in Koh Lipe is "overpriced", so when reading Lipe hotel reviews I suggest ignoring this frequent comment and just understand that prices are high here due to supply and demand. We've been to Lipe twice and stayed at 3 resorts, this one is our favourite. It has a pleasant layout, nice clean wooden rooms with A/C and a friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is not bad (not great, but better than other places we stayed, fresh eggs, some bacon, toast, fruit etc), and the food overall is pretty good and not too expensive. Some things to be aware of, the bathrooms on each room are not fully enclosed, private but open air, so some mosquito coils come in handy. There is a 350m walk to the walking street, and at night a flashlight is a must. When the tide switches there is a current running parallel to the beach. This is not a big problem at all, but if you've gone out for snorkel and are trying to swim back, you might need to come ashore a little further down the beach than you entered rather than fight against the current. Fins are helpful. This hotel is on Sunrise beach, it's quieter than Pattaya beach, and we preferred it.

I found some crazy reviews before this booking. Please read my review if you have some concerns about the resort and island. Those negative reviews are unacceptable from my perspective. I feel very sorry who had hard times in this place and resort. Do not go to Koh Lipe Island if you have problems with nature. Mosquitos, flyers everywhere on the island. Island is very tiny so resorts have not big spaces and lands. You will also live in bungalow on tiny island so please stop complain about roster crowing, sea waves and other peoples walking or their talking. I am also very sorry and disappointed whoever brings trolley luggages. I saw 70 kgs trolley luggages who are trying to drag it on the beach. Dear traveller friends. You will have minimum 2 boat trips and minimum 2 car transfers until the island. Please show your mercy to your self and do not bring those luggages to the islands. Save and take care your back, thai speed ferry staff, hotel staff, Car and bus drivers. The hotel staff and island locals are amazing. They are all smiling and we found them very friendly. I also founded coldest beer in the town just right next to hotel on the beach. Vibe bar is coolest beach bar i've ever seen with dream catchers, lights and music. Magical atmosphere and stuff. Satun Dive Resort, located right on the beach with amazing location. Close everywhere. Yo do not need to wash your face. Just get out from resort and dive in. Get some cocktails on your back to your room. Best holiday ever. Simple, cozy and positive. Thank you Satun, Vibe and Koh Lipe.

Me and my bf we were just overly satisfied about everything the resort staff have ever done for us. The service is undoubtedly the best thing we have to mention. We had troubles to buy tickets from Lipe to Krabi due to a off-season situation but soon we found problems solved by thoughtful staff and the lovely girl from the reception. Everything was perfectly settled. Besides, things I love most about the resort would be its location and food. The sunset beach is rated as the worst beach on the island when compared with pattaya and sunrise beach but we just hold the opposite opinions. This beach is way quieter and more private to have an intimate stay with your partner and the sunset there you can see is just killing it. Having meals on the cliff and enjoying a massage at their massage centre are highly recommended. During our stay, Natalia, the cute dog adopted by the resort staff came over for several times which brought us lots of fun. I guess Sawan is just the best you can have in Koh Lipe.

In this budget, this is definitely best hotel I can find. Deluxe hotel is new one so it is well maintained, hardly see the mosquito.. You can see few but it is really normal in Island. There is new big supermarket opened right below the hotel so you can purchase anything you urgently need, it opens until 2 am. This only thing you have to think is you cannot carry towel to the beach, so you should prepare your own extra beach towel for your snorkeling. I specially recommend this hotel to single traveler. A bit small and not private to family travelers.

We had a wonderful stay at this resort. The room was amazing with soft beddings and pillow. Pleasently surprise at the size of the room. Only things was the bathroom had a damp poor ventilation smell but it was something we could overlook. Hospitality from the front desk was top notch, with the receptionist having a relatively good command of english and a good knowledge of the island to help recommend for anything asked, ever smiling lady that reflects the Thai friendly culture. Toiletries were provided and daily towel change so really thumbs up for me. Breakfast wasn't too bad, was surprised you can order more than just one meal per person. We loved the pool as well, clean and warm waters. The best part was the beach right in front of the resort, quiet and view thats all too dreamy straight out of a post card. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely come back here again for our next trip.

Booked this hotel on Agoda based purely on the pictures of the jacuzzi rooms overlooking the ocean. The room not only lived up to the photos but exceeded all expectations. Sunset beach is without doubt the best location on the island. The hotel is only 7 months old and unfortunately there are some teething problems. Power was cut for about 4-5 hours on the first day of our stay rendering both aircon and water pressure in the room useless. There was a beautiful new big flat screen TV on the wall that was wasted as no TV service was available during the period of our stay. Yes I know you don't go on holiday to watch TV but it's quite isolated at that end of the island and it would have been useful. The advertised wifi was also out of service for our stay. Mobile coverage was poor at best and staying in touch with family was challenging. Those problems aside the biggest issue I saw was just the lack of attention to the surroundings. The hotel site suffered from an excess of plastic bags, bottles and assorted remnants from the building process scattered around the site. The beach itself suffered the same fate including an old oil pan off a car that was laying around. There were also bits of broken glass in the sand. Staff would rake the area every morning but it would take a mere 30 minutes to clean up the stuff laying around. This hotel markets itself at the top end but lacks the polish to see it compete at this level. OK enough of the bad. The view from the rooms is nothing short of exquisite. It is far and away the best view I have ever had anywhere in the world. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was top class but priced accordingly and yes I know everything has to be shipped in from the mainland. The hotel organised a snorkelling trip on a long boat that was excellent and well priced. With a bit of attention this hotel could be absolutely fantastic but at the moment a few small niggles hold it back from being all it can be.

We have made a decision to rough it out by staying in a budget hotel and took non-air condition rooms. I read some the reviews made and I would like to point out our observations:: Likes: 1. Safety. You can be assuring when you go about in your leisure time without thinking of losing something important. 2. Warmest. The staff are attentive, helpful nad polite. 3. Taste. Food was great! Mangoes and pineapples were sweet. The local beers were great. 4. Location. I made a correct choice to stay at the sunrise beach. Breezy and cooling. Away from noisy crowded areas like Pattaya Beach area. The beach was just two minutes walk from our rooms. 5. Cooling. The rooms we had did not have air-condition however, it was surprisingly cooling. 6. Serenity. It was break from all our city lives. Just relaxing. 7. Beach. Clean and clear water. Plenty of corals and we watched sunrise. Dislikes: 1. Bathrooms. There was an odour from the bathroom. Somethings cockroaches running around. No instant hot water systems. We had cold showers but we got use to it after a hot day out. 2. Bedrooms. Mosquitos plenty. We did brought along an anti-mozzies spray as a prevention. The hotel did provide mosquito net that you can cover the place. 3. Toiletries. Bring shower gel, shampoos and whatever you need. The hotel do provide them but may not be enough. 4. Pets. There were many dogs around. In fact, the island has many dogs.They were friendly and shouldn't be a show stopper for anyone. 5. Wifi. It could be better if it connects at a higher speed. Anyway, reading a book was better than wifi. we will be returning to this place. Looking forward to that.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with young children and we very much enjoyed it. The front desk lady was very very friendly and gave us a free upgrade to a room that was closer to the beach. When we first walked into the room, we were amazed by the new facilities. Rooms were newly renovated and everything was satisfactory. I am sensitive to mold but couldn't smell anything from the air conditioner. We did not expect such facility for the money we paid. It was absolutely worth it. My wife liked that the hotel was located in Pattaya beach. We've been to all three beaches and Pattaya was the best for families with young children. The sand is so soft that it almost feels like mud and it has many trees along the shore line so that you can place a mat underneath a tree and get an escape from the heat. Sunrise beach is beautiful but not enough trees and the sand doesn't feel as soft. Sunset beach is unrecommended. Water is muddy and too much rocks underwater. Everything was great except that it took about 10 minutes to get to the Walking street for food. Having 2 little kids(1 & 3 years old) it wasn't easy because they kept getting distracted by things on the beach and things that were happening in the beach. If you don't care about walking and you want a less crowded area in the Pattaya beach, this hotel is the one. Strongly recommended. p.s Two things I didn't ask. 1) They had a small car parked in front of the hotel. I don't know if they offer a pickup service for people who arrive at sunrise beach (during low seasons, speedboats arrive at sunrise beach so you need a ride - either a taxi or a hotel pickup. Check with the hotel if you are traveling during low season. 2) They had snorkeling equipments at the front desk. I don't know if they let their customers use it free of charge. Ask before you rent one from the shop.

The hotel is on one of the best spots on sunrise beach has its own private little beach with no tailboats parked up outside like most the other hotels The hotel itself is nice and clean we had the family room for 4 of us 2 adults 2 children and it was perfect 1 king size bed 1 double bed and 1 sofa with great views of the ocean The ocean outside the hotel is great for snorkelling and the hotel have all the equipment u can borrow they also have an underwater camera u can hire and they have memory cards u can buy to keep for 200 baht The hotel staff are very friendly it seems like a family run hotel and the staff can’t do enough for you The only negatives I can think of for people with walking disabilities is it’s a quite steep entry in and out of the hotel if u want to head into the centre of Lipe but u can walk along the beach or there is a little hotel bahtbus that takes people along if requested but we found walking along the beach no problem and is about 10-15 mins walk into the centre of Lipe The breakfast is really basic but still I wouldn’t let that stop us from returning next year 9.5/10 from us

One of the best 3 Star hotels I have ever stayed at, all the staff were very friendly and helpful, without you knowing, they even send a vehicle to collect you from the beach without charge, just look out for the Ricci House Resort sign held up by the driver on the beach. They will also take you back to the beach to catch your boat away. The room was newly kitted out with just enough room to move about. The Hotel did not have a pool but you are only 5 minutes walk from 2 of the best beaches around, and the hotel is located about 50 metres from one end of Walking Street and despite its close proximity to it, it is very quiet. I would most definitely stay there again and recommend it.

Castaway is as advertised. It is not a luxury hotel, but a very nice Eco-friendly bungalow resort. I highly recommend it for the simple life aspect of it. The food and staff are lovely. The deck is a great place to hang out for breakfast and drinks, and to see all the stars at night. Honestly speaking, there is no need for aircon at night or hot water so don't worry about that. It does get a bit hot in the bungalows during the day but why would you stay in your room during a vacation to an island. As far as Lipe goes, it's one of the nicest resorts on the island. I went and looked at all the resorts on Sunrise beach and Castaway was one of the best despite being at a lower price point. There was basically only one other resort I would have preferred to stay at and it was 4x the price. Normally I only stay at 5 star hotels but I was very balky at Castaway.

Kudos to The Green Hotel! We enjoyed our stay with the hotel. The hotel is pretty new as you can see it from the interior, facilities, equipment, etc are all brand new. This hotel is a 2 stars hotel and provide all the basic facilities and services that you need. Our room has a pool access so that was awesome as we can jump straight for a swim. They served almost the same food during breakfast with one or two dishes changed each day. The location of the hotel is also great. It is only 5 minutes walking distance from The Walking Street. There is only one improvement area that the hotel can look into which is the water pressure. The water pressure was very low and there was no water at one point. They managed to fixed it and the water was back after 5 minutes. Overall, a very satisfied guest and definitely come back and stay with The Green Hotel in the future.

The Mali resort on Pattaya beach Koh Lipe was a brilliant stay. We had a garden bungalow which also had a sea view, so it was perfect when we wanted to sit on the terrace and watch the sea. The bungalow itself was very nice and very well presented. Where the resort really wins is in its location. Pattaya beach doesn’t get the sunrise or sunset, but it is a crescent shape, so you get to see both the sea and the sweep of the beach. Directly in front of the hotel is a swimming area and just to one side of that the long tail boats can pick you up if you’re going snorkelling or similar. The Mali restaurant mostly caters for more Western food so you’re best served walking along the beach and eating at one of the other resorts or walking about 10 minutes to get to Walking Street where the bulk of the food and bars are. It’s all really close by. The speedboats arrive at this beach too. The staff at Mali are incredibly helpful, friendly and attentive and do help to make the stay feel special. I’d highly recommend this resort and Koh Lipe itself.

Just minutes after check-in,my son got bloody injured on his left arm after glass surface on tea table broken into pieces. When counter staff heard the minor commotion,prompted him to come to his aid. He called taxi rider to send us to govt clinic instead of expensive international clinic. His heartfelt care really makes us feeling grateful to him,Mr.Lipe Inn.He placed my son priority than the broken table. Sure have to pay the damage cost,but at minimal cost not based on hotel rate.The room itself very good with all facilities except kettle and coffee sachets. Hot water can get from counter. Many notices put in the room asking our cooperation must close door all times to prevent air cond flow out of the room because electric bill quite high even more than land cost,not equal with our booking payment.WiFi is weak same as most hotels.Strategic location at the centre with 3 main directions to Pattaya,Sunshine and Sunset Beach. Supermarket just at next.Taxi riders waiting in line nearby.

Very clean. Especially after cleaning up everyday 5. Thanks for offering two amazing room for my family. It's more private Stay for three nights. Just make me feel like at home. Cons: 1. Room is notvery big. Just basic reqirement. I use the terrace in front of our door to open my suitcase. 2. We booked two rooms. One room's water is little sometimes. In general, I highly recommend this hotel. It's comfortable and make you feel happy and cozy everyday

I highly recommend Harmony. I actually stayed at 3 different places on Koh Lipe and Harmony was by far the best! Here are the highlights: - Spatious rooms - Air conditioning - Clean - Modern - FANTASTIC coffee - Delicious food - croissant, sandwiches, smoothies I stayed in the Mocha room which had 2 huge beds (Queen or Queen/King). It was a fantastic experience. I just wish we could have extended our booking but the hotel was full. The only negatives were perhaps the TV picture quality and availability of English channels (maybe 2)...but who's really watching TV anyway. The beach is only a 2 minute walk so it really did not affect my opinion of the location not being directly on the beach.

We stayed at the resort during low-season and it appears that we were the only customers in the whole building. This was fine, except that the hotel restaurant was closed almost always. This wouldn't be a problem, if the rest of Koh Lipe didn't close during low-season as well. This left us with really only 1 or 2 places to get breakfast and even lunch during our stay. The Staff were always helpful and the rooms were always clean. There was a problem with ants in the room, but that is to be expected if you are anywhere near a coastal region. The beds in the room were very hard and the pillows were very hard as well. So much that we did not get much sleep, because we were always tossing and turning. I also learned that the staff leave at 9pm. If you leave your hotel key with them and you don't come back until after 9pm, they will leave your room key out in the open for anyone to take. So it is best to keep your hotel key with you, if you plan on being out late. On the hotel list amenities, it states that there are international television channels. I guess that only applies during high-season, because during low-season there were only 5 thai language only channels.

I would highly recommend San Pita due to its fantastic location which is just walking distance to the beach and Walking street where all the food and shopping is located in this island. If you're coming by ferry from Langkawi, wait for their hotel transport service after clearing immigration. They will take you to the hotel on a complimentary service. No need to book a motorbike taxi!
