Basic, comfortable hotel at a peaceful location”
we were a group of 2 adults and 2 senior citizens. the location is away from the main tourist beach so you will definitely need to hire a car if you plan on staying here. the plus side of this hotel is that the location is very peaceful with a lot of greenery around the area. there are many shops in the hotel's immediate vicinity shopping area called the "oriental village", including souvenir shops, restaurants, a food court, spa etc. at night time, after the shops and the cable car close, the area is very silent and pretty much deserted, so there is no hustle and bustle at night. however since the restaurants also close down around sunset so you will have to go for dinner elsewhere. there are a few indian / arab food outlets at a very short driving distance from the hotel which are reasonably good. this is a very nice location for families and honeymooning couples, however, if you are interested in nightlife, this place is not ideal for you. we booked our rooms without breakfast since the breakfast at the hotel is very basic. we used to go for breakfast to the nearby mutiara burau bay hotel and pay for the breakfast as outside guests. the breakfast at burau bay is priced around rm40 per head and is a pleasant experience with a decent variety of dishes including freshly baked bakery items. rooms at geopark hotel are neither small nor too spacious and are clean and comfortable with all basic facilities including a fridge and tea-making facilities. free wi-fi is available in the hotel lobby and there is ample parking space for vehicles of all guests.

Amazing hotel, with great staff, bad aircondition”
Langkawi is beautiful destination and this hotel too. It is simple but for the price you cannot expect more. Breakfast was simple, but nice too. Location is excellent within oriental village. Although all shops close around 7pm it is nice to walk around in the evening when visitors are gone and you can enjoy beautiful and quite atmosphere. Overall I do recommend this hotel for your stay in Langkawi. They also have shuttle bus to another resort where you can use their restaurant and pool (they have their own pool within a village too) but we walked there as it's not far (not far to the beach too, however you walk on a road). One thing I did not like was their aircondition system. It was situated over our bed and if you have it running all night you might get sick (as I did) - so we had to have aircondition off during a night and it was very warm in the room. Aircondition should be situated not the way it blows cold air to your face. This is however only thing I did not like. They also have free wifi internet in the lobby. I also have to say staff was very helpful. The area can be busy during a day so it is no problem to get a taxi. However it is not close to the main town (for shopping) but taxi costs around.

Nice resort hotel”
It located N-W of Langkawi. 25 min drive from airport and 45 min from Jetty (to Penang). Far from Kuah city. Nice hotel built inside Orient Village of Geopark. Cable car is one min walk. Up the hill, the scenery is beautiful. One of the tourist spot in Langkawi. There is food court and restaurant nearby. Orient village is carefully decorated. Place to relax. Riding school and 7 Wells Waterfall is within walking distance. There is a public beach, restaurants, supermarket and a Yacht Club within 3 min drive. Great to dine near the Yacht club and watch the sun set. Will stay there again.

we had 4 nights stay in geopark hotel. the staffs are very friendly and polite. they had provided us a lot of useful information and helped us to arrange for transportation with a good deal. as it is located in the geopark, the environment surrounding is very relaxing, leisure and fresh. shopping and dining were very convenience as there are shops, cafeteria and restaurants in the geopark. it doesn't have a private beach, but the hotel guests are allowed to access to the private beach at mutiara burau bay beach resort. overall, we enjoyed the stay!

2 Hotels for the price of 1”
Geopark hotel was chosen because of its proximity to Seven Wells Waterfall and the Langkawi Cablecar.Hotel is about a 30 minute easy walk and climb to the waterfall. Very pleasant. The hotel is literally right next to the cablecar ticket counter. Although looking for breakfast was an issue, lunch and dinner was not a problem, as there were quite a few outlets open at the Oriental Village complex surrounding the hotel. Try the delicious Rendang (meat curry) and rice at Oriental Cafe. It was just RM5.50 per set. For a tourist location, and the ambience, I think it was a very good deal. There is also a free shuttle to and from Geopark Hotel to the Mutiara. It appears that the shuttle leaves the Geopark at rather specific times, I think only 3 times a day, but you can get the Mutiara Receptionist to call the Geopark to have the shuttle take you back. I did try it, and a shuttle did appear about 10 minutes after the call. The bedroom is large enough, with a pleasant view of Mat Cincang hill. Bathroom is fine. However, the bedsheets were not 'smooth'. They seemed to be covered in little balls of thread. Perhaps they need new ones. But the price was good. About RM120 a night, without breakfast. So, it's a great base for a night, to explore the waterfall, the cablecar, and the Mutiara Bay area.

i enjoyed staying at the geopark hotel, it is very close to the cable car and the oriental village is very beautiful. the hotel staff if very nice and helpful. although the swimming pool is not big, it is very clean. if you need a nice pool or private beach, there is a free shuttle bus from the hotel to its sister resort (just 2 minutes drive)and you can enjoy the facilities there free of charge. for 3 stars price, you can enjoy 5 stars facilities, isn't it a good deal ! i will recomend this hotel.

Excellent service, clean rooms, great view”
our short stay was a wonderful one - in the afternoon upon checking in we managed to get to the sky bridge - exciting ride with the cable car- super panorama - all of the island and small islands in the andaman sea. had a fantastic early dinner - all reastaurants in the oriental village close by 7 pm and had a nice walk to the beach with million years old rocks - parts of the geopark and watched a great sunset. next day spent a fabulous day at the beach and the swimming pools of burdjaya resort - simply fantastic! luggage was kept upon checking out of the room in a storage place and in the late evening the reception called a cab and we left for the airport. everybody in the hotel was very nice. the room was large, with excellent bathroom and a view towards the cablecar

we enjoyed staying at GeoPark”
we stayed for one night and two whole days at GeoPark Hotel and I should give this place a high rating in terms of money value/location. people at the hotel were quite friendly and always replied to our needs. cable car, horse riding, beach - all these attractions are in close proximity of the hotel. The Oriental Village itself is very nice place to walk around.

A Great place for relaxing on a budget”
We had a lovely stay at Geopark Hotel for 5 nights. We thought the hotel was good value for what we paid on Agoda but we wouldn't have paid the full amount. We opted to not have breakfast due to the other bad reviews but the rooms have fridges so you can buy your own or go to some of the other restaurants. The pool at Geopark is ok but for a 10 minute walk you can use the facilitites at the neighbouring Burjaya Resort or Muriata Bay and they are fantastic! Very luxurious. This is not a place for partying as the whole Oriental Village shuts down at about 9pm but if you have a scooter or car there is plenty to do within a short drive. We would stay here again

Great To Stay”
a great exprience to stay in this hotel. the location is a bit far from kuah town but is easy to eccess to others place of interest. the hotel is located inside the oriental village which is a very relaxing place to visit, got many shops here, horse ride, elephant ride, cable car and tiger cafe all are just a step down from this hotel, we are very enjoy the environment here. this hotel looks small but the service is good, staff with smile,the outlook and the interior design of this hotel is nice. the important thing is the room is clean which i always concern about. sure i will stay in this hotel again if i got a chance to visit langkawi for next time.

Conveniently located among attractions”
Although quite removed from the busier shopping and sea-front districts of Langkawi Island, its main attraction is the Oriental Park in which it is located, souvehier shops within the tourist village, the famous Langkawi Cable-car which takes you up Gunung Macincang (Macincang mountain) for a 360 degree view of the Andaman Sea and half of Langkawi Island. Burau Bay beach is only a 10 minute walk away with watersport facilities operated by Berjaya Hotel, open to public hire as well. Shops and restaurants close early in the Oriental Villate (5-6pm) leaving very few options for food, supplies and taxis.

The room and bathroom was very good and clean. Big enough too.Location next to the cable car and very close to seven wells water falls. Very beautiful surroundings. Serene lake with deer and rabbit park. Oriental village setup was very colourful with boating, bridges, lake, fishes etc. Could get a multicusine choice near the hotel in the oriental village. Breakfast at hotel was a little basic and needs improvement. Beaches closeby were buray bay and berjaya. Was a little away from the town shopping area of kuah. But can get around anywhere easily if u have a rental car.There were elephant rides closeby. Surrounded by mountains and beautiful birds. Overall we liked everything about the hotel and our stay was excellent. It was indeed great value for money.

Exceptional”
Hotel is set in the oriental village, close to the cable car and other activities like tiger tiger. However, surrounding the oriental village is jungle so the location is lovely and relaxing. Just up the road from the waterfall which is great! You can hire a scooter from the hotel which can take you to lovely northern beaches. The staff are very helpful and the room is perfect. The shower was slightly weak but it didn't bother us

Perfect in limited budget”
wonderful small village cable car is within the dormitory it takes you 705 meter above sea level from there you can see a wonderful view of langkawi oriental village and beach near by. You can also go to the beach near it about 30 min walk from hotel. Or you can also rent a motorbike from there and roam around whole langkawi

Great place for relaxing”
Geopark Hotel was a lovely and relaxing place to stay for 5 nights. It was great value for money and the rooms cleaned every day. It is withing walking distance to the seven wells waterfall and opposite the cable car station to go up the mountain. There is a small pool at the hotel but it is free to use the neighbouring hotel facilities which are very luxurious with a beautiful private beach. This is a place for relaxing, not partying!We would definately stay here again.

Geopark Hotel is only around a 20 minute drive from the airport and 40 minutes to Kuah, the city centre. The hotel is also very decent at the price offered compared to some of its neighbours. Only thing, the "lake view" offered is actually just a little pond, and not a lake, but it is quite a pretty pond, to be fair. Conveniently located at Oriental Village where you can do some last minute souvenir shopping at decent prices. Good for kids, lots of little animals around and even a swimming pool.

Very nice and cool hotel , the room i was reserve is small but it fit my small familly , the location for the hotel is too cool for the people like quite and romance , the staff are too helpful and alawys smile , the is a free wireless Internet in the looby , the breakfast is good with many nice choices. Next time the Geopark Hotel will be my first choice to saty in. I advice all to try it. Thanks
