Amazing stay”
A fabulous resort with quality staff, great facilities and a brilliant location on the beach with the choice of 3 different pools and a sensational sunset terrace. I will definitely be staying here again on next trip to Khao Lak.

Good resort next to the beach”
Big resort with plenty of rooms right next to the beach. Not many tourists staying here nowadays because of the pandemic so you almost feel like you have the enormous resort just for yourself. Rooms are spacious and staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great experience”
Had a weekend break to Mudara and thoroughly enjoyed it.....The room was clean and set up as requested with an extra bed. Highly recommended as the location is perfect. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the surrounding small soi's outside the hotel but to be honest the food and drink is very fairly priced at the hotel. Only marked down the value for money by 1 star as the extra bed was an expensive addition to the room charge..

Lovely resort that was better than expected ”
We visited this hotel as a family of three (a couple with a 1 year old child) for 1 week in December 2021 / January 2022. This hotel is set in a beautiful landscape in a great location on the beach and close to many restaurants. The garden villas are absolutely lovely, surrounded by green and the peaceful sound of birds/nature (it was especially great to have the little balconies to spend time on while our baby napped). In addition to being spacious enough for a small family, the villas also have a massive bathtub and luxurious outdoor shower that we loved. The breakfast is pretty good, with the basics and enough diversity to give you a good start to the day. There is a massage cabana near the ocean with great massages available throughout the day (at a reasonable price). The staff are also very kind, helpful and friendly. Cons: very hard pillows, no baby high chair in the restaurant (only ones made for toddlers), half the machines are broken in the fitness room, the pool by the ocean is quite dirty, and the coffee place and pool bar are closed (I assume due to covid meaning less guests/income).

Excellent”
One of the decent hotels at Khao Lak: In general, the hotel staff had good service mind, and the room was well-designed and confortable. However, lighting system should be improved in some areas (it was quite dark at night). In addition, the morning buffet was quite plain, in my opinion.

Excellent”
Fabulous location and facilities. Beautiful gardens. Our only complaints are the musty smell in the room, but given the amount of rain in South Thailand it is understandable and the subpar breakfast.

Very good”
The hotel staff are friendly, the first room they gave us was unacceptable because of a musty odor and the water only got warm in the shower, Tub, and bathroom sink. If you stay in the main hotel you’re about a 200 m walk to the beach, and if it’s high tide there is no bitch. The main pool water was very warm and comfortable. It’s an OK hotel

Not recommended”
Entrance and lobby of the hotel looks great but the furniture in the rooms looks old. Water faucet could not be turned off after use, waited for the technician to change a new faucet. Requested for a 3-pin extension plug which never came. Selection for breakfast was very limited, almost the same breakfast for the 2 mornings. I will definitely not stay here again.

Our stay at Mukdara”
We got a very bad start when they wanted to change us extra for the kids beds and breakfast. Even though we booked with our kids. The restaurant staff were nice but looked like they didn’t really enjoyed being there. Very good breakfast.

Due to COVI19 times, seems like less stuff and less service”
We booked this place because of budget. However, They have pretty garden and front beach and nice. Just little tired to wait to check in and they took 1-2 days to fix the room telephone. The restaurant food are all reasonable and drink as well.

Relaxation”
This was our second visit to Thailand, last year we stayed at a 5 star resort and was quite isolated. We much preferred staying at the Mukdara as it was very conveniently located. On the one side you have Bang Niang beach.where we took a morning stroll after breakfast. In the evening you can also watch the sun setting whilst enjoying cocktails or a beer, happy hour helps knowing you can buy one get one free. you are only a short stroll outside the front of the resort to a good selection of bars and restaurants, and shops where you can get everything you need. There is a local night market where you get clothes shoes and the usual tourist items, and then there is the food. Wow market food was incredible very cheap and real quality I recommend you visit if only to try the food. The grounds at the Mukdara are impeccable and the ground staff do a excellent job they are always busy pruning and tidying etc. I would say the staff overall are brilliant very helpful and cheerful. I would recommend using the hotel transport to and from the airport it is a very enjoyable and relaxing experience and compared to airport prices much cheaper, I would also say safer. We stayed in a deluxe villa which we booked ourselves through agoda and was a very easy process. That said I couldn't get the airport transfer going there despite requesting a form from them which I didn't receive but other than that I booked through agoda as they were £100 cheaper than anyone else. Our villa was brilliant and the outside shower was an experience not to be missed. We came here for the chance to relax and unwind which you will do with no problem I would definitely recommend staying here and using agoda as the booking agent.

Pleasant surprise and lovely hotel”
i wasn't sure what to expect i'd never been to khao lak before and i wasn't even sure if the hotels were actually what they seemed in the websites but mukdara certainly lived up to the hype. i loved the royal wing villa that i stayed in- nothing bad to say about it at all and the staff were always ready to assist me in anything that i needed. sure, sometimes they didn't understand what was beng said, but that can happen anywhere( just speak slower and use words tgar are easily understood;layman's language ). the grounds of the hotel is breathtakingly and painstakingly well landscaped with beautiful ponds, statues, water features and even a waterfall by one of the villas. take the trouble to walk ard and admire them. the beach pool was popular and rightly so. stunning view of the ocean from there and the restaurants were just beside it. rest assured, kids will definitely love this hotel! the only thing that may bother some people is the fact that the wifi is only available at the lobby and you have to ask them for a 1-hour password. so after your hour is up, you will have to ask them for a new pswd again. also, there are tons of mosquitos lurking at the lobby, especially in the evenings. there is a restaurant just beside the hotel that is worth a mention- called mojo. it was newly opened when i went, but already very popular with the guests around the area. joy, the manager provides excellent service and is sincere in taking care of customers.

A nice hotel for real relaxation”
I stayed at Mukdara for one week, and during my stay there it was great. Although I came as a solo traveler, the staff made sure that I felt at home as they always smiled, and asked if things were all right. The location of the hotel is good. You can find restaurants and small shops close to the hotel. The restaurant at the hotel was also fine and the price was reasonable. I booked the deluxe royal wing. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very big including all the amenities that I needed. The breakfast was great although the choices were a bit limited. The beach was long, soft and fine. I could take long walks and enjoyed the beauty of the Andaman sea. I would recommend Khao Lak for those who really like to enjoy sun, sand and sea. It's really not a place for nightlife. Sometimes you can get a bit bored if you come alone because there are not many things to do except lying on the beach and swimming. Maybe it's better to come with a friend/friends, or as couple.

Beyond my expectations”
From the moment we arrived we received excellent service at the Mukdara. Sue on reception was excellent. The room was excellent, we paid for the deluxe option which was well worth the money, although we saw the standard room which was also nice. The breakfast and food was great and as we were in low season we had no problem lounging by the pools wherever we wanted. We used the spa facilites and these were also excellent and very relaxing. We saw the other hotels down the beach and we were happy we chose the Mukdara, I would happily return.
