Best value for money and with the best view from the poolarea in Bangkok!”
You get welcomed by the nice staff and get a fast check in and access directly to free WiFi. The rooms are clean and the bed is nice to sleep in. The pool area is on the top level and the view is breathtaking, with the river of chao praya and all nice buildings in sight. This is the best view from a hotel in Bangkok! The pool area is a great place to hang out at, with great cocktails and really good food during the day and evening and soft relaxing music. On the same level you have a new gym that is nice. The breakfast is tasty and you have alot to choose between and really good alternatives for both western and Asian people. The staff in the Hotel is great and very service minded. The location is great in the middle of China town with alot of things to buy from very cheap things to gold, it is here people from other parts in Bangkok come and buy. You also have so much good food both in the Hotell and outside in restaurants and on the street, same thing here people from other parts of Bangkok is coming here to eat and enjoy the atmosphere. The hotel has shuttleservice to differ places but really it is easy to walk both to the mrt at the train station and the express ferry at the river or take a tuk tuk or taxi which the staff will help you with. In my opinion this is really the best value for a Hotel in Bangkok compered with one star up to 5 stars hotel.

Loved our room! ”
Bangkok is huge and with so many places to choose it was difficult but we were happy with our choice to stay in the heart of China Town. Walk out the door of hotel and spill out to the busy streets. The hotel has a lovely rooftop pool, bar restaurant, although it was a busy place we enjoyed our time there, nice easy escape from the buzzing streets. We booked a family room and it was massive, like three bathrooms and two bedrooms with living room and basic kitchen. After 20 days of traveling with our two grown children our three days in this suite enhanced our stay in Bangkok. It was the perfect place to spend our last few days of holiday. Although it seemed rather far from both the airports in the end it was a cheap taxi ride, I think less than $20 including the tolls (tip make sure you have cash to pay the tolls)

Good hotel in good location.”
Everythings inside the room was perfected. Only one thing need to change is the toom towels especially bath towels, most of the towels sideway was broken. Hotel staff very nice and helpful. Hotel located at the center of Chinatown famous street food stalls area, more than 80 street food stall and local restaurant selling tasty food and reasonable price. 7-11 just beside the hotel and money changer shops where opposite the hotel. Thai ancient massage parlor just around the corner and cos THB 200 per hour for foot or body massage, I think this is the cheapest thai ancient massage in Bangkok city. Royal Hotel free tuk tuk to Hua Lamphong MRT underground train station. From hotel ...... meter taxi cos about THB 100 to shopping mall or from shopping mall like Siam Paragon, Platinum Fashion Mall, MBK, Terminal 21 or CenterWorld. If the taxi not use meter it will cos THB 150, if more than THB 150, you have to negotiate with the driver. I will be back to Royal Hotel @ Chinatown again.

Two nights in Bangkok make a hard man humble”
Our short stay in the Hotel Royal Bangkok Chinatown was enhanced by excellent staff, great facilities and an unbeatable location.Everyone took care of us and although we only took breakfasts in the hotel,it was of a good standard catering for both the Western and the Oriental palate. We have stayed in many hotels in Bangkok and Hotel Royal Bangkok Chinatown is right up there.Only one small Criticism,In such a popular and famous area, why no picture postcards on sale for those of us who prefer to send these rather than email a picture with text? We will recommend your hotel to friends and hope to stay with you again in the future. Best regards,John & Sirirat McArdle.

Great views and location!”
Our stay here was great. The location of Hotel Royal is dead centre of China Town, rooms and facilities are clean and well maintained. Best part of the hotel and stay was the roof top bar and pool; The view of Bangkok from up there was like no other. Highly recommended.

Great for first time visitors at Bankok”
We are really glad we choose Hotel Royal. We just love to walk, and discover new places this way. Hotel was located in about 40 min walk from all points of interests. You always can take tuk tuk on way back:-). For our next stay we probably will choose backpacking district. But you just have to experiencing China Town at least once! Stuff was super nice, rooms clean but food in the restaurants rather not so good and expensive. But you have plenty of choices just steps away.

Really good value, great hotel”
We were very happy with the stay overall. Located in the middle of China Town the hotel is close to the real intense Bangkok. The room was spacious with a luxurious feel, bathroom was fresh. We especially enjoyed having access to our own minifridge. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooftop pool and poolbar (they serve a great hamburger) was really something extra. Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel ”
It’s a very nice hotel , clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. It smells so good in the hotel, modern and chic style. Rooftop pool is wonderful, you have an amazing view from up there. Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone that is looking for a more luxurious place at a decent price. The only downside for us was that the hotel is in China Town and there is not too many eating options other than authentic Chinese food which is mostly just fish and it smells really bad. We did not like the Chinese food and couldn’t find a Thai place there to eat ! I would recommend everyone to stay near Khaosan road because it just the best street to eat, party and very cheap.

Really nice hotel”
I've been there with my girlfriend. The hotel is really clean and the service is really good as well. The price for the hotel is reasonable, probably a little bit high for the laundry service, as outside you can find something really cheap with same quality. The position is great for people who wants go around China town, Silom and Kaosan, not really in our case which we spent everyday near Sumkumvit area where there are more night attractions.

A good stay.”
If you like staying in China Town while in Bangkok, this hotel is a good choice. There are plenty of food choices right outside the door and a 15 minute stroll will get you to the river ferry or the subway. The room and the breakfast were nice and the staff was friendly.

On the first look clean, on the second not so much”
We only spent one night there, the location is really good in the centre of Chinatown. The hotel is good, but the room smelled awfully! We had a room without windows...so we thought, they must have a really good ac, with good filters...but it smelled really strange, the hotel couldn't give us another room and we felt like the front desk manager was okay, like business okay, but we didn't feel overly welcome...no warm smile, etc. We booked a room with one bed (couple) but then the manager said, that they only had a room with seperate beds and that I could push them together..so I did and there was a lot of dirt under the bed + there was a long black hair in the welcome folder, some dirt in the corner... the room was superficially clean, but there were many small details, that showed me, that the staff or whoever, had not a good eye for cleaning details. We only paid 45Euro with breakfast, so the price was good. But if it really normally costs 160 Euros, I think it's overpriced... The hotel could be a perfect hotel, change the AC filter, put up some air refresher, clean 5 minutes more and clean the corners, under the bed (you can easily roll it), clean the bathroom table without streaks and don't hang up a very great led TV crooked. Only small changes, that would make the hotel perfect. The breakfast was by the way really nice . So if you get a good price, it's okay, but if you have to pay more, then get another hotel..or the hotel changes a little and takes some small efford to be really royal!

Great location, nice rooftop pooland bar”
Nice modern rooms, central china town location, however many rooms has no windows. In the booking our room did not say its without windows but hotel staff said all in this category has no window. Also they had many free rooms when we arrived earlier than check in time but with a small baby they still didn't wanted to let us in until 2 pm or charge almost one day more. Very bad costumer care. They not obligated of course let us in before but if I have free rooms and a family comes with a 2yr old boy will do my best to accommodate them earlier.

Top spot and great hotel.”
Have stayed in this part of Bangkok before but not at this hotel. WE had seen it on our recent trip and made a point to look inside and decided we would stay on our next visit to Bangkok. Booked 2 rooms a double and a twin for our 2 young adult children. Rooms were good with plenty of space and modern technology throughout the room from touch lighting pads to convenient hook up panel to conect computer or media players to TV. I love that convenience, not like many hotels that set their TV's so you can't plug anything and are force to watch free to air or pay for movies. Gym was good and rooftop had great view of the street was clean and great area to just laze about with the bar at your fingertips serving and food. really great hotel and will stay next time we're in Bangkok.

Great location, excellent service and good price.”
The hotel is in the centre of the China Town, 100 bath(3 dolars) by tuktuk or taxi(without taximeter) to the Grand Palace, the National museum etc. Great skybar and pool with view to the river and the buildings in Bangkok city.

Good hotel, excellent location”
After visiting Chinatown area every month 2 or 3 times (one night each time) for the last year for business purposes and staying in many different hotels in Chinatown or connecting districts (mostly budget around 1000 baht/night) we finally found the hotel we will use for the our trips to Bangkok. The price of this hotel is really value for money. Perfect beds. Very good bathroom. I like they have a real office chair in the room. The airco works perfect and without (disturbing) noises. The rooftop bar and pool is just perfect for a relaxing hour. The location is perfect. They have their own parking. Wifi is available, it was a little slow when I used it (but still ok) Only one small remark, the intercom system which is used by the house keeping service is too noisy. We enjoyed our stay and will come again.

Good choice”
Perfectly located on the main China Town street. Well organized and clean. Very good breakfasts and dinners. Nice pool and bar on the roof (14th floor, view to Bangkok, drinks, beer, ...). Stabile Wi-Fi, big enough safety box, fridge and all the other equipment working well. Worth recommending.
