Hotels near Golden Hills Weekend Night Market

If only we hadn't stayed over a week-end! We arrived on a Friday and left on the Monday. On the Saturday we decided to drive down to Brinchang which is only a few kilometres away. I have never seen a traffic jam like it. In the end we parked the car and walked the rest of the way. A local said it would be quicker to walk and she was right. Apparently it is the same every week-end. The night market was great for street food and atmosphere but soooo many people in a relatively small area. We would have loved to have driven around checking out the sights that were to far to walk to but there was no point because of the traffic. Fortunately we could walk to the Butterfly farm and Insect zoo(?). Both fairly interesting. The Time Tunnel memorabilia place was interesting as well and worth a look. The hotel was fine, no complaints really, except that they had no business centre. There was supposed to be a laptop available but no one could find it. We had our own IPad fortunately but the Wi-Ficonnection was so slow I was hoping a PC might do better. This is a 300+ room hotel so I can't understand why they don't have a business centre. Good points were the pool tables in the foyer and even dart boards available. Karaoke too if that's your idea of fun.

Hotel integrated with shopping mall. But sadly during our visit the mall just launch no long ago and there wasn't many shop around. Location is perfect at Kea Farm where morning time the market just few walk steps away from hotel. And the weekends night market in Brinchang town is just few minutes drive way from the hotel. Hotel doesn't provide food but it had access to the mall so who cares. But found out that the soundproof is kindda weak in the room footsteps and voices from corridor can be heard in the room. May or may not return.

I was traveling in a group of 5 so we booked a twin-sharing room and a triple-sharing8. We called the hotel direct line to make our bookings and made deposits via bank transfer. If you plan to call, ask for this one staff. She's very friendly and informative. Our sole purpose is photography adventure (taking photographs) so we only use the room for sleeping and bath - meaning most of the time we were not in our rooms. They supply clean towel, soap and shower cap. If you need other toiletries, you can buy them at a mini-mart (200 meters uphill from the hotel entrance). They have two drinking glasses and a flask for hot water. HOWEVER, to get drinking water you have to go to the first floor(there are 4 floors in total) where there is a water dispenser. The water dispenser supplies both hot and cold water. There is no tea of coffee making facilities in the room. There is a 14 inch TV but you can only view two local government run stations - RTM1 and RTM2. There are NO elevators - ONLY STAIRS. They don't provide breakfast but there are plenty of restaurants around the block (Fast food joint - KFC is opposite the hotel). There is a gas station near by (right next to KFC) The night market is a major attraction with local traders plying their trade right in front of the police station. Which is about 500 meters from the hotel. Personally I find it better to have my meals at KFC or the night market (for dinner) than the restaurants because the restaurants charge at exorbitant prices and far more expensive.

I was in Cameron Highlands for five days for rest and relax. I didn't want to drive too much for food and things. This hotel is centrally located in Brichang, surrounded by many restaurants of various cuisines, convenient shops and a small morning market. Many local places of interests are just at driving distant. Also another reason why I chose this hotel is because the night market is at walking distant. Parking is an issue when the night market is held every Friday and Saturday. This is a proper large hotel with friendly staff (there is a very friendly waiter named Siva who will start a conversation with the guests), good breakfast with local dishes (best fried noodles and fried kuey teow I've ever eaten) and clean room, though I think it's about time for some refurbishment as the furniture is old and the carpet is tired looking, maybe due to the cold weather. There are many shop house hotels in Brichang but this is really a proper large hotel.

It is great for anyone who are looking for a place that centrally located in Cameron Highland. You can travel by foot from the hotel to night market to buy various of things. You can find food very easily because the hotel is near with restaurants, KFC and etc. I would suggest to go here on weekdays because on weekend the car park is limited. You also can buy a travel map from the lobby if you are not familiar with Cameron Highland around RM4.

I cant ask for more. We paid for only RM131 for a night stay and that inclusive breakfast for two adults and 1 kid. Room (deluxe queen) - is not big. but just nice for 3 of us. Theres prayer mat for muslim and just nice space for you to perform your prayer and qiblat direction is also in the room. Thumbs up for this. Theres 1 queen bed, 1 bathroom, 1 tv, 1 fan and kettle. No need for aircond. Lift also available. Cleanliness of the room - just perfect. breakfast- please dont expect food like in 5 stars hotel. During our stay, we had mee goreng, porridge, bread toast,salads and muffin. For us, thats good enough. Location- for us, its a strategic location. we opt for this hotel because its near to morning market (previously night market also here) it took us about 5 minute (by car) to reach the new night market. Will definitely come here again.

Staff is friendly. Check in and check out was fast. It is a new area facing the construction area beside Big Red Strawberry Farm. You may hear noises from the construction site 9am-6pm. Other than that, it is a quiet place. Walkable to the morning market, however driving is required for night market at golden hills. There is a 7-11 nearby. The hotel sells snack & drinks at the counter too. They provide some plates, bowls and cups for sharing. They have water dispenser outside the room, where you can get cold and hot water. The bathroom is spacious, however there is a gap between the toilet glass door (someone may easily peek in from room). Perhaps the staff can figure out something to solve this. Room with mini stairs is not so suitable fr family with young kids (1+year) as you will keep on worrying they fell down from the upper part. There is a gap between the bed and window too, of which small kids may fell down if left unnoticed. Overall,it is a nice place.

The location was good since it's close to shops and night market and you can just walk from there. We booked the quadraple room and it was huge!! Really not what i expected since we booked the last room and this hotel is among few left. The fact that they have fans is good because without it, we'd feel suffocated. The reception weren't really friendly but that didn't bother us as much. They gave us free steamboat for dinner as well. It was a really great stay and i would definitely book here again!

Very positive experience. Stayed at highest floor facing back with windows so almost no noise except garbage truck on some nights picking up trash which can emit odor slightly if windows are open. Hot shower is centralised so is reliable and you have to find your perfect sweet spot between 2 extremes of hot and cold. Shower head has 3 settings which is nice. Room, and the whole hotel is interior designed with family in mind so is cozy. Common area provides free water and hot water for hot drinks or to cook instant noodles in cup. Tv has about 5 to 7 working channels with 2 local channels and other cable including sports and international news. Wifi is decent and superfast sometimes. Sound can be slightly heard from common area if people are noisy but in 2 nights, didn't hear any noise from the other rooms. Security seems excellent with keycard access and cctvs in pivotal areas. Nothing missing from housekeeping activities either. Room only has a desk fan which is enough for circulation as I prefer the cool natural breeze by opening the windows. Hotel owned convenient store on ground level with reasonable and cheap prices, some even cheaper than in KL. Variety of local food options in surrounding area, from malay, indian, chinese to even thai food. Delicious cheap local food at the food court next to the Central Market which sells local goods and souvenirs, located across the road. Parking is easy on weekdays but I didn't get to experience the night market. A strawberry farm is closeby. To walk probably takes about 30 mins so a car is recommended as its uphill and takes 4 mins. A petrol station is nearby, as well as police station and fire station. No entertainment at night so just hang around restaurants. Brinchang town is closest to Boh Tea Plantation Deck which is a must visit about 18km away. Also close to Kea Market / Farm which offers cheapest strawberries in Cameron Highlands Highly recommended budget hotel

It was my first time trip vocation to CH. Wow..!! this hotel was new refurbished and look new and also their bed was superb, comfortable.. i like it very much. Their hotel closed to the night market, only 5 minute walk away, and also easy to getting the breakfast, just go down & can see the center market. if u wanna to eat fast food, KFC is just in front of hotel. Hopefully i will stay here for my next trip vocation.... =)

Overall we were satisfied with Silverstar Hotel. It is located at the most happening Brinchang town center and surrounded by lots of restaurants, famous steamboats, shop lot etc. And only two three minutes walk to the Brinchang night market. We booked a triple room for our stay. Room is clean & tidy, equipped with a 32 inch LCD TV but unfortunately no air-conditioner in the room, just a small fan.But it does't a big deals. I will recommend this hotel to my friends & relatives. For sure, we will stay at this hotel again during our next visit.

Not many family suite can be found among the hotel in Cameron but Hotel Pop Ash is one of the very few. It's located in a very strategic place, walking distance to the Brinchang Night Market. The receptionist is from KL not local and little knowledge of the Place of Interest in Cameron. Hopefully she will be more knowledgeable after a longer stay and able to recommend places for the tourist.

hotel is rundown but everything works well..just beside the only supermarket in brinchang..taxi stand just 100m away which makes it convenient for us to move around on our own if we wanna customise our own tour..pasar malam aka brinchang night market is just a stone's throw away..so is the big red strawberry farm & cactus valley..wi fi is great!!! to sum up, rainbow is an ideal choice for a budget hotel..we enjoyed our 3d2n stay :)

Located in the town center of Brincang. Simple but comfortable room. I have been here a few times booking the same hotel. The price is Ok for a family room for 5 person. But every year there will be price increase. Parking is a problem but once you get it do not move or it will be taken away by another car. RM0.60 is charged every hour from 0800 am till 1800 hrs daily including Saturdays & Sundays & make sure to get ready your parking tickets as the enforcement team is very efficient in issuing summons. Food is not a problem as there are many restaurants at walking distance. Maybe due to dry spell, during my visit it was not cold at all in the afternoons. Morning and night is ok. Overall a recommended hotel for a short stay in Cameron Highlands.
