Hotels near Jalan Pudu Road

During my stay, I was met with friendly staffs and attention. I did not have the time to test drive their fitness center or some pool time, so I'm leaving my comments out however their facility of lift access to car parks and lobby toilets is no hassle. Ramp access for wheel chair users are available. I gave this property a 5 stars except cleanliness for bathroom towel odors (got that exchange instantly) but later for bedtime found bed sheet too has little bit of odors but was tired from the malls walk and I'm just here for a night only so I let that slide but do look forward in any of my future stay here. Absolutely a great hotel for guest looking for leisure in doing shopping minus hassle with road traffic congestion or car parking worries. This property provide free car park for in-house guest. Not enough shopping well there a pedestrian walk bridge link to the nearest MRT and Bus station, which one could find IKEA with another adjust-cent mall next to that.

Firstly, the hotel is still under renovation and there is only 3 floors currently open for customers to stay. King size bed is limited and when i was checking in, is quite a hassle as they were unable to track my booking and i have to wait for almost 1 hour plus before i could check in. Besides that, the staffs there are quite friendly except for one or two which i think the management should retrain them. Since is still under construction, there are many flaws occur during our stay for example, anyone from the mall can assess to your floor without any hotel card or anything. Besides all this, the hotel is perfect, im sure when they are done with the construction , they will be one of the best hotels in KL.

I am a Singaporean and all these while I've only stayed in 4 or 5 star hotel whenever I travel to KL. This time round i went without my family so i was on a budget and decided to gamble on this 3 star hotel. Service is really good and I was very impressed with the room! Nothing like 3 star! Best of all, it's even better than some of the hotels that I've stayed in and a whole lot cheaper! There's free laundry too and breakfast is good! What more can I ask for paying sgd50 plus per night?! Will definitely recommend! I got around by Uber alot but it is walking distance to Berjaya Times Square. We made a mistake by taking Uber from BTS. Waste of money as the taxi driver pretended to not know where to go! Such an ass. One of the advices that I can give is to walk to BTS thn take public transport or Uber straight from the hotel. Cheap and convenient. And when I say Uber, take the one with fixed amount so they can't cheat or play dumb. All the best for ur trip, guys! Stay safe 💕

Pros: - Price is cheap - Great location, just a minute walk from Pudu LRT station. You can easily find foods nearby, but it's mainly non halal foods. It close to Pudu Wai Sek Kai or Glutton lane, a food hawker stalls which some of them open in morning. Must try the Fried Chicken stalls (comparable to KFC, start open from 4 pm) and Chun kei noodle (non halal, open in the morning and evening). - Aircon is working well, it's very cold as well - Hot water is working well and the bathroom is clean - They let you borrow adapter if you forgot to bring yours for free - Check in time 12 pm which is great - Wifi is available in each floor, so you will get fast internet in your room. - The cleaning service didn't make a lot of noise on my stay like some of the review said. - The reception guy is providing a great service for me and able to sort my keycard problem immediately. Cons: - I found a long hair in bed, seems the cleaning service missed that - You can skip the water jug inside the room since they provided hot and cold water dispenser near the elevator. Maybe the hotel should consider removed the water jug too. Overall my stay in here is great, I will be back for my next trip into kuala lumpur.

the hotel is one of the best in this area. there are also some cheap hotel near this hotel, but as i can see that d garden hotel has the best exterior building design. the room i rent is quite nice with comfy large bed, good shower and a useful tv for your entertainment. every floor of the hotel is equipped with wifi that guest can use for free for unlimited time. just request the passkey from the receptionist in the 1st floor. at night, there are several restaurant / coffee shop open until midnight, so don't worry you'll be getting starving as you can easily find food for supper.

we kinda got lost while looking for it, but the land mark was jusco and from that, jalan jejaka or jalan cochrane and try to look for jalan permaisuri. the sign is covered with stickers so its quite hard to locate. but nevertheless, when we got to the hotel check in was fast, room was neat and tidy, everything was organized, room service and reception calls were acted upon efficiently. air conditioning works perfectly, adequate complimentary things (bathroom stuff, water, wifi was fast too), plus the hotel was environmentally inclined. they have environmental awareness policies or options that the guests may participate like saving towels and bed sheets. over all, it was a grand stay at hotel maluri.

It was an amazing experience. Tucked away at a little alley behind the main road, hotel maison is a gem waiting to be discovered. The service rendered at this hotel was wonderful. From the security guard,the check in counter attendant to the hotel's chef, they exemplify good service and attitude. The security guard was always kind to show me the direction to where i should be holding, the chef served you breakfast with a smile and the hotel receptionist upgraded my room one class above when i checked in. What more could i have asked for.

The price is reasonable. I have been staying in the other hotel near China Town under the same group . Both hotels are in good rate for budget traveller. The location is good for me because I already been staying in Leo Leisure Hotel near China Town . I booked this hotel in pudu for 2 weeks in 2 separate bookings . I don't want to go to downtown to have lots of massage parlour and massage girls. if in downtown hard to control myself . Therefore I book one more week before I fly to Hanoi . The hotel room is bigger than the one in china town and both hotels rooms are clean . In here breakfast is provided although not many choices but compare with the price . It is acceptable. Also mini bar is provided and coffee Tea making facility. The price is not much difference between the one in china town but you get more here. The staff is friendly overall although there is minor problem occurring but the manager Kelvin solved my issues immediately. That's what I expect for the right attitude. Thanks . The facility is acceptable because of the room rate . Nothing to complain. I will definitely staying here next year when I come to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and also letting my friends know the place .

The hotel location is hiding in the next road (Jalan Ulu Pudu) to Jalan Cheras. But, this made the hotel pretty isolated from disturbance. For those who are not driving, Maluri LRT Station is just opposite the river (within walking distance but does not have good walking path due to highway construction). For those who are driving, the Hotel offers limited 3 parking lots in front of the hotel on first come first serve basis (Luckily, we normally got our parking easily). The hotel interior design is like per its name, a Vertical Garden. For those who stay at 3rd floor and below, the soon-to-be opened cafe offer a very comfortable Green House and Garden feeling. For those who stay at 4 floor, you can have the city view. There is a unique and customized lift linking every floor. But, for those bringing your kids, might need to behave them for safety purpose. The room is simple with different wall paper (at least we found that both of our room are different). The bed is pretty comfortable and the bathroom are big enough even without glass partition to separate shower corner and dry corner. Overall, it is a very leisure stay with this hotel.

This hotel is located out of main tourist attractions but really close to IKEA or Pudu food stalls. For this price the room was spacious in compare to other properties close to tourist attractions. Breakfast (fried rice/roti alias dried pancake with sauce) is served in the morning. Free flow of tea and coffee all day. The only problem we had was that our sink did not drained at all (room 3-4).

We booked this hotel just for a place to sleep after a tiring long journey. We only stayed for 6 hours. Hotel is clean and above a cafe. Ample parking space at night. Its a new hotel so its clean and comfortable. Near to aeon maluri and lrt maluri. Only problem was that we were travelling with a baby and arrived late at night and when we tried to check in, the staff said d room with double bed that we booked was not available and replaced us with twin bed. We had to manually push the bed close so that our baby wouldnt fall. No lift at the hotel either so avoid bringing large luggage. All in all, its a clean new budget hotel.

I had to kill several roaches when I checked in a few showed up the next day. I only booked here for one night and that turned out to be a good thing because I didn't want to have to deal with that any longer. Everything else about the room was just fine. The room & bedding were clean. The carpeting in the halls is old & dingy but that was no big deal. The staff was courteous. There's an elevator & two computers for guest use. Overall it's a good hotel for the price. The bugs were my only issue, else I probably would have booked more nights.

The Urban Bird Hotel was the perfect choice for a couple of days in KL. On arrival they upgraded me into a Deluxe Queen room. The Deluxe Queens are small but there's enough space for luggage, even for two people it would be fine I suppose. But on that note, it's important to know that the bathrooms are open towards the ceiling. If you're traveling alone that's obviously no problem but when traveling with someone be prepared that there's no way to hide ANYTHING. Otherwise both bathroom and room were perfectly clean and in excellent condition. The bed was comfortable and there are several wall-attached wardrobes and hooks to hang clothes. If you're a light sleeper you might want to bring ear plugs as there can be noise from the hallway. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the reception is covered 24/7. Also, I felt really safe as the main entrance can only be opened from the outside when ringing the bell and being admitted by the staff. Attached to the hotel is a coffee shop/waffle place attached to it, which is a nice and friendly place. Only thing is, it doesn't open until noon so it's no breakfast option. Location-wise the hotel is about a 5' walk each to Pudu and Imbi station. You can also walk to Bukit Bintang in about 15-20'. During daytime it's very safe in this area, but I don't know about night time. I never walked back to the hotel when it was late but took a Grab car. I can definitely recommend this place and can honestly say it was the best value in Southeast Asia so far.

Overall, quite good. Best one is we can walk very close to the train station. If you plan to use Uber/Grab/Taxi, the location is not too far from the city center as well. Too tired to go out for meals? No worries. The area is surrounded with cheap and good food & drinks. Size of the room was enough for both of us. Comfortable, and worth the price. No bugs on the wall, floor, or bed! Huge Yay! Just need to improve the cleanliness of bed sheets, and since it’s allowed to smoke inside the room, kindly make sure to remove the smell of cigarettes before a new guest comes in the room. Would like to comeback again in my next visit.

Simple and clean. Enough for just sleeping and spending most time outside. Bed is comfortable. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Check-in/out is easy and pleasant. If you drive, parking is on roadside. You need to pay parking fees using JomParking mobile app, or using the parking machine on roadside. Nearby has plenty of coffee shops and shopping malls. Location is close to KL center/Pudu.

april  2012, i and my girlfriend stayed at phoenix hotel for two night. all the staff of phoenix hotel are very friendly since we stepped in the hotel and they provided great level of services even the security guard who will always smile and open the door at main entrance for you to come in or go out from the hotel. the room is very comfortable which provide nice and clean bed and lcd tv with satellite channel like astro and  although the wash room is considered a bit small but out of all the budget hotels this is the best we have seen so far due to it looks very new and clean. all facilities needed  inside the room are completed, and also you may be able to request for other facilities and services like wifi, hair-dryer and etc..from reception. what is amazing to us which is the speed of the wifi connection, it is really fast and steady. although the location of phoenix hotel is a bit far from the pudu lrt station and we need to take about 10min walk to the hotel. we have taken cab to petaling street is only within 10min and it's cost few ringgit only because it is very far if walking to petaling street or even times square. altogether, we have great experience when the time we stayed at phoenix hotel for two night. the prices range for each of the room are reasonable and affordable. there is one of the nice hotel we have experienced. we will consider to have another chance again to stay at phoenix hotel. this experience is value for money and worthwhile. in my opinion, this hotel will be entitled score 9 out of 10.
