Hotel with Private Beach”
This hotel was located 20 klms from Phetchaburi right on the sea. It was a lovely hotel with a great restaurant at reasonable prices. We stayed in a Garden view room which was near to the pool. Staff were very friendly. Would recommend to a couple for a quiet getaway.

Location, location !!”
The place is a bit older, and in many ways not well maintained, which in itself is surely a challenge - while it sits directly exposed to the forces of water, salt, and wind. Through its location, it has no beach to speak of (15 m over 4m (?) at ebb tide). The pool is nice - but no shade at any point in the day. There are a couple of bigger houses that looked promising ( more seating or relaxing areas), but our Seaview Villa had only 2 hard-wooden chairs on the porch. This would have been acceptable for a third of the price that they charged. The great positive was ALL the staff of the resort who did everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible.

A decent beachfront hotel”
The beachfront room is a bit disappointing. The AC is loud/ the bed is not that comfortable. However, With the sunrise and sunset view from the room some of the downsides are forgivable :))

Not worth the money”
The place was small with insufficient parking. The room was OK. The towels were not soft. Pool was small and rather dirty. Fitness was tiny and NOT open. Breakfast was delicious, though.

Acceptable”
My deal said I was getting a 10,000 baht room with 74 percent savings. It turned out to be a normal room at normal price. Shonky marketing and now my trust is broken. If you do stay here make sure you know exactly where it is, it’s not a pretty area. Breakfast was poor as well.

Would not return”
This place was disappointing, especially for the cost. The mosquitoes are terrible as the facility is right next to a mangrove swamp. The tiny beach had too much trash. The bed had a centipede. The food was sub-par at best. We have stayed at many places over the last 14 years and have some we return to over and over, this would not be one of those.

Great resort ”
i Tara Resort and Spa is a gem in the Phetchaburi area. The secluded beach is pleasant despite having quite a few shells scattered around. Staff are very friendly and attentive plus the breakfast included is pretty good. You choose the options from the menu ranging from Thai dishes up to American breakfast and Danish pastries. The Beach bungalow is an excellent room, not too far from the beach and with the door open you can hear the sound of the ocean. Overall an excellent place to stay and will be returning again for New Year :D

Vertigo in Pool”
And I thought people only suffer the vertigo effect when flying an airplane. Their vast pool lined against the backdrop of the shoreline and sunny skies so inviting, I went for a swim. The pool was a swimming pool blue and truly just that blue, no lines no markings. So, I had no idea which direction I was facing when I attempted to swim its length, and crash myself into the equally blue wall as it was impossible to judge the distance from the edge underwater. Well that aside, the Deluxe Room I had was one of the most pleasant and clean rooms I had staying in multiple hotels this province. This hotel was priced right for the excellent conditions of the rooms and its furnishing, and also for the spectacular view of the sea. It was a balance between seclusion and totally being left neglected compared to the smaller establishments this area (I had stayed in resorts which I was totally left alone on weekdays). The only joke I saw was the gym, 2 equipments in a glass room the size of a toilet but never mind that. I had wanted massage at the spa, and was told “no doctor was in”, but again never mind that. Breakfast was hearty, a buffet line. But I did wonder if I was the only one that stayed, will there be a buffet. There was a seminar going on and so it was worth the hotel to put out the spread. It was me business trip, it was just a short drive to town and I did not want to stay in town. I want to relax after work by the beach in comfort and this hotel satisfied that. I will be back again so this means it was worth me stay. It would be highly desirable to get one of their ocean facing private villas up front, but that was way too pricy for what the resort, and my pocket, could offer.

Really nice hotel with friendly staff”
I've stayed at the i-Tara before, when it first opened. It's location makes it ideal for relaxation and in winter, is central to all the birdwatching sites around. A car is a must. The hotel is in Laem Pak Bia, a tiny village with a couple of shops, two hours south of Bangkok by car and about an hour north of Cha Am. Petchaburi is about 20km away, about 40 minutes in a car.If it's all-in entertainment or bars you want, forget it. It's a quiet hotel. There is a local boatman who does birdwatching trips out to a sandspit and longer trips out to see whales. It is located right on the sea. Leave you balcony door oen at night and you can hear the waves on the beach. There are nice gardens and a great pool next to a mainly deserted beach. The rooms are spacious and clean, the air-con quiet. Each room has a sea view and a balcony. The bathroom is large with a nice shower cubicle. Maybe lighting is a bit subdued, but it's manageable.I wanted a low pillow and there was one available. A kettle and tea and coffee made getting up early a little bit easier. The usual two free bottles of water were renewed each day. There was a room safe and a decent flatscreen TV although there were no english channels of note. All the staff were friendly and helpful and those on reception spoke good english. If I had any minor complaints about the hotel, it would be the food. Relatively expensive and the menu didn't have that much choice and the portions were small when the came. The breakfast buffet was the typical cold eggs, plastic sausages and ham, and fatty bacon. However, when I asked for a fresh omelette it came quickly. I also had laundry done which was fine when it was returned, but once again, relatively expensive. These two things shouldn't put anyone off staying at the i-Tara. If it's peace and quiet you want and a good base to explore the local area, then this hotel is fine.

Greate luxury hotel”
This is my second visit for I Tara. I chose this hotel without any hesitation when I planned to Chao Samran; unfortunately, I found a lot of mosquitoes during my stay (maybe raining season)

iTara”
i Tara resort was wonderful. The room was fine, but nothing extraordinary. The view was lovely. The pool is nicely designed and enjoys a stunning oceanfront location. The beach is tiny and rocky, but provides an exhilarating swim in the suddenly deep waters. The restaurant at i Tara was very good and fairly priced. Location is a bit remote from the surrounding attractions, which suited us fine. It is quiet and peaceful. We found this resort to be a much needed break from the many filled with children, which was also great. Value is ok, but we had a great time.

Always a pleasure to stay here :)”
We always love staying at i Tara due to the cleanliness of the rooms, great view of the ocean, friendliness of staff and the facilities. It's a perfect location for a getaway from the city. We would highly recommend this place if you want a home away from home.

Nice, quiet and peaceful.”
we had a very pleasant stay, everything was great until the check-out. one of the two rooms we booked, a coffee cup was missing and we were asked about this, so we couldn't leave as a staff at the reception phoned the housekeepers to double check if the lost item was really missing. we told them we didn't take it, my sister said she saw only one cup in the room since the first time we stepped in. i understand it is their duty to ask when this such a thing happens, but we felt like we were criminals were being held for further interrogation. eventually a staff at the reception said, it could be found, so she + one more staff apologised. but i don't think they really found it, cos there was only a cup in the room since in the first place anyway, but i think they just didn't want to argue with customers over one coffee cup, so they just said it could be found. i understand it is their job to ask, but i think it would be great if they could put a list of their properties in the room and remind their guests or any other methods to check if anything missing since in the first place to prevent this kind of incident again. we really love this place and i am sure many people do, but only this kind of incident, it can demolish everything in the end.
