At first we were contemplating whether to stay here or somewhere nearer to Chenang Beach. But after 3 days of staying here, we couldn't think of any better place that is within the same price range. The check in process was smooth as we have made reservation from Agoda. We stayed at the second floor. The room was quite spacious with the fundamentals amenities are included such as towels and shampoos. We had to ask for the toothbrush and they gave it right away. The second night was odd because mosquitoes were flying in our room when we were trying to sleep. We called the hotel staff they came with the repellent to solve it immediately. Breakfast are provided for free but it is self-service. The breakfast comes with some eggs, bread and butter, coffee or tea. We had to make our own breakfast which was really nice, it gave a "homey" feel. They also provide water dispenser. Moreover they offer rent services either motorcycle or car. We rented the bike for RM50 a day to roam around.

Lovely place”
The room was comfortable and had everything you needed. Although the accommodation is a little far out from the beach and restaurants, it’s only a 15 minute walk and they also offer a free shuttle service at certain times which was helpful. All the staff here were really lovely and helpful too - would definitely stay here again :)

Kitchen available for guests usage with water, coffee, tea, bread and eggs included in the basic price (the breakfast wasn’t included in the price but you can eat without paying more). The facilities were clean as like the room. If you want room service you need to require in the reception. Free bus/van to go to the main beach. Staff very friendly and helpful.

We were two couples and had two bedroom apartment. Good location - out of all busy streets of Pantai Cenang. Many local style cheap restaurants are nearby, coin laundry etc. But count on that you have to call Grab or have scooter / car to get anywhere easily. One bedroom is big with direct access to the bathroom which is also quite spacious. The second bedroom is small and its bathroom is outside the room - and it is very tiny too. The pros are AC in both bedrooms, common "living room" with some seating and fan. The kitchen has no equipment, there is a fridge, but very small and significantly used, not very suitable for 4 people. The apartments was not very clean. A lot of dirt in the cabinets so you cannot put your stuff there. Construction works in the area wakes you up at around 8 a.m. Wifi was very poor there, count with using your data. All in all, you get what you pay for, I probably would not accommodate there again. 6,5/10

Very good value for money”
As a young couple staying at the Desa Terrace was ideal. Only a short trip from the airport and well sign posted once on Jalan Pentai Tengah, the location, a leisurely 15 minute walk to the beach is easily worth the savings. Staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Rooms were spacious and comfortable yet sparse, but when you get to Langkawi all you need is a clean place to shower and sleep and Desa Terrace certainly provides that. I couldn't recommend Desa Terrace highly enough for those looking for somewhere to stay within this budget range.

As i had reviewed most of the comments previously, this hotel indeed was kinda tricky to find. I managed to find it easily because i am quite familiar with Pulau Langkawi (travelled at least once a year to langkawi). The hotel/motel/whatsoever should build some significant notice board outside the junction, because the front part of the Desa Terrace is accommodated by some sort of construction vehicles and materials. Overall, it's near to Beach (driving in less than 5 minutes) and value for money. Nice staff, and we can even use their kitchen to cook something easy. Breakfast is not included, but available in a very cheap price (RM1.50) for one pack of rice vermicelli (or Beehoon/Bihun in local language) and Nasi Lemak. If you are looking for comfortable stay, I recommend Desa Terrace in Chenang because you spend low price on quite a big room (I was there with my colleague). Located in an off crowded area which you could find tranquility and comfort. Perfect spot if you posses your own transportation otherwise you would be sweating off to walk to the nearest beach. Staffs are professional (I prefer that than friendly but no expertise) in doing their job. I would rate 9/10 if they provide laundry service and cafeteria (still they have cold drinks you can buy from). Room service is provided. Do not expect good tv channels (I am okay with it) as this is a budget stay.

Clean, affordable hotel with great staff”
If you have a scooter it's the perfect place. It's a two minute (at most) drive away from the heart of Cenang beach. You can either rent a scooter from Desa Terrace or walk (15 min) into town to rent one there. There's little to no wifi in the room, but we enjoyed going to the common area with comfortable couches for the wifi. The manager even dropped us off at the airport on her day off! Very nice of her. The rest of the staff were very helpful and nice as well. Great place!

A pleasant stay with Desa Terrace”
DT located along Pantai Tengah. As long as you have a transport, it should be a problem to go around for food and shopping. The pros are the cheaper room rate,huge room, one toilet plus a bathroom and the friendliness of the staff. The cons are the basin is awkwardly located in the room beside the bed which is weird. The TV is located too high and is hard to view from the bed. Due to the limitation of the TV, I'm not able to plug in my external hdd to view the movies. The TV program is limited to local channel such as TV 1,2and 3. Overall, it worth the money you pay and there isn't any problem on basic amenity such as bed, bath and conformity.

I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived here and wish we had booked longer but we already had other plans in place. The room was large, clean, good airflow due to a window at one end and door opening out onto decking on the other side. No smell in the room. The bathroom and toilet were separate (although toilet didn't have a window). The wifi was good, staff were pleasant and helpful. It was much closer to the beach (panang chenang) than its looks on the map and also really close to the main strip where the bars and restaurants are. We had a scooter so it took only a few minutes to get there but you could walk it in maybe 20 mins. The location is sweet, the hotel is new and it was the best budget place we stayed at in Langkawi. Really good value for money, highly recommend it.

What I Like: 1) Very courteous staffs with smile, helpful and 24/7 reception service. 2) Spacious room window overlooking hills, paddy terrace and trees over the window thus natural lighting in the room in daylight. 3) Room facilities are sufficiently adequate. The management provides separate lavatory for shower and defecation with two indoor sandals. Aircond was working perfectly well during my stay and the WIFI connection is fairly well. The bed, mattress, duvet and pillow are comfy enough for me as a solo traveler. Water pressure is strong and hot shower is available. 4) No extra charge when I requested an extra pillow. Plus, there are lots of garment hooks installed on the wall so it is easy to put loose clothes or bag. There is a space to dry wet clothes beside the reception and outdoor sink for washing. 5) Common room is an open air lounge where you may chill, read newspaper or even have a BBQ. The management provides free breakfast but guests need to cook it by themselves (outdoor kitchen is available at the common room). What I Dislike: 1) WIFI connection is not really that strong in certain period, especially at night. 2) Housekeeping is based on request. So a bit frustrating if the guests happens to forget to put a request. However, good for those who prefers absolute privacy. 3) The room floor felt strangely sandy during my stay. The shower room was quite a sore sight. I noticed spots of mold on the tiles, corner of the tiles and shower bidet. I did not mentioned it to the staff due to the fact I was staying in a budget lodging. However, they might take some action though. 4) Water irrigation in the shower room is a complete mess. Water was slowly to recede with some tangible dirt on the shower floor. Summary: Will I come again? Not sure because I had a much better bargain with the same type of lodging just 10 minutes walk from this motel (I shall not mention the lodging name). I was unable to stay there due to full vacancy. Bare Necessities”
For it's price, I reckon Desa Terrace gives a ton of value. The establishment is located 15 minutes away from the airport. If you have a scooter or car, then it's really convenient; 20 to 30 minutes away from most attractions. With a glace at it's exterior, it doesn't have lots of facilities and aesthetics, but the water pressure, towels, and beds are great. Remember to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste or your partner will despise you in the morning. Overall, we had a decent roof over our heads and a comfortable bed to sleep in. I would definitely recommend this place to travelers who are looking for a decent value-for-money basic accommodation. Go for it.

Good Clean Rooms, Good Value”
Rooms are spacious enough, air conditioning worked fine. The view from the terrace was nice for watching sunsets and thunderstorms. When we stayed, the Wi-Fi was pretty terrible- constant connecting and disconnecting. Our shower stopped working part way through our stay. The staff couldnt fix it but offered us to change rooms, we didn't want to as this was inconvenient, so they let us use a shower in another room. The entrance is easy to find, with signs on the road.

The room itself was fine. It was quite a large room and the shower was hot. Everything was a nice standard of clean. The staff were generally friendly and helpful to us, they seemed to get more friendly as our stay progressed. The main problem with Desa Terrace was the location. It's a good 15 minute walk to the main street and the route follows the sewage system. The smell of sewage is everywhere - this isn't Desa Terraces fault but it should be documented. Desa Terrace do boast a restaurant which seems to serve a variation of Pot Noodles in different flavours. If you want to eat, you need to walk down the street that smells...
