Hotels near Bora Asmara, Sungai Penchala

This is second time I stayed in this hotel as for all my previous K.L stays and this is the best hotel for us because it is attached to a very huge One Utama shopping mall which is the largest in Malaysia and seventh in the world. I had previously stayed in 5 star hotels in Bukit Bintang but it was difficult to walk when it was raining. The prices in One Utama s/mall are cheaper than Pavilion s/mall in Bukit Bintang. Walking distance from One Utama s/mall to Bandar Utama MRT station My sister and I stayed 5 nights in One World hotel. We got free upgraded to deluxe room with two queen twin beds and the room is very big including the bathroom with a long bath and shower area. The breakfast is very good with a lot of varieties including Chinese, Western, Malay and Indian foods. I also like the Malay kueh, Indian roti canai and appam pancake. There are also freshly squeezed different type of fruit juices and the coffee is also very delicious.

Good location in terms of shopping and food. However, if you’d have to travel to other places...this location might not be ideal because the traffic is horrific, especially during fasting month. Looking for the hotel was a confusing, I went to the wrong hotel because they’re all named the same but it was alright. It’s only 10 mins walk from the wrong ones called Royale Chulan Damansara. Once arrived, I felt welcomed. Cheers to the friendly staffs! Check-in was simple and easy. Room was clean, nothing dodgy. (Thank God) Ladies! There’s hairdryer provided, no need to bring your own. It’s quite powerful too! A word of reminder for families though, the floors are mostly NOT smoke-free, so it would be best to actually request one if you’re traveling with kids. Didn’t had a chance to use the swimming pool, so no comments on that. I gave a 3-star rate for the Value of money, it’s because it is actually quite expensive. The interior design wasn’t as new, the lobby was warm, there’s a bulb dying in my room which makes it difficult for me to put on makeup, and I don’t understand why they installed the magnifying makeup mirror like 20cm taller than me and I can’t pull it down to use it(I’m 163cm btw). Lastly, no breakfast included.. not that I’ve been informed about it, nor breakfast voucher in the room cards’ pouch. Thanks for reading my looooong review. Have fun traveling! xx

After I have booked the room, I received an email direct from Royale Chulan Damansara saying... "Regret to inform that we unable to secure your request as it is subject to room availability upon arrival. Please note, we have placed a remark in our system accordingly. Our team will try their level best to meet your requirement." The hotel made me think that i will not be getting what i have paid for, was worrying. On the actual check-in date, I was told my booking has been upgraded. So i guess, the hotel should edit the email to a more appropriate manner to avoid misunderstanding and worrisome. I like the location most as it is walking distance to IKEA, 1U Mall, Tesco... Staff is very friendly there and provided all the help needed in direction and extra towels and water. The only thing that can be improved is the size of the TV, not compatible with the size of the room. The distance from bed to the small TV is not really good.

First stay and welcome by the counter staff as “Special Guest of the Day” which upgraded my booking room from Luxury Room, King Bed to Junior Suite, Club Millesime Access. Check-in and check-out at Club Millesime located at 22rd floor where many food & beverage is available during the sessions of afternoon tea & evening cocktail. All staffs are attentive, warm & polite. Excellent experience in a more spacious room at a corner unit coupled with generous views. It designed with a nice and comfortable working desk and a luxury bathroom with Lanvin toiletries and bathtub & walk-through wardrobe. A super king sized bed with 4 pillows and 2 cushions. Not much variety in buffet breakfast for the price that paid. If you are driving, do validate your parking ticket at the Concierge and paid MYR10 per entry.

Initially my plan was staying in Damansara Perdana for 1 night but due to extended meeting, I had to book 1 more night. First night went ok. This hotel is definitely value for money. However on second night, my room was condition was poor. I was too tired to request for room change so I've informed the front desk when I was checking out next day morning and showed pictures I've taken from the room. Kohleen, very friendly and polite young lady immediately and sincerely apologized to me. She told me she will inform her manager and get back to me. Within an hour, I've got a call from Kohleen apologizing again. She has informed me I'll get complimentary room upon reservation. I've also got a text message from manager Chong who also apologized sincerely. I had to stay one more night for meeting so I have booked through Manhattan again. When I was checking in, the front desk guy (whom I haven't met before) also apologized for what happened. Clearly, they left note for my reservation and let all staff know about this. I'm not a fuss person when it comes to accommodation so I have stayed guest house to 5star hotels. Manhattan has the most proactive staff I've ever experienced (even if I compare to 5 star hotel in kl city) and all are professional. You don't expect this professionalism from budget-business hotel. Business travelers do not want to face issues with hotels after long meetings usually but they clearly know how to deal with problems and understand the meaning of customer service. I really think they can call themselves Manhattan "business" hotel.

I had initially booked a day on 28/6-29/6 then decided I would be tired when I arrived on 28/6 earlier than check in so booked 27/6-28/6. But forgot to inform I will be arriving on 28/6 10-11 am. I did send email saying would like 2 days same room. Unfortunately first day they upgraded me to junior suite really touched but I turned up 28/6 instead of 27/6. Hence had to check out at 3 pm. To be honest I booked 2 days cause I know I would be lacking sleep as I had to get up at 3.30 am to catch the 6.30am flight n wanted the room to be available immediately to check in n sleep. The front desk officer Mr Ali, I wish had been a little more pleasant and charming would have made my day. He opened his mouth without checking both my reservations and blundered. I informed I sent email to the hotel and he had the audacity to tell me he was not informed. I was saddened as one it’s your hotel information must be conveyed. As front desk officer you represent the hotel as first impressions are best.

The hotel have to branches. One in Mutiara Demansara while the other in TTDI. I suppose to book the one in Mutiara but I was careless. Apparently, I booked the one in TTDI. I arrived at the hotel around 8pm and checked in. The next day I ate my breakfast . They have mushroom egg and pork and beans and coffee. Lovely! I came back to the reception to request for transfer to the other hotel. I told them I want to transfer as the other branch is near to Demansara performing arts theatre where my friend is performing later. Long story short, the staff was able to to arrange my transfer. I am grateful to the staff of TTDI. Thank you for understanding.

uptown is famous for being a food heaven, and with a new mall there Starling Mall, there's even more reason to frequent this place. There are 2 sovotel boutique hotels here, mine is Sovotel 101, located behind the corner starbucks and Chilli Pan Mee shop. The other one is Sovotel 36 - facing LDP highway. Do take note while making your booking :) My room is clean, facilities are good and hot water shower working fine. Bed is also comfy and drinking water is provided. You can borrow a hairdryer from the front counter is needed. With the money Im paying, im very satisfied with the service I received. One complain, there seems to be a renovation ongoing next door. It was a Sunday, yet at 9am I could hear drilling and hammering right next to my room wall on the ground floor. It went on for 2 hours and stop slightly before lunch time.

The hotel is at a very convenient location, near to One Utama Shopping Center (around 15 min walking). If you dont want to walk, you can catch any taxi easily. Beside OneU is the public transportation point (direct bus to KL, Airport, Kepong,Singapore, etc). Downstair of hotel has food, convenient store, pharmacy, hair salons for your need. Hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful at all time. Even though this is just a small hotel, but rooms are very clean with enough facilities (TV, shower, water, aircon,etc. May be for some customers, the only minus is the size of room (a bit small) but with a solo traveller, it would be far enough. And the number of rooms are limited, so you may want to book earlier. For a cheap place to stay, overall, it is worth for money spending.

Good: The hotel is located at excellent location of Petaling Jaya / Damansara Uptown. Room is clean and size is reasonable for one person , staffs are super duper friendly, they even allow me to replenish drinking water / get extra pillow and towels. Bad: No on-site parking. Only street parking is available. And 95% of the time there is no parking space as office workers have occupied it from 8am onwards. You only have ONE CHOICE, park at the nearest mall which cost you at least RM1 / hour. Internet connection wasn't stable. It will be disconnect and request you to re-key in the password. Even, the user is actually visiting the site or went to bathroom , the internet will auto disconnect. Overall, You can't ask for more for a RM70/ night stay at that superb location. Anyway, Solvotel is our company's appoint business hotel in KL district.

The hotel itself located at the same row of many Chinese restaurant, finding car park was difficult even though I was checked in only at 11.45pm. Besides this every in the hotel is alright, in fact I was very happy with the room I booked. I booked for superior single room and the room was clean, it was really comfortable except I find the mattress was too hard. Anyway, it’s really value for money I will definitely recommend to others. P/s: I freaked out a little to the staircase when I walked in but that’s not really matter as the service was good. Keep up the good work! :)

I feels this hotel has been terribly under rated by previous customer.i stays here for 5 days during my training at centrepoint.its 15 minutes walk through kg kayu ara,not much of a walking pavement but still possible to walk.for a very good price i get: -a clean room -chill aircond -hot shower -local tv -breakfast/dinner stall at back of hotel -hotel can serve heat up instant food at lobby -taxi available at petronas 3 minutes walk from hotel -free parking at hotel area(its a workshop shoplots) -15minutes walk to centrepoint

I enjoyed my stay here.. The staff is very helpful and friendly.. They are always prepared and greets you with a smile.. The room is in tiptop condition. Although a little noisy, as the walls are thin, but i think it's still acceptable.. I will rate this a 5 star hotel if i can! And definitely will be back the next time I'm back in KL.. 2 star Hotel.. Wallpaper not nice.. Wall not paint.. Room service have to inform.. No water bottle but have water Dispenser on each floor No toiletries provided.. Only tissue and towels are there. No mug, cup or plates. Rm88 still expensive for 1 night , can consider if it's below rm70 with service charge. Got free parking. Next 2 or 3 door is Liquor shop. 1 Indian restaurant, 1 Malay restaurant and 1 Chinese restaurant is nearby.

We stayed for 4D/3N and we were very comfortable in this hotel. Online booking provider did a bit of a mess up on our booking and as such we were in a double room for just one night before, the hotel was able to sort us out into a family room. The room are basic but it was very clean, beds were comfortable and the shower was just simply superb. The air-condition was very good as well . The family room has windows which was very nice. Our first night in the double room it even has a common dinning area which was handy. The location of the hotel is just perfect where it was near a plethora of shops and restaurants and there is even a bus-stop near the hotel for those who need to move about in buses. Staffs were just so very efficient and friendly where they are ever ready to attend to your every need. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful and we wish you the very best. The hotel is clean and well managed. The room and the bathroom are clean, enough for a short visit. The staff are friendly and amiable. They do provide hot and tepid water dispensers on every floor. The iron and ironing boards are shared per floor so if you need to iron a lot of clothes, bring your own. Don't expect to watch good content on TV because they only have off-the-air broadcast and not receiving good signal either. Also, as of April 29th 2017, there is no spa. It has been closed down.

Have stayed here multiple times and always gave near perfect rating. One of the best budget hotels. However, recent stay in PJ Park (for 3 adults) was disappointing. Toilet could have been cleaner and very loud exhaust fan noise from eateries downstairs. You also get this really bad smell from the exhaust wind! My advice is to always avoid staying at rooms near back of hotel (I think mine was room 307. I assume all rooms with number _07 is rooms for 3 adults). Instead, pay a bit more and go for rooms for 4 adults even if your are travelling in groups of 3. Still, will definitely stay here again as so far only 1 miss, out of the many times I've stayed here.
