I used both the Deluxe Twin (standalone) and the Double (connected container), and they were both really neat! The double room has the noise of the coin laundry running in the morning and people passing by, plus I felt a bit of shaking from the luggage being rolled while I was lying down, so I recommend the standalone type!!! Most accommodations in Miyakojima charge about 1,000 yen per night for parking, but R9 offers it for free! They also provided a voucher to exchange for breakfast, which I used well.
I thought it was very cost-effective. My only goal was to sleep comfortably, but I was very satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and the service of mineral water. Additionally, I received frozen food, and I could get hot coffee near the reception, so I had no trouble with breakfast. I would like to use it again.

I found the idea interesting as they have made a small complex with renovated cargo containers. Each one is self contained with a twin bed, desk and a standard prefab bathroom with a deep soaker tub, sink and Toto toilet. I went in December so my experience will maybe different in other months. Parking was free and I also received 3 'food vouchers'. Only one can be redeemed each day. The choices was a small frozen gratin, frozen spaghetti and onigiri. There was a few choices of each. You can also buy them if you want to. The other thing that was useful was that there is a laundry mat with a dual washer/dryer combo. Put in your clothes, pop in some coins and it will do everything for you; even add laundry detergent. The cost depends upon the weight of your dirty clothes (up to a maximum of 3kg) but the machine never displayed the weight, so you have to guess how much money to spend. I think mine was about 3kg so I put in the maximum amount which was 600 yen. It took 2 hours but also spent another 100 yen for another 30 minutes to dry as my jeans and socks did not feel completely dry by the end of the normal cycle. Other than that, there is other things you can rent from them which I did not need to. Also, not sure if the staff can speak English or not as I communicated to them in Japanese.

The hotel, utilizing containers, has a sense of cleanliness. It's small, but I think it's enough for one person. At check-in, you receive a snack voucher, so I chose frozen pasta, but they also have rice balls and other options. At the front desk, there are disposable chopsticks, toothbrushes, razors, etc., which you can pick up yourself and take to your room. I also think it's nice to have free coffee available. The staff were all friendly and responsive. There's a parking lot that is easy to park in.

“It was comfortable.”
Thank you for taking care of me for two nights. The room was perfectly sized for a solo traveler and it felt clean. For meals, in the morning, you can choose one frozen item like pasta or rice balls. There is also ice available. There are vending machines on the property, including ones that sell alcohol. On the first day, I walked to the town for dinner, which was a bit of a distance. On the second day, I borrowed a cooking set from the front desk and made dinner in the mini kitchen of my room using ingredients I bought. I had Miyako beef, sushi, and to top it off, Miyako soba. It was also fun to look for local ingredients at the supermarket. The front desk staff informed me that I could use the Sai coupon at local supermarkets during this time. Thank you. What I thought would be good to know before staying: It was sunny for all three days, but if it rains, moving to the front desk might be a bit challenging. It would be good if there was some kind of awning over the room door, although it might not look as nice. Also, for those like me who cooked in the room, it might be helpful to have an outdoor trash can as it gets hotter in the coming season (though I'm sure they would have collected it if asked). Overall, I think it's a great hotel with good cost performance. Thank you for your hospitality.
