The location is great as you can enjoy both Railey Beach and another beach. The hotel is quite large, so golf carts are used for transportation. The staff are very friendly and they provide free kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. If you get bored staying here, there are some courses you can choose from, such as Muay Thai or Thai cooking classes. It's a great choice for a relaxing vacation.
Best experience we’ve had”
First time writing a review for staying at a resort and that shows how much I can recommend this place. First of all this resort is definitely on the pricier side but it is definitely worth every dollar. I’ve hesitated slightly prior to booking, but once you’ve stayed here and experienced it entirely, you will see why it is and how every dollar is spent. The resort itself is a beautiful isolated area strictly for guests surrounded by very meticulously designed villas, garden and jungle like walkways. (Almost felt like Disneyland). We were especially impressed by how the staff would routinely make sure mosquitos and bugs are controlled. Surprisingly, No mosquito bites for me or my partner who often get bitten. The entire facility is rather on the older side but the key areas such as bathroom, showers, sinks, tv, sofa etc were pristine condition and on the newer side. The staff’s attitude and service was top notch 10/10, and they all understand English very well. The staff would come to clean the rooms 2-3 times a day for fresh towels, fresh amenities, daily complimentary fresh fruits, at night would be desserts, adjust the curtains etc. amazing. The paid activities such as island hopping are on the pricier side but it is fairly justified from the service and equipment they provide. We did a shared half day trip (6people), high speed comfortable boat, the knowledgeable guide would navigate multiple areas to find the perfect snorkeling spots (the tides, weather condition). Equipment was not needed as they provided snorkels and beach mats. Snorkels and fins were clean. They also provided some snacks such as fruits on the beach. The guide was very helpful and caring about the guests in every way watching for the guests safety. Food variety was amazing, 4 restaurants which we tried all. Variety of cuisines from western to Asian. However, one point I would maybe point out would be the villa’s water (shower, sink) is a little salty. It is in a way on an island and is understandable, but just a heads up to those staying.

Absolutely incredible stay at rayavadee- 10/10 would recommend in terms of accommodations, staff, location and overall experience. Staff are genuinely attentive, warm and welcoming. Every area of the hotel is beautifully kept and clean, and the architecture of all the villas, lobby, restaurants are phenomenal. Railey beach and pharang beach are both directly accessible by foot and make for a pleasant walk. Both beaches have relaxed vibes, with beautiful views and quality water (pools and sea). Lovely restaurants with great food. ‘Walking street’ is close by with tons of shops, bars and restaurants if you want to venture out of the hotel in the evening. We stayed in a standard villa and it felt luxurious, clean, with tons of natural light. For those of you who have seen lord of the rings, it feels like you’re in The Shire, jungle version. It was peaceful and quiet at night. The hotel grounds and paths are wonderful to walk through- 2 With tasteful little lights at night, are well kept, but still wild. You can hear the chirping of birds and insects and can also spot monkeys. We honestly cannot say enough great things about rayavadee- as of today it may be the best hotel we have every stayed at. 🙏🎉🏝️

We ended a 35 day tour of Southeast Asia at this magnificent property. We had read the reviews and were looking for an immersion in nature but at a five star level. Rayavadee delivered on all fronts. The physical magnificence of nature that surrounds each villa, the layout of the property, the variety of beaches and scenery and the quality of the food and service render this property the winner that it is. Every award and every good review one reads is well earned by one of the nicest group of people we’ve ever stayed with. Everything is first class from airport pick up to the luxury launch, to the amenities luxury and comfort of the individual villas. The breakfasts are legendary and the range and variety of activities extraordinary. Included kayaking, SUP, sailing, squash, fitness center, tennis, yoga and many others. Merely walking the grounds is a treat with all matter of reptiles, birds, monkeys and others scampering around. Did I mention the most magnificent swimming pool in all of Asia overlooking the ocean. The Grotto & Terrace restaurants overlooking the ocean! Magic. We would go back in a heartbeat and recommend most thoroughly
Location, location, location”
We ended our Thailand trip with a splurge at Rayavadee. Their location is undeniably beautiful, and the accommodations are lovely as well. The breakfast was delicious with many choices, and everyone working there was incredibly nice and welcoming. However, there were some negatives to our stay, and areas that I felt, could be improved. I realize that this is a luxury resort, as the prices reflect, but being charged $7.00 for a bottle of water at their restaurants was excessive (especially since there was "free"water bottles in your room). Fortunately there were alternatives to dining with a short walk down the beach. Also, do not book a transfer to the airport outside of their scheduled hours, or you will be charged an exhorbitant price for a private transfer. (All arrivals and departures are made by boat). Prices in general were more in line with U.S. prices than Thailand. With a stay here, there is access to 3 beaches, with Phra Nang being the prettiest. Rayavadee has private chairs on this beach, but hordes of people (many Instagrammers..ugh) still arrive and in my opinion, ruined the experience. Also lots and lots of people at Railey Beach. Rayavadee does a great job of keeping the public out of the resort, but the beaches are public. On the bright side, the pool there is gorgeous and is exclusive to the resort. The only problem I had with the pool area, is that it closed at 7p.m., which I considered too early. Swimming in the evening there would have been magical. This brings me to another issue I had, and that is that there is really nothing to do there in the evening except have dinner and return to your room. I felt a little evening entertainment like some music would be appreciated. This is a beach destination, and everything involves the water. If that is your thing, Rayavadee is your place.
