Hotels near Tanah Rata Town

I was very happy with my stay here. The rooms were huge and the bed was comfortable. The hotel itself seems really new and the pictures are very accurate. At first, I was reluctant to book here since the pictures inside the hotel on Agoda look digitised (probably from before the place was built). But even if they are not 'real' images - they are still very accurate to how the hotel looks. The hotel was very big, in an empty and large shopping mall (I am assuming everything was recently opened) and within walking distance to all the restaurants in Tanah Rata. Also, breakfast was good. I really liked our room (super big rooms with a nice bathroom). Staff were friendly and the place felt secure. However, there were no facilities (to my knowledge) like a pool or gym or anything, although there was a kids' playground outside my room. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fancy hotel experience in Tanah Rata.

The hotel was just a street away from Tanah Rata Town Centre. This makes it easy to shop, get food and massages. It was very well maintained, with working heaters and spacious rooms. The staff were also courteous and responsive. There was a power outage in Tanah Rata during my stay but the hotel was well prepared. The basic facilities like lights and heaters still ran. Everything went by so normally that we did not even realise that the entire Tanah Rata "black-out" until we wanted to charge our cellphone. There was also ample parking space. The wifi is free, but the only grudge was that it was only available at the lobby and restaurant. Overall, it was a great place to stay for a holiday.

situated in tanah rata, opposite a lovely golf caourse, just far enough from the main tanah rata town to avoid the congestion and noise. stayed at the newly renovated halcyon and the experience was great! room came with traditional english breakfast which was top notch, and tea time at the garden was the highlight! fireplace is lit up at night at the bar area with commendable list of drinks (alcohol and non alcohol). staff was very attentive (mr. joe) and explained history of the building and gave tips on starting a fire at the fireplace. they even packed for us light lunch prior to our check-out! truly memorable and mesmerizing trip, will definitely stay here again for my next trip to ch!

We had a wonderfully pleasant and enjoyable stay in Heritage Hotel. Firstly we were upgraded to a Suite as the Hotel were busy hosting a few conventions. Secondly, the staff we interacted with (front desk, housekeeping & cafe/restaurant) are all very helpful and pleasant. Especially Arnie from the Front Office, who even remembered my name the next day when we pass each other along the road leading to the Tanah Rata town central. Thirdly, the location is just a 10-15 minutes to Tanah Rata central area. Faster walking down, slightly slower when walking up.

It was good location, near to Brinchang & Tanah Rata town. The room was clean, staff was friendly. It was good place for families. The best thing was the view outside and the environment. The resort is perfect place for family. Recommend this place to others. Few things need improvement such as bathroom slippers and towels were not provided. Also in 1 of the washroom, the heater was not working properly. The hot water was just a while only. Cooking was not allowed and parking space only 1 car park per house. TV channels very limited only 2 channels working, its better if have more channel. There is also no restaurant or coffee house in the resort and it is must to have a personal car.

Generally this hotel is brand new - understand from the receptionist that it just opened around mid 2009. So everything is virtually very new, very clean, and in good shape - ie., all the water heater, toilet flushes, taps, etc, work just fine. The staff service is good too - I asked for additional toilet roll, and the person appeared at our door, with a smile, with the toilet roll in less than 3 minutes. Breakfast is the usual stuff - asian and western mixed. The seating in the restaurant is good - one can choose to sit indoors [no wind, but cool enough], or, have their breakfast outside (alfresco style, with more wind, so need to have your jackets on). Location-wise, the hotel is great too - in between Tanah Rata town and Brinchang town. There is also enough car parks around the hotel if you drive.

Booked the private double room which was o.k but no window! Location was gr8 near to Tanah Rata town centre less than 3min walking and surrounded by restaueants mini markets cafes and other guest houses & hotels so meet up others will be convenient. Wifi was fast, kitchenette facility was gr8. Place was clean and staff are really friendly & helpful. Seggar was best he explained everything to me prepared breakfast every morning for me and even treated me with pain killer when i tripped over the stairs and hut my leg and kept asking about it whenevr he saw me. There is a cafe at yhe geound floor Hideout i guess they're partners and u get 10% discount of ur order by quoting ur staying at the bedstation, food coffee and even tea were gr8 (am not a tea drinker however they serve delicious masala tea). U can rent mountain bikes from there and tgey help u arrange for different tours however i recommend walking along the town and search for tour operators urself for full experiement

I stayed here for four nights between Christmas and New Year. Good value. Clean room with great bed and two nice balconies to sit on and watch things passing by in Tanah Rata. Good location but Tanah Rata is small and most places are easily walked to. The hiking is very, very nice. Ask for a second blanket as it does get cold at night. Would have liked better water pressure. The water was hot but when it is cold you really want a good spray and not a trickle. Good place to stay though.

We booked this 'hotel' believing that it was located near Tringkap or somewhere closer to the Simpang Pulai Toll Gate. At this accommodation was located in Tanah Rata, we had to travel way further up to reach the destination. However, the good thing was, we reached the area in a much faster time than expected since there were not much traffic at night (but be wary of fogs esp during raining seasons). This budget inn was in a very good condition as it seemed like it had just been recently refurbished. Room was cosy and everything seemed perfect, except for the water heater - not being able to produce enough hot water for the morning shower, probably due to almost icy water. No breakfast provided but warm and cold drinking waters were within reach. Mini markets and food stalls were just around the corner, so our stomachs weren't left empty for long. The best thing was, since we were already at the peak of the area, we had an easy access to lots of interesting places, to stop by as we travelled down the hills on our way back home.
