nice resort”

I really enjoy the time in Khao Lak Sunset Resort. The room is large and clean. There is seaview and balcony even I stay in Superior Room. It is at beach front with lots of beach chair. All the staff are very nice. Breakfast is so so, dinner is delicious and not too expensive. It takes around 30mins to walk to the town or takes 3mins by "taxi" for 100 THB. There is only 1 computer at the reception to use.

Very good location, good quality for money”

We stayed at this hotel before and after a liveaboard to the Similan islands. We were going to stay at a more expensive hotel when we returned from the dive trip, but we were so satisfied with this one, that we made a new reservation there. This is the last hotel on this beach, there is a steep hill up to the main road and the jungle. The rooms we got had partial/full sea view. Big beds, good airconditioning, helpful staff, good breakfast buffet (better than in several more expensive hotels I've stayed in), close to perfect sleep quality. The only drawback I can think of is that there was a slight reek of sewer in the room we got during our second stay. You didn't notice it while staying in the room, only when you entred it from the outside. We will probably stay here again if we go back to Khao Lak.

Wonderfull resort right on a beutyful beach”

We had reserved the room for 8 nights, but it was so nice that we stayed for 3 more.It is some kilometer to the center of Khao Lak, but a taxi cost only 100 bath. The beach is wondeful and quiet and you can walk all the way to the center. Resorts and restaurants all the way, but no noice.

Average Hotel, Great Location”

The hotel itself is nothing spectacular but does offer everything that is needed. The pool is nice and clean when we stayed. The location on the beach is great. We went on the low season and we literally had the beach to ourselves. We only stayed at the resort for one night out of our 1 month tour of Thailand and I can honestly say that night we witnessed one of the most amazing sunsets seen on the trip. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great price for what you get.

Very Pleasant, Relaxing Stay”

We had a lovely stay here. The hotel is located at the end of the beach so it is nice and private without much passing "people traffic". Plenty of sunbeds provided on the beach and by the pool. Pool (like most in Khao Lak) was a little one. Teriffic bed - at least 7 feet wide. Great view of sea from room and balcony. A lovely quiet oasis. Maybe a bit far from town (1km) but that can be an advantage too - no noisy bars or nightspots. Most guests were northern Europeans and were queit couples or family groups. Very good buffet breakfast and good other meals that were available all day. Last orders 1030pm.

Nice view, friendly staff”

good hotel, although our first room had a weird smell. we got moved to another room that did not have this problem. pool somewhat small. not a lot of kids around for our son to play with. a bit from khao lak town, 5 min tuktuk by baht to go to the town. but most beautiful location in khao lak. good restaurant.

Very nice hotel in Khao Lak ”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Khao Lak Sunset Resort. The beach was great and the dining facilities were very good. Enjoyed the breakfast which was included in hotel rate.

Very nice and perfect for diving”

The hotel is very nice, right on the beach, close drive to diving pier to get to Similan Islands, and also is very conveniently located for eating and shopping in the town of Khao Lak. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Wonderfull peaceful paradise.”

right from the start on my arrival everything was fine. the room was great large, clean, good shower and wonderful views. i was here in the off period and it was so peaceful and quite, just what i wanted. the internet is good and you can ask for special price if you want 24/7 access. the staff tried their best and provided great service with a humble smile. the meal are good and breakfast huge if you want the lot. for the price this hotel is certainly great value and i recomend it to those who wish to have a nice relaxing vacation. i will return again for sure. you can stroll along the beach into town it takes about 1 hour and you can get most things at the supermarket and surrounding shops. just wonderfull 9.5 stars hehe

A little piece of paradise”

We loved the location and charming, ever-helpful staff. There were a few small things that didn't work, so maybe some upgrades are due. Overall it was great - would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Khao Lak, which itself is pretty close to paradisE.

Not in the center of Khao-Lak. A 20-minute walk or a taxi ride for going downtown.

Great Beach”

It was the one of the best beaches. Not affected from the low tide. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good for a three star hotel. Their only computer for the internet was down or the internet connection was dead. However, the German Manager helped us by providing access to his own computer. Overall, a four star hotel with three star prices.

Good beach hotel. Remote location.”

I'm glad we chose this hotel. The distinct upside of this hotel is the location. All rooms face the sea. You have to climb down few flights and you are at the very good sandy beach. It is very quiet at the night. The distinct downside of this hotel is the location. All the restaurants and bars, all shops and all the activity is away from this hotel. You'll need to rent bike, scooter or car or use taxi (100-150 bahts one way) to reach anything. To sum it up: if you don't mind paying for taxi this hotel is very good value for money.

Khao Lak Sunset resort”

We had a pleasant stay in the hotel. Friendly reception. Well kept place, clean, nice garden, pool, balconies. Mixed thai-western menu. We enjoyed a very quiet hotel and beach (first half of november). Sea is perfect for swimming with moderate tidal changes and hardly any currents. Not much for snorkeling however. Friendly beach bar is good for stunning sunsets.

Exceptional service”

We upgraded from a deluxe room for a minimal fee and were very happy we did. Our room was great and had an incredible view. We liked that this hotel was at the end of the beach and a little off the beaten track. The walk to town is a pleasant stroll on the beach or a $3 taxi ride. We rented a scooter after a couple of days so we could have more freedom to enjoy the area. What fun!

This hotel is a gem - perfect for honeymooners or anyone else seeking a quiet getaway from massage parlors & souvenir hawkers. The beach is one of the most beautiful we have ever encountered, & is located a few meters from the hotel. All rooms have a magnificent view of the andaman sea facing west (yes, that's where the sun sets)

Convenient and quiet”

Hotel had everything we needed. Pool was small, looks big on advertising (how do they do those shots!!!) Adequate to cool off. Restaurant had reasonable selection of food with nice outlook over beach. Staff friendly although many not good with English. We chose best room category in hotel and were a little dissappointed. Cheaper room would have been better as location of deluxe rooms was way up on hillside, furthest away from facilities? Cheaper rooms were just as nice inside. Breakfast was good. Bed in new rooms were very hard! Needed Thai massage to recover back

Good location, older hotel”

Our room was spacious and with a large balcony from where there was a beautiful view to the beach and sunset. Clean and sufficienty equipped. Quiet at night, except from rather old and noisy aircon. The hotel is, as is mentioned in many reviews, good but also a bit old-fashioned and worn. Breakfast was OK, but not too kid friendly. Guests were predominantly elderly German couples.
