“Frustrating check-in procedure”
Guests need to understand that there is nobody sitting at the office to assist with checking in. Upon arrival at the very large property there was limited information readily available about how to check-in. A small laminated note was eventually found sticky taped to a door. Eventually after some time I managed to contact the property manager by WhatsApp and had to send photos of my passport. After another wait third party person appeared who demanded the 100 ringitt deposit plus a 20 ringitt deposit for foreigners tax which I already had paid and had a receipt to show for it. A Mexican standoff then insued whereby we would not be given the key until another 29 ringitt tax was paid. Meanwhile my extended family including elderly were made to sit in the floor witnessing an argument with the manager via a third party. After my partner became emotional & threatened calling the police the key was provided however the third party disappeared and we were left to find a way to our room with elderly family and baggage. Upon arrival at the room we found it clean however there was many lights not working (fixed next day), no internet and no further written information about the building in the room. Fortunately the retrieval of the security deposit 2 days later was uneventful however we had to wait for the cleaners to thoroughly check the room while we waited. I recommend all future travellers avoid staying here at all costs.
