Set in charming Patagonian old houses overlooking Argentino Lake and the Andes Mountains, Hostel I Keu Ken offers rooms with free Wi-Fi, and breakfast only 5 minutes from Downtown Calafate. Common kitchen and BBQ facilities are available. Decorated in lively colours, heated rooms at I Keu Ken Hostel have nice lake views. All of them feature kitchen facilities. A Patagonian breakfast is served daily and there's tea service free all day. BBQ facilities are available in the garden. Guests can unwind in the lounge, which features a fireplace, TV and a library. They can also relax in the garden. Excursions can be booked at the tour desk, and a games room is also available. The property has laudry service available. The 24-hour front desk can secure shuttles to El Calafate Airport, which is 22 km away. Hostel I Keu Ken is 2 km from the Bus Terminal.

Je suis resté 3 nuits dans cette auberge de jeunesse, l'accueil y est vraiment chaleureux et l'équipe très sympathique et prêt à nous aider dans nos différents projets. Je le recommande vraiment si vous voulez profiter pleinement de cette belle région.

“Staff are wonderful. spotless”
Firstly, Marcel, the cheerful owner who runs this place with his numerous brothers, is fantastic! His brothers too, are just as hospitable (but Marcel's English is flawless). This is one of my favourite hostels ever. The common area is a great way to meet people, it is not a loud party place. The kitchen can get very cramped however, as there is only one stove. The breakfast is nothing to write home about as is typical of South American hostels - a lot of sugary cereal and white bread. Beds are fantastic and sturdy although there is no ladder for the top bunk, which can be problematic for short people! The place is clean, spotless, on every level. The toilets are a bit cramped and the showers facing each other are a bit strange - I think I got lucky no one wanted to shower the same time as me! The place is also up a hill from town, so be prepared if you have heavy bags. It is right next door to a huge supermarket though, which is very handy and you should totally stock up at this place as food variety is really hard to find in the Patagonia region.
