Great Facility, Top Notch Services”

I was looking for a place to take my mum and my kids for a short staycation. Honestly, it was a between the Vortex and the Summer Suites. Somehow my bookings at the Vortex got cancelled due to some technical problem with the payment issue. It was indeed a blessing in disguise. I managed to get a booking at one of the Penguin units at Summer Suites and the rest was history. Raphael who attended to my booking ensured that we got one of the better 2 bedded units on the higher floors. The unit was very homely and very clean. My 80 year old mum loved the pillows so much that she fell asleep right after we checked in! The only set back about the unit was the limited tv channels. There is a cafe at the lobby that serves fusion Korean food (a tad expensive though), mynews and also a cafe kiosk that sells coffee and pastries. The kids enjoyed the pool so much, although it was icy cold. So if you are looking for a short getaway, do check out Penguin Homes @ Summer Suites, look 4 Raphael!

Exceptional”

My family enjoyed our stay in Mercu Summer Suite KLCC while in Malaysia. The place is clean, spacious and very near to places we visited like the Petronas Tower，KL Tower and Suria Mall. Aside from this, Rafael, one of the staff, has been so accommodating. My family would definitely stay in Mercu Summer Suite when we visit Malaysia again in the future. Mercu Summer Suite is worth the price we paid for.

This was the nicest apartment I have ever stayed in on a vacation. All amenities you need are right there....microwave, stove, pots pans, plates, washing mashing AND dryer (2 dry cycles completely dries the clothes!), close to everything..can walk to Petronas Towers, lovely location, very nice area. Pool is stunning...glass completely around. Fling with Summer Suites Penguin Homes was amazing and we could not have asked for better service. I was traveling alone with my 2 year old son and she was so helpful. I WILL be staying here again very soon.

Value for Money”

Been a few times staying at Mercu Summer Suites but in different units. This one in particular is actually a nice unit with basic amenities given. The host was really friendly and gave us all the correct infos. A plus point is for travellers with vehicle, this unit comes with the parking season pass which makes it soo very convenient. Always we had units that didn't provide any, which means another RM15 parking fee per nite. Anyway, could do a better setup by providing quality pillows and probably add in an iptv. Apart from that, it was a cozy place to stay.

Need improvement”

This is NOT a hotel but a PRIVATE owned property unit (penguin home? Marshmallow?) When i make reservation it's Marshmallow. When i make payment it states Penguin Home. NO RECEPTION or counter for you to check in. Look at your VOUCHER for the CONTACT number. Best is to call them ONE DAY in advance before you check in. SOMEONE will meet you at the lobby. It causes us time wasted and panicky as NO ONE working in that building is able to assist us. We didn't know that it's PRIVATE owned like airbnb style. NOTHING in the booking details states that we are to CALL the number stated on the VOUCHER for CHECK IN. Each of us have our own access card to enter the unit. Which means you will have issues having to have extra guests coming into your unit. Parking are to be bourne by you. That is also not stated in the booking details. But Wen (the lady who works for this property) gave us a season parking card. Thank you. She also reimburse the parking charge of rm10 upon us entering the carpark before we checked in. Carpark accessible from level 1. Not linked to the rooms lift. Need to change lift. She will send a cleaner to your room but you need to be in the room. We did not ask for the cleaner to come to our room. We throw our rubbish ourselves. We bought garbage bags cause the one they provide is not enough. There's tiny ants. Be sure not to leave your food especially next to the fridge. There's small cockroaches as well roaming at night. Be sure not to leave food open. We found broom but without dust pan. Pillow too too too soft. Bed in 1 room a bit dusty. Overall clean. Good aircon. Nice ambience and lighting. Comfortable stay.

Affordable price and Accessible to all point of interest in KL”

Clean room with very friendly staff. My daughter and son enjoy the ambience and amenities of the place. It is recommended for family and Friends who wants to staycation in KL as it also near to the place of interest in Malaysia. Will surely going back and stay again to Mercu Summer Suite

Great Example of Good Hotel and Good Staff”

Excellent hotel of this class...newer property and kept extremely clean. One of the best residence in a Kuala Lumpur I have experienced.The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Close enough to Jalan Sultan Ismail business district and KLCC by 10 minutes walking distance.There was a lot of parking to choose and their security was great.

Not exactly review for Mercu but for Vortex”

I arrived late on my check in day and to my horror, was informed that my room had been sold off as Agoda did not notify the operator of my arrival on the day (Agoda, you guys should look into this!). Anyhow, the owners have other units in another development nearby being at Vortex (very near Concorde KL) and was brought there. Was given a nice condo unit on the 16th floor overlooking Saloma bistro which has 2 bedrooms and 2 toilets, a functioning kitchen and decent living room and eating area. Place was clean and tidy and a perfect place for me to leave my family whilst I went out for meetings. Pool area is great and by daughter loved it. Only gripe (minor actually) is that as THIS IS NOT A HOTEL so towels are not changed and place is not cleaned daily. No towels provided at the pool either. So, unit can do with some place to hang towels, a broom to sweep the floor (as a 3 year old can make a mess at meal times) and more pillows. Nevertheless, for the price and its great location (reasonable walking distance to KLCC, LRT and monorail), I will come here again with my family. In addition, there are stalls on the small road behind the condo so local breakfast is easy to find (just that the condo's rear access is not opened all the time so may have to take a longer route)

Arrived at Mercu Summer 3.30PM and need to call host to pickup the key cards. Eventho check in for 2pax but just received 1 card only. Friendly staff, no towel in room during check in. But at night i make a call, they directly sent to my room. Location quite strategic. Near to Monorel Bukit Nanas.

Value for money and big clean room”

Pros: 1. Near monorail and walk distance to klcc. 2. All facilities complete (iron,hair dryer,cooking and dining facilities,microwave,washer &dryer) 3.Big and clean room. Cons: 1. Only provide 1 access card it really not convenient when we entry/exit. 2. Tv just local channel and low signal. 3. Need to pay for parking 4. No housekeeping because it not hotel. 5. Pillow quality no good and no bath tube. But i still love to stay here and will recomend to my friend.

Nice Stay”

Overall stay is nice. Check in is after 3 pm. Managed to get into room around 1/2 - 1 hour later as housekeeping just finish cleaning up. Been told there's many check out and limited housekeeper. Bear in mind for parking. No parking card unless u asked the supervisor for renting the parking card. RM 25 per day. Penguin home need to provide another room card as only 1 card provided for the room. Main door for house can be access with manual key, not access card. Basic necessity provided such as towels, shampoo, body wash & cutlery. Oh, they also have smart tv and wifi.

Fantastic location, near KLCC, near public transport which is Monorail (can change different public transport to go other shopping malls, Pavilions, Midvalley and One Utama. The room is clean and comfy, the facilities of the apartment are great. The pool area which is so amazing. Staffs are friendly too. Highly recommend.

No free parking and cleaning fee too pricey ”

Everything was okay inc the staff, the facilities etc. It is just that we need to pay for cleaning fee for rm50 which I'm a bit surprise because I thing its a bit pricey. Plus , we NEED to throw the rubbish into the chamfer room by ourselves ! They already charged us cleaning fee but also ask us to throw the rubbish by ourselves. This is my first and last booking at penguin homes. Tq

Nice Location downstair got convenient forshop ,near to Pavillion, LRT station, KLCC and with a Valuable price. But we need to pay the Parking Ticket ourself .

The rate was very competitive for full furnished apartment unit at KLCC area, I willing to give 5 star ratings but unfortunately the unit we rent have no wifi. But in overall it was very good and recommended location.

The place is just among the many units in the KLCC booking. Poor reception by room managers. No one will welcome you when you arrive at the building.

Pros: I managed to check in early as requested in my booking The host is nice and talkative The room decoration is simple and nice looking Lift card access is needed for each person to use the elevator, including kids Cons: Cleanliness need to improve coz i found cockroach near the bin after 1 hour i dispose the garbage there. The leaking in the bathroom ceiling cause bad smell to the entire room especially the bathroom itself They provide sweet aroma candle on the table but they did not provide the lighter so i guess i have to light it on using the electrical stove Overall, my husband and i accept the place as what it is.

you must stay your vacation here. very satisfied. The staff is also very helpful and kind. My shirt was left on the lodge and I asked for the staff help to keep my shirt. very happy to deal with them. The room was very clean and comfortable. Love so much 😍 will repeat to stay here again.
