The location is perfect for traveling families . We booked 2 family rooms for us 5 and there was a queen/ king bed and a single bed by the window . It worked out perfectly . Rooms are well insulated so it was comfortable . Facilities are basic , no ref , but who needs it if it's winter ? We just placed our beer inside the double paned window and it got chilled perfectly 😀 The same building has a high end mall with international luxury brands at the ground floor. There's a supermarket at the basement and an excellent Japanese restaurant. In between ibis and the Mykal mall entrance is a food court ( called food street ) food is cheap and very local . Fast food style Hotpot , crepes , soups and Korean style rolls . The drinks are just by the entrance and cheaper too than the hotel lobby vendo . Front desk is helpful and capable in assisting in English , so we didn't have problems. Their breakfast is ok for 22cny but you can always eat next door if you get bored . Overall we had a great stay . We were considering other hotels before booking this but it obviously had better location than the 5 star ones if you are visiting to see the sights. Most 5 star hotels are near the financial centers . Ibis is a short walk ( less than 10 minutes all ) to pedestrian street , Sophia. And Zhaolin park . The flood control monument and the Stalin park and songhua river are 15 to 20 minutes away .

The Hotel is fantastic, best location with Shuttle service to the interest places which are really near to the Hotel. Breakfast is great with a big variety of Western and Asian options. The personal service is outstanding. Hannibal Guan helps us help us greatly. I traveled to many places in the world with my daughters 13 and 16 years old and this was a wonderful experience especially because of the Hotel.

staying here was the icing on the cake for a perfect holiday. this was our first time staying with the shangri la and we loved it. it was very obviously the best hotel option in harbin, head and shoulders above the other accommodation options. worth the price difference given the spectacular views you get (be sure to book a superior room for a guaranteed view) as for as hotels in china go - this was above par for service and food. comparable to a 5 star hotel in europe, or very good 4 star hotel in top asian cities. the standard of food and variety available and the buffets exceeded our expectations. the location was also great for us - it's a very pleasant 20 min walk along the river into the pedestrianized centre of town (zhongyuan lu) - which gives you a chance to walk on the frozen river or join in on any of the frozen river activities. that said, taxis are always readily available outside the hotel and ont eh street, and cheap if you don't like walking in the cold or have small children with you.

I can only highly recommend the hotel to anybody who wants to visit Harbin and want to be in the center close to everything within walking distance. Everything you need is a short walk away. Juky, the Reception Manager was one of the most helpful people I have met in any hotel. She will go above and beyond to help you. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need. Only thing I could ask for is maybe have a few English language channels. But, as you should spend time seeing the ice festival and the sights, this is not a big issue. Overall, we had a good stay.

For a comfortable stay while visiting Harbin in winter, this is the best choice. It was warm and had good breakfast options. Definitely use the help desk in the foyer to arrange taxis for you. It is much better standing inside the warm hotel while you wait and its good to have a Chinese speaker to relay your destination clearly to the driver. We tried to get one ourselves and were duped into a strange snow park near the main tourist attractions.

Jingu is steps away from Songhua river, where many ice activities are available or you may walk to cross the frozen river to the Sun Island. It's also steps away from Zhaolin Park where you can see ice sculpture. Jingu has two excellent restaurants that offer high end authentic Chinese dishes. The buffet breakfast is so good. Lots of dishes including seafood. As hotel guest, we paid half price ~6USD per person. Best value you can find anywhere in the world. Hotel staffs were very polite and helpful. Our flight was delayed so we missed the first night. According to the booking policy, this night can not be cancelled or refunded. But they offerred to take the charge off of my bill. I was very grateful.

The warmth and welcome of the staff is comparable to that of a 5-star hotel. There are a couple of issues with the hostel such as its location (30mins away from the city proper and there’s no nearby Bank of China where currencies can be exchanged but there’s a mall just a block away for groceries) and how hot the room temperature is. But overall, the friendliness of the staff compensates for all these. The receptionist speaks good English. She also assisted us almost on a daily basis on the touristic itinerary that we want but seems not doable. The staff provides solutions to all the problems that I’ve just mentioned. They booked us cabs using their app and they gave us an electric fan inside our room. Very recommended! Thanks to all of the helpful staff

this is my first stay at this hotel and i found it to be very pleasant. the rooms are of a good size, clean and relatively modern with facilities that you would find in the more expensive hotels.i found the staff to be friendly and helpful. some of the information provided in the rooms and relating to the amenities is misleading as the opening times for the sauna etc are incorrect. the pool is good however the change rooms are a little on the dark side and are in need of some cleaning. the gym is very basic. the restaurant is very good and once again the staff are helpful.

this hotel is a good option for people not too concerned with staying in at the big chain hotels, which by the way are not up to standards like in other cities. this hotel had nice rooms..of course not luxury but it was vey and clean. the staff was friendly. viki the sales mgr, speaks fluent english and is very accommodating. english for rest of staff is limited, but this is the same all over harbin. the hotel is two blocks for. the holiday inn which our friends stayed in ....horrible there btw. the hotel is close to the main walking/ tourist street. we got a great deal here. breakfast was not included in our deal , mix of chinese and western food. restaurant tatoc on this streetis great for food. other tip, on the walking street try the famous milk ice cream is 5rmb and it's deelish, you can arrange a driver for ice fair and tiger zoo visits here too. we got the driver for 480 a person (6ppl) bargain hard. - including driver fee and all tix for both tigers and ice fair. went to tigers in morning from 930 to 12:30 and the. got picked up again at 4 to go to ice fair. we actually went to the shangri la for a hot pot lunch in the ice place they have.. highly reccomended. then the f driver picked us up there. best option. all in all we were vey happy at this place. for the girls bring shampoo and conditioner ! they don't have samples. but that's it. oh also, the bed is hard but this is typical in china , we just put the two extra blankets under the bed sheet and it was fine. you re so exhausted for. the walking in the cold anyway....

The address given is correct but the map is misleading. The hotel is just a few steps from airport bus stop in front of Harbin railway station. Facing the railway station , turn right, cross the road, walk for 150 metres and the hotel will be on your right on No. 8 Though not speaking English, staff are all helpful with service mind. Tour staff gave me very useful information on how to get around by bus and she even ushered me to the bus stop. That's very appreciative. The room is huge and nicely warm as if it is summer. The corridor and room itself is well clean with pleasant ambience. Being located near the main railway station, it is very convenient to get around to any attractions. I love the place and it comforted me well in winter when the weather was cruel outside. I do recommend the place. Thumbs up.

The hotel is located just next to domestic terminal of the airport. Although the location is quite remote, but the hotel provides a shuttle. it is about 5-7 minutes by hotel shuttle. No taxi available to drop off or pick you . There are some small restaurant near hotel and the food was ok with cheap prices. We spent less than 50 yuan for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids of 7 and 9). The staff are kind despite of language barrier. we use translation apps for communication. overall, it was value for money.
