A special, comfy, quiet and well-located home on the island ”
We really enjoyed our stay at The RecArt the house of recycle & art. We loved having an whole apartment (spacious) and not an hotelroom. It felt like a home away from home. It was very well equipped and comfortable. It is located in a quiet area so we slept like babies. Especially with the airconditioned bedroom, big bed and comfortable bedsheets. The location is near the main street of the island with shops and restaurants, it's a 5mins walk to the pier and 10mins to the beach (Hat Sai Kaew). But it's very easy to hire a bike/scooter to get around. The owner is friendly and living closeby. Being a thrift store-lover I loved the decoration of the apartment. The house is furnished with recycled and vintage items, but is clean and cosy. I liked discovering new details and items as there are many. Nothing standard about this place! Only minus point: wifi did work most of the times, but wasn't very good.

Unique place, very comfortable and superb value ”
When I booked this I hadn't appreciated that it is actually a small house to yourself so was very pleasantly surprised to find scat awaited me. It's a short walk from the pier and is located on the main street, just a three minute walk to hat sai Mak beach. The property itself has a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom with a smalloft bed area as well so ideal for a couple or a small family. All the facilities you would need are there and the owner is very friendly and helpful. The thing I liked the most was the homely feel and the quirky decorations that set it apart from your usual run of tie mill hotel room. Also, we stayed for new years eve and the value compared to what ekss being offered on the island was exceptional, our friends staying in a hotel room at three times the price were extremely envious of our find!! I'd definitely recommend this to anyone travelling to the beautiful Koh Samet.!

Really, Really hard to beat...”
So, we thought we were booking a hotel. It turned out to be so much better. It was a condo, owned by very wonderful, helpful and informative people. It is a few steps away from the main street, with anything anyone could want or need, and the beach is about a five minute interesting walk away (be sure to remember your park pass for this island, purchased when you first get here). The unit has a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, loft, living room and deck. It's a very chill environment, beautifully decorated, made all the more interesting by the art works handmade by an owner. Much of the furniture is handmade as well. The owners are immediately available for anything one could need. It is an exceptional value for the money and we highly recommend it. Daniel

Enjoyed every bit of stay”
We traveled with a small puppy, and we enjoyed every bit of our stay! The owner had been very kind to us, since the moment we walked in to the property. He even brought a water bowl and drinking water for our puppy :) The property itself was also very good -- clean, spacious, and well equipped, with a full kitchen (microwave, refrigerator, cutleries, dishes, cups, coffee/tea, etc.) and bathroom amenities. It's a few minutes away from the touristy beach area, so there wasn't any noise around the house at all. All of us slept well like a baby! P.S. There is no proper sign on the street or the property. We struggled a bit to find the place, but the owner helped us find our way when we called him! The best way is to follow the google map and call the owner :)

worth to relax”
The location was fantastic, near to port, street foods, sai kaew beach and convinient stores. Ideal for group or family gate away. You can cook your own food and use all the appliances specially the sound system that you can connect your phone. The owner was very nice and accommodating. The house was amazing interms of their concept and all the vintage appliances are usable. Just sort of advice to put a curtain in bedroom window.

ที่พักให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนนอนอยู่บ้านค่ะ มีห้องนอน ห้องน้ำ ห้องนั่งเล่น ห้องครัว มีอุปกรณ์ครบ ลุงเจ้าของบอกว่าใช้ทุกอย่างในบ้านได้เลยยกเว้นเครื่องซักผ้า 555 มีพื้นที่หน้าบ้านด้วย ภายในสะอาด ดูใหม่ เหมือนลุงชอบสะสมของเก่าแล้วเอามาวาง แลดูน่ารักมาก แต่ไม่มีทีวีกับเครื่องเป่าผมนะคะ ดีที่มีพัดลมวางไว้หลายตัว ของใช้พวกยาสระผมกับสบู่ควรเอาไปเองค่ะ ส่วนตัวชอบมากเล่ยค่ะ เงียบสงบ ประทับใจมากค่ะ และสุดท้ายอยากให้ลุงถ่ายภาพที่พักลงในเพจใหม่ เพราะภาพในเพจไม่ได้ดูดีเท่าของจริงค่ะ จะอัพราคาได้อีกหน่อยเลยทีเดียว มันดีกว่าหลายที่ที่ราคาไกล้เคียงกันที่ไปพักมามากเลย ☺️

금액 대비 내부 시설이 정말 깨끗해요 물이 조금 안 빠지는 경향이 있었지만 그건 섬 다른 숙박업소들도 동일하니 어쩔 수 없는 것 같고 그걸 제외하고는 거실도 있고 주방도 있어서 공간을 넓게 사용할 수 있었고 벌레들도 거의 못 봤어요! 특히 주인 부부가 정말 친절해요 4박을 묵었는데 불편한 건 없는지 항상 신경써주셨고 특히 컵을 깼다고 말씀드리니 컵은 원래 깨지는 거라며 걱정하지 말라고 하시더라구요. 좋은 해변들도 추천해주시고 정말 친절하셨어요 번화가쪽이지만 살짝 윗골목에 위치해있어서 소음도 없었고 집 앞도 깨끗했어요. 비치까지는 도보로 10분 항구는 5분 정도 걸렸던 것 같고 주변 맛집들과도 도보로 다니기 정말 편했어요. 추천합니다

Thank you for your review. Regarding the comments about the mattress in the bedroom. This is a high quality mattress which was rain damaged following a flood we had on the Island during the rainy season. The stains on the mattress are therefore only water stains and nothing else and it is a perfectly good mattress with a mattress protector on it. We have never received any complaints before about the mattress, the apartment, or the service we offer to our guests. If you had asked us about the mattress we could have explained this to you as we would never allow any of our guests to sleep on a dirty mattress. Yours sincerely Rec Art House
