Great base for a city break ”
Damas' location is excellent. Easy to get to from the North-South Highway. It's not far from the KL city centre so it's not too noisy and still easy to drive or get a Grab into KL. Our suite is comfortable and clean. I like that Damas is just opposite the Hartamas Shopping Centre and near Sri Hartamas and Mont Kiara. There are lots of shops, cafés and restaurants to go to. Very convenient. Our package didn't include breakfast but it's not a problem as we just walked to HSC to find a café.

I like my room, the staff are friendly as well, love the cleanliness too.. but I'm not sure why the rooms doesn't hv enough power socket.. I find it is very limited, not even at the makeup table.. and there's one day a guy I guess a pesticide staff open our unit door without informing who is he.. he did knock few times, me & my husband did shout "wait" as we were very comfortable in the room in short pants but the guy didn't wait for us to get ready & open the door for him.. he himself with spare keys open the door without our consent.. that was a very rude behaviour I guess.. overall, the room is nice..

I would certainly recommand Damas Suites to most travellers who are funding their own stay. If you were a buisness traveller on an expense account then… it may not make sense as its facilities is pretty utilitarian and does not come with the belts and whistles. Of must have stayed they on over 50 occasions over the last few years, never really having much to complain about apart from the fact that there is no application of guest history protocols. I had to change rooms several times as they did not pay attention to my previous booking requests of a non smoking room with a large bed. This problem seemed to have been solved lately as my preferences have been highlighted on Agoda’s booking platform. Another problem I encountered on my last visit was with the car parking. As per my usual visit, I had parked my car in the underground car park provided in the hotel building. No problems at all. The problem started when I checked out to leave and requested that they validate my credit card for the complimentary free parking. They then said that they could not as I had used my credit card to record my entry to the carpark. They repeatedly mentioned that I should have used my Touch N Go card. But I pointed out to them that the notice at the carpark entrance stated that to gain entry, one needed to present either a Credit or a Touch N Go card. No where did it state that hotel guests needed to use their Touch N Go card. It took much discussion between the hotel staff and the carpark operator to facilitate my exit as I did not want to present my Credit Card to exit, as it meant that I would be charged inflated car parking charges. After a one and a half hour set of discussions, they finally agreed to only charge me the weekend rate of RM3.50 per day in cash. I agreed to this as it was a minor sum to pay to avoid a much longer detention.

Happy to have gotten a room deal via Agoda - for the price paid am definitely happy with the accommodation, cleanliness and free parking! Would come back again if am able to get the same deals :) However, do bear in mind the development is slightly on the older side and may be confusing as there are different blocks. Both the security guards team and the hotel staff were super friendly, big thanks to them especially Ms. Alia at the front desk! Parking wise - best to park within Plaza Damas 3 @ P2/B2 as exiting the car park could be confusing from P1/B1. Parking is cashless but you are able to validate your Touch n Go at the reception desk. Room wise - quite a large space with a sizeable balcony. Would be great if they could add in patio furniture to the balcony space so guests can utilise this area more. Bed, linens and towels were clean. Do note that the bathroom shower only comes with half a glass partition only so the bathroom itself is easily wet. Appliances wise - room details stated microwave and washing machine (would have been great to have on hand!) but the room did not have any such appliances. Air conditioning was fully functioning, so was all the lighting and most importantly the water heater. Would be great if the hotel could look into slight improvements such as more plug points, balcony furniture and carpeting or rugs. Overall had a good stay, thank you Damas Suites & Residences Kuala Lumpur!
Quiet Escape in KL”
If you are looking for quiet and quick escape in KL with your family here is the place. The property is apartment type. So dont expect that to be like a hotel. Park your car at the lobby to check in (dont unload your luggage yet!). after you got the key then carefully follow the instruction to park near your unit.,then only you unload your luggage there. Everytime you want to drive out your car, you have to walk to the receptionist building to validate your free TnG parking for free parking. when I was there, first day I don't get buffet breakfast because the occupancy was low, but what they served is enough. the nasi lemak sambal was extremely spicy. Overall I had a pleasant staycation with my family.
