"Great place to stay and relax at Pak Phayun. Although no breakfast provided, the owner is kind enough to offer us hot beverages to start your day. Good views and good security here for your bike or car. There's a 7-11 and Tesco Lotus Express at the town of Pak Phayun which is also beside a morning and evening market. Basically this place is a Muslim town so no alcohol or pork is on sale. "

"We stayed 2 nights here, booked the "cottage" with aircon according to Agoda web and when arrived the owner wanted to locate us in the fan cheap room. we complained and he changed us to a basic aircon room and next night to the aircon cottage which was much better. The place is completely isolated, if you don't have own transport there is no other option to eat or drink in the area apart from the resort where they charge very high prices for food, for example 130THB for a stir fried vegetable dish! Also be aware that if they pick you up at Pak Phayun (the nearest place with public transport) they will charge you 200THB for each ride, they never advised this in advance and charged it at the end. Apart from this inconvenience, the views of the lake are amazing and the place is super quiet, beautiful and peaceful."
