One of the best resort in Koh Samet”
The resort was a good choice to visit in Koh Samet especially friendly service, cleaness, nice view, privacy, comfortable, security, and etc. I strongly recommended here for recharge your energy. I deducted 0.5 point for the red bed sheets and towels (I prefer a white color) and 0.5 point for the cost of transportation from the resort to the pier (500 THB.)

Quiet Bliss”
Right at the bottom of the island last drop off on the boat. A little unsophisticated but oh so lovely. We had a delux beach front chalet band other than NO coffee or tea making facilities it was delightful. This is a real ‘get away from it all’ destination. The food was pretty good in the restaurant and reasonably priced. You can get taxis up to the main town - where you realise life is just too hectic and it’s time to go back!

Nice location, but only if you rent motorbike ”
The location is beautiful, but it is opposite side of the island, from the pier. Good for people with motorbike

Nice resort at the edge of Koh Samet”
Very friendly environment, Nice bungalows directly at the beach. Staff very friendly and went above and beyond during an accident, which happened to us. Restaurant food was good, but sometimes a bit slow. Excellent view but far from any 7-11 or other restaurants and bars. If you like a nice and quiet place, then this is the right place for you on Koh Samet

19 August one night stay”
Pretty location with nice individual bungalowS with good air con. But the resort looks very tired overall and the facilities are very limited. The staff were lovely but very inexperienced and not proactive. The food was disappointing compared to some excellent meals we had already had at other locations. We would be unlikely to return unless the resort was substantially refurbished

Just OK.”
Booked a family room with a beautiful view. Overall gets an OK and not more. No Internet as our room was too far from the nearest WiFi point t which was disappointing Other resorts on the island were better.

Quiet yet awesome Resort”
Booked 3 Deluxe Seafront Cottages for 3 families (7 of us) at Nimmanoradee Resort, Ao Pakarang Samet Island which is located in the Southern tip of the island. It is quite far from the Samet Island jetty in the northern part of the island, about 35-40 minutes ride by Song-thaew( local pickup bus) to Ao Pakarang at the Southern tip. It cost 70 baht per pax or 600 Baht to charter the whole Song-thaew, which is able to accommodate up to 10 pax. On arriving at the Jetty, one has to pay Jetty fee of 20 baht per pax, and on entering the island an additional payment of 40 Baht per person for National forest conservation fee. You also have the option to take the hotel ferry which takes you from Ban-Phe ferry terminal in Rayong right to the Nimmanoradee Resort costing 120 Baht per pax. thereby saving time and saving jetty fee. The Octagon shape Deluxe Cottage are spacious, modern and beds and furnishings are comfortable. Surrounding are well landscape with plenty of trees, plants and flowers. Lots of birds around and salamander and small animals can be seen around the cottages. Swings and easy chairs are provided for guest use near the beach. For a small fee, the Resort provides Canoing and snorkeling activities. Buffet Breakfast is included. It is good for families and couples who wants to relax away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Located away from Sai Kaew Beaches where the main sea sports activities, bars and seafood restaurants are located. The only setback is the Resort beaches are not ideal for swimming. Lots of rocks, mud and broken corals at the beach.

A tiny and cozy resort in a peaceful location”
My family spent 4 days at Nimmanoradee in a February long week-end. Living in Bangkok, we wanted to enjoy some days at the beach and looking for an island not too far. Koh Samet was the obvious choice being Ban Phe only 2 and 1/2 hours away. We do not love place too animate or luxury resorts, also rbecause we have a less than 3 years old daughter. We found Nimmanoradee on Agoda and falled in love already on the site. The resort is placed at the very end of the island, with tiny and colourful bungalows within the small beach and the forest. We had a garden view bungalows. No lux, but everything you need (good bed, a little hard but we are used living in Thailand, a small tele with dvd that we never turned actually, a frigo, air conditioning, a spacious bath room with warm water and hair dryer) and around 20 meters from the beach. There are hammocks and swings everywhere (Valentina loved them so much), the location is clean and even if all bungalows were full, we never had the impression that there were much people. The beach is small but very clean, unusual in Thailand, water is clear and, even more important, no scooter, boats and similar in the sea. A peace of paradise where you can lie down during the day swinging with your hammock listening the sound of the waves. Amazing! Restaurant was also very good and fair on prices. From Nimmanoradee it takes long to go anywhere. You must come by boat, better private speed boat. Nonetheless, price are correct ( a bottle of Chang beer 55 bath),the food is Thai and well prepared. Fried shrimps and fried bananas excellent. The service is not super but correct, actually very Thai :) and when you are eating with the sound of the waves as music at sunset, is not the service your priority. We will definetely be back to Nimmanoradee in the future. It is now our resort in Samet!

Friendly staffs & great hideaway from city ”
We booked our speedboat at 12noon (confirmed by hotel but end up wait until 2pm). Recommended to take white shark speed boat (join speed boat cost 400 BTH per person), it takes about 30 min to reach Nimmanoradee Resort. We enjoyed ourself very much & food is great especially Thai food, we loved their steam crab (0.5kg at 300 BTH). Pros 1)great location with clear sea water 2)quiet & peaceful 3)delicious local Thai food 4)staffs are friendly 5)Hammocks under trees 6)Not crowded 7)Beach very near to rooms Cons 1)A bottle of water cost me 50 BTH 2)Food is abit expensive 3)Not many entertainment (not recommended if your looking excitement) 4)Bar closed at 11pm & restaurant closed at 9:30pm 5)Limited choices of breakfast (almost same every morning) 6)Many rocks along the beach (kinda painful when going down to beach) Overall, resort is great & we still can find a better resort with the amount $$ we paid. Visit again? (Definitely will but different resort in Koh Samed)

Beautiful hideaway on Koh Samet”
The best feature of this hotel is also (potentially at least) its biggest drawback. The resort is situated on the very southern tip of Koh Samet island and is about 40 minutes drive from the main resort town of Ha Sai Kaew. It's very beautiful and has arguably the best beach on the island. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, then I don't think you could find better. However, if you're looking for nightlife and restaurants, then you have to travel. Both myself and my wife enjoyed our stay, and would certainly go back if we were looking to unwind for a few days, but I don't think we'd stay again as long as we did. Given that the place is so isolated, I think the hotel could do a bit more with the restaurant. The food is ok, and some of the dishes ae very good, but it's not one of the stand out features and has attracted some very negative comments from some of the other reviewers. One last point is the price of taxi's on the island, the fare from the Nimanoradee to Ha Sai Kaew is 600THB, which is expensive for Thailand. So although I'd recommend the hotel, make sure you know what you're getting before you book to avoid being disappointed.

Good service ”
If u want to take a rest from ur messy life ... I recommend here!! Nimmanoradee resort. This place has a peaceful atmosphere ... mayb it far from the other island. This resort has a good service-everybody is very polite; very impressive The food are okayy especially papaya salad is so cool lol A room is clean ... Like the 8 square house ... On the other hand, the transportation has't have too much choices- u can reach this resort by boat(take a lot of time around 1.20 hr) or speed boat (mayb 30-40 mins i guess) By the way, I will come back to this resort again PS: this resort is suit for persons who want to take a rest .... U "will not " disappointed ... If u come here

Lovely Peaceful Hotel”
Our stay at Nimmanoradee Resort was lovely, we enjoyed the area although it was a little out of the way - that was actually what we liked about it because it was peaceful and relaxing and it was fun to rent an ATV to go to and from the hotel everyday to the busier part of the Island. The beach at the hotel was nice and the hotel has facilities for kayaking and snorkelling. The rooms were nice too, they were clean and good sized rooms. We both also really liked the food at the hotel restaurant and we found the staff to be nice and friendly too. My wife and I are very much looking forward to going back there again next year and would recommend the hotel to others too.

Excellent”
Our family group had a nice and relaxing 2 days at Nimmanoradee Resort. The staff were excellent and very attentive with the needs of our party. The food although slightly expensive for some items, was nice and tasty and there were options available for cheaper food if required. 4 members of our party had a massage whilst we stayed at the resort and all of us enjoyed the experience. I would recommend this resort to someone who wishes to escape for a quiet few days.

Fantastic gettaway on Koh Samet”
If you like party and crowds this is not the place you like to be. But if you want to spend some relaxing peaceful days at the beach this is one of the best choices on Koh Samet. Food is great: plenty of choices on the menu and all taste very good. The resort is the only one at the small beach. There's quite ok snorkeling in the bay and staff is very friendly and helpful. very good Thai massage is available at reasonable price.

relax and enjoy”
Nimmarodee hotel is a beautiful and relaxing hotel located on the southern tip of Koh Samet. If you are looking for a quite and restful get away on a beautiful tropical island, then I recommend nimmarodee hotel. The location is ideal for hiking around the tip of the island as well as for kayaking and shell hunting. Though the beach is a little rocky, the atmosphere is serene. Softer beaches are within walking distance, so I feel nimmarodee is a good enviroment for lounging in sun chairs, hiking, and swimming. If you stay be sure to clarify directions in how to get to the hotel before leaving bangkok. Staff are friendly and adequately display Thai hospitality. The beach cottages are comforatble with a beautiful frontal view of the beach. I would definelty go here again.

A perfect location, but needs huge improvement”
The Nimmanoradee Resort is like expensive camping. It has great natural beauty and…lots of mosquitoes. Don’t trust the nice resort photos though. There is no electricity back up if the power goes down (when it rains), so bring your torch. The rooms have no telephone, no wifi, no international TV…not even closets to store your clothes nor the most important: a mosquito net to defend yourself at night. It is at the far southern tip of Koh Samet. So if you want to go to other beaches or eat at a different restaurant, you need to rent a scooter, which is twice the usual rate, and brave the extremely difficult roads in the south of the island, which are frankly almost not passable in some sections. And then there’s the service. No buffet for breakfast: you choose between an American pork heavy breakfast and Asian, but the Asian is only ever gloppy salty rice porridge, disgusting even for some Asians…not the usual fried rice etc. There is a lot to be said for the gorgeous location, private beaches, and nearby sunset walk, but the basics…room, food, service…they aren’t really there. Like I said. Nimmanoradee Resort? It is like a camping excursion.

Hotel, Koh Samet”
I really enjoyed the stay at Nim Ma No Ra Dee hotel. The hotel is situated in the south of Koh Samet and is a very quiet and peaceful place to spend your holiday. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small, but contained a double bed, TV, fridge, safety box. I can imagine that some might think that the local wildlife (snakes, lizards and spiders) might be a problem but it never bothered me. There was not much to do on the island, but the hotel helped to make reservations for snorkeling tours, diving courses etc.
