"Whilst expensive (all hostels in Wanaka are overpriced in fairness), this hostel is definitely worth staying at. In terms of the dorm rooms, the beds are very comfy, extra thick blankets are provided if you get cold, most rooms have shelves for backpacks to save floorspace, the rooms and bathrooms are clean and the cleaning staff are lovely. The facilities at the hostel are also really good. The kitchen is huge and has everything you could need, down to baking equipment! The dining area is lovely - really cosy with plenty of tables. All the shared lounge/relaxing spaces are brilliant; they have a woodburner surrounded by comfy, clean sofas, and they also have a huge TV room where they screen films (cinema style) or you can play DVDS on the TV. They have loads of information about activities in Wanaka, and things to do all around New Zealand. Compared to the other hostels I've stayed at in Wanaka, this is the one I would recommend most highly. "

"Wanaka was a great place. Had our first fish and chips in New Zealand. Motel was easy to find with the help of our trusty rental GPS navigator. Had a unit besides the reception. It was a Twin Room. Receptionist was friendly. All motel/hotel in New Zealand, I think provides milk. And this motel was no exception. Milk was great. Bed was a bit to tad on the soft side. Visited puzzling world when we were there. Motel has internet and our unit a microwave oven."

"I have been to few Wyndham's and finding one at Wanaka was a nice surprise, much like the small resort town of Wanaka itself, its like a hidden treasure . The rooms were spacious, well managed and clean. The rooms were equipped with everything that one can imagine that is requiruired for a stay. The staff was outstanding . Special mention to the lady at the front desk and the bartender - Bruno (if I recollect his name correctly). They are knowledgeable about the place and take a lot of pride in the work that theydo & the city that they represent. The bar didnt have meny options but for what they offer, they do it well. I had a vegetarian pizza along with my drinks and it was fantastic. Its a pity that I took Wanaka as a stopover and could not spend more than a day here. But If I would ever come to this town again, there is no doubt in my mind that I am heading to Wyndham. "
