Burgundy hotels & accommodations

Located right next to Dijon train station, the hotel is also within walking distance to the nearest tram station, and city center. Checking in and out were super fast. Room was clean and cozy, however wifi didn't work very well in the room, and water temperature in the bathroom wasn't stable either. The most impressive thing was I forgot my phone when I left Dijon. I a...

Great location right in centre of town and lovely sympathetically restored building. Only shame was no on site parking when the rear courtyard could have been used. Local underground car park is cheap but being Xmas it was full so we had to leave car on street which I was a little uncomfortable about as not familiar with the area but there were no problems. Would defi...

A strange experience! Had all the elements to make a great venue; however, it was not "joined up". Confusion among staff and lack of leadership. Breakfast facilities were a lottery to say least. It's as if the venue was struggling to find its identity.

we booked this hotel because it can offer a 2 bedrooms apartment as there are five of us in our group, and the rate was very reasonable. the hotel is located near the main train station and in front, there is a quiet street with nice cafes and restaurant. the room was ok in size, clean and filled with cooking utensils which is good for preparing breakfast and simple me...

Hotel was a little hard to find but good location in relationship to the old town. Receptionist was good at checking us in. I had two rooms booked which she put next to each other without my asking, which was helpful. We wanted to eat out at a French restaurant and she was able to recommend places to look at and where we might find good food. Rooms were OK size and...

A pleasant hotel in the centre of Beaune. The Hotel is quaint and well laid out. The breakfast buffet is fresh and clean and all meat cuts and cheese's stored behind glass, the coffee though is outright disgusting. But wait I can order a freshly ground espresso at a supplementary cost. Lets just get rid of all these xtra costs I am sick of getting a good price for my...

Very good hotel nicely situated not far from the splendid cathedral of Autun, this hotel hosts a very fine restaurant with a reasonable price and a really good service. The hotel rooms are small and not always convenient (low ceiling). The room I got was on the street and above the smoking area: not ideal. Ask for a quiet room away from such inconveniences.

Lovely hotel, right in the centre of scenic Vezelay. Prices for drinks and food VERY high. Parking not provided €5/day, NB!! Very few facilities in hotel. Vezelay is beautiful, lots of nice little shops, the church is beautiful. VERY VERY quiet at night. Bars empty! Lots of noce walks. Few wine caves very close by, Vezelay wines are excellent!

the hotel was easy to find and we had no trouble collecting the keys as the arrangements were communicated well. the suite was small but enough for one night and accommodated our 3 young children in the spare double bed. the only downside was that north dijon has little to offer other than roadworks.

we had great stay at this hotel. enjoyed everything.. breakfast was very nice and every guests seemed to be interested in the orange juice machine the hotel restuarant is 1 michelin star, it is pricy but great service and delicate cuisine.. only one thing, not only for this hotel, but most of hotels in france, they do not provide you with conditiner which is im...

I walked outside the hotel and everything was there! Markets, shops, clothing stores etc. Staff were so lovely. Breakfast was cheap but a little limited only a few pastries and hot and cold drinks but there's cafes right outside anyway. The room was very nice. My view was of a brick wall and my shower curtain had a few stains on it which made me feel gross but everythi...

Beaune is a small city so I think anywhere you pick, the hotel will be well located. I think people are deciding between a modern and clean hotel versus being in a more historical hotel. We chose the former and was not disappointed. Rooms are decent size- the 2 of us fit all our luggage and 2 built bikes so not bad I say! The room is very clean and comfortable. ...
Cheap places to stay in Burgundy

The only problem for us arriving by train at Macon Loche TGV was finding the exact location of the hotel in the dark, with luggage. The main road nearby is rather dangerous and we were extremely fortunate to be given directions by someone we met in the station, and then to be offered a lift by a passing motorist. But the reception was helpful and the room clean. We ha...

the location was good but omg the hotel was terrible! i was originally in a double room, and it smelled so badly! i then found out that it was because unknown liquid with bubbles kept on reflux out from the sink!!! it was really gross!! the staffs speak very little information, i had to get another guest to help me for her to come to my room and see! she eventually cha...

Great staff. Good location near to autoroute - nearby Intermarche with fuel station. Shower bath needs grab rail for safe entry/exit as floor and bath both slippery when wet. No air-conditioning as advertised, not a problem in May but for a summer stop may be a problem. Safe parking - good wifi.

We booked this hotel on our way from Belgium to the French coast. We arrived late in the evening and the hotel was closed. You should be able to get the key from a machine as there is no doorman/ night staff. No telephone number was left to call so we were a bit out in the dark! The hotel is set up a bit like a prison with very heavy metal doors and a room interiour t...

This hotel is wonderful. It had everything we needed and was absolutely clean, while still possessing the charm of each room being unique and not over done up. The proprietress was very friendly and helpful, the street was quiet at night, and the location could not have been better. In fact, this hotel reminded me of “old” Europe and was reminiscent of the travels o...

As a stop of to break up journey from the Alps to Calais is ideal. the restaurant serves very good food. There is a spa and children area so you can really relax if you have time and the young kids can stretch themselves after being stuck in the car. Cheap petrol stations near hotel so very convenient to tank up before continuing with the trip.

The location is great, literally steps away from the main train station. The hotel is also very close to the town's city centre. The service at reception was awesome. We wanted to know if the markets will be opened on the weekends. Sarah, at reception, actually gave us a call in the room to give us information about the markets! We were very pleased with that. Quite a ...

my partner and i were quite taken away with this hotel. we have never seen or stayed in one like it! it was very unique with medieval architecture and stone lobby. it was like living in a movie with a little trap door as the entrance to the hotel. the rooms were double story with a loft bedroom upstairs and a sitting room downstairs. very cute and comfortable with roof...

Only 3 stars for location, simply because Puligny-Montrachet is such a small village, with the hotel being almost the only thing happening. Thoroughly enjoyable overnight stay, though no doubt a good base for a longer stay (sadly we had no time for vineyard tours etc)

The 4-stars-classification is misleading regarding the guest rooms. My guest room was depressing with a view going on a gigantic Parking lot. The buses waited with running engine underneath my window. The size of the room is so small, there is not even space for luggage. The furnishing is very basic and out of date. The hotel really offers nothing more than a cheap hot...

It was a pleasant surprise that the hotel is a stone's throw from the city center. We could walk to everything! The staff spoke English and were really helpful. The room we stayed in was also lovely, spacious and luxurious. Only gripe is they didn't tell you about the 14 EUR breakfast per person. It wasn't worth it. Scrabbled eggs were dry and there wasn't much variety...

I really enjoyed this stay. We were in many smaller hotel rooms but this place was like a cool flat in the city. Just the right amount of space and lux. The kitchen was great and it was a great way to sample wine during our stay in Burgandy, cause you can't bring it all back with you. Friendly host and they helped us in many ways. NO complaints in taking our heavy...

Beautiful chateau on impressive grounds. Reception was friendly and we were upgraded to a nicer room without even requesting. Room was in the tower on the second floor (with cool spiral stone staircase) and it was recently tastefully remodeled. We decided to have dinner in the chateau and the prix fixe menu was an amazing deal at 45 euros. It was elegant and delici...
