Wanaka hotels & accommodations

Edgewater is the most beautiful hotel we stayed in New Zealand, Situated conveniently around Lake Wanaka it has one of the best facilities to vouch for. The lakeside room have specatacular view of lake and the balcony opens up into the garden area around the lake. The rooms are big and spacious with great kitchen, dining and sitting area. The service is prompt and we h...

Loved our stay here at the Wanaka Hotel although it was just a night stay. The room was clean and cozy and I could step out of our room to an amazing view of Wanaka town. Everything was just within our walking distance and we decided to take a cool, breezy stroll along the main street. Parking is convenient as well. Not exactly the cheapest place but it was well worth ...

It one of the best places we stayed in New Zealand. Close to Wanaka town and a few attractions. Room is clean and nice (we also got a free upgrade!), with very good facilities, not to mention the free welcoming gift. They can help you book activities as well. Overall it’s much beyond our expectations.

Whilst expensive (all hostels in Wanaka are overpriced in fairness), this hostel is definitely worth staying at. In terms of the dorm rooms, the beds are very comfy, extra thick blankets are provided if you get cold, most rooms have shelves for backpacks to save floorspace, the rooms and bathrooms are clean and the cleaning staff are lovely. The facilities at the hoste...

Motel is located along the highway into Wanaka from Cardrona. Drive into wanaka takes only 5 mins. Quiet though close proximity to main road. A couple of nice restaurants around the area within walking distance. Room was kept immaculately clean and tidy everyday with everything kept back to its original place. Washer and dryer are coin-operated in the laundry room. Mat...

Highly recomend it, we enjoyed our stay in the motel, great large studio room with lovely little kitchennet and good size bathroom. Rooms were cleaned and given freash towels on daily. Its a Polish family run motel, can't beet it, very welcoming and warm. This motel is in the absolutely best location close by to lake Wanaka, shops and even supermarket across the road. ...

I stayed one night in family room. Our room has 2 floors in this room. One queen bed and single bed is on the mezzanine floor and another queen bed is on the lower floor. Both floors has an amazing view for hawea lake, but the balcony is on the lower floor. Balcony has a sitting area to relax also. All furnitures are new and clean. No lounge, no kitchen, and no dining ...

Stayed here 1 night for holiday. I really regret it because Wanaka so beautiful you need at least 2 nights to get around it. Lakeview motel is a lovely place to stay in Wanaka. Its got a nice view to Lake Wanaka, and morning time.... the view is just mesmerizing. Really wished to stay longer. The room is spacious, adequate heating and just lovely and clean. I travel 1...

We had to change booking at the last minute as one of our Tours were changed...Owner was very obliging and kindly helped us out...Room was large very clean and we enjoyed our stay...In a really good location with all the desired amenities close at hand...Thoroughly recommend Lake Wanaka Lodge.

we very much enjoyed our stay at the bella vista in wanaka. it is only 1 block away from lake wanaka. the owner is super nice and informative. he gave us tons of free guides, maps, and advice, in addition to a room on the 2nd level with amazing views of the lake and mountains! definitely would stay here again. very clean and cozy, and comes with a fridge, tv, kettle, a...

We asked for the front block facing the lake. The master room and the living room have almost full height windows facing direct to the lake. The Motel is located right at the lake side waterfront. The in-room facilities are very new. Though the room rate is not cheap but I think it’s reasonably priced.

Wanaka was a great place. Had our first fish and chips in New Zealand. Motel was easy to find with the help of our trusty rental GPS navigator. Had a unit besides the reception. It was a Twin Room. Receptionist was friendly. All motel/hotel in New Zealand, I think provides milk. And this motel was no exception. Milk was great. Bed was a bit to tad on the soft side. Vis...

The three bedroom house is newly renovated with cozy environment and modern design. The facilities in the house are new and great. It was the best stay we had in New Zealand and is highly recommended place to stay in Wanaka! We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back again 👍.

They have most of room can stay up to 4 or 5 people. The bath room and toile are shared for the whole floor of 10 rooms. You need to use before crowd time. The best thing is the location, workable distance to Roy bay of lake Wanaka. Price is higher than other city.

We arrived late at the hotel (around midnight) but the hotel left us a clear note for the room check-in which was great. The room itself was very cosy, modern and comfortable - we were very pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The hotel is walk-able distance from the main street and is right across from the lake Wanaka! The best part of the hotel is the staff who a...

We enjoyed our stay immensely. We found Chris and Lin to be great hosts. The breakfast was amazing. Not sure what time Lin rose, but there was freshly baked bread and muffins from the oven when we arrived at the breakfast table, along with delicious seasonal fruit from Cromwell. The friendliness - the invite to watch the Australian Open, and the return visit to retriev...

This accommodation is located in quiet residential area, a short drive to town center and lake wanaka. The unit was clean, equipped with hot plate for cooking, microwave, fridge and books if you would like to read. Owners were welcoming and provided us with information for wanaka.

This was my favourite place. We had done a lot of hotels and this was such a refreshing change. The hosts Trish John and Gem are delightful. They go over and above! The location is just lovely and it was so peaceful. John helped plan out our wineries the next day which really helped. I'd recommend at least two nights here to relax and enjo wanaka

The room was very comfortable. Nice fireplace with lots of reading material. Very friendly and hospitable hostesses. House was close to town so you could walk everywhere. Hostesses knew many of the activity organizers so to keep you informed of last minute weather changers or deals .

Hotels in New Zealand are priced similarly depending on the category so it took us quite awhile and a leap of faith to select Fairway Motels and was it worth it. For the budget conscious, the room came fully equipped with a stove, pots and pans that allowed us to do our cooking and it was so spacious for the two of us. We really enjoyed our stay here despite it being a...

I have been to few Wyndham's and finding one at Wanaka was a nice surprise, much like the small resort town of Wanaka itself, its like a hidden treasure . The rooms were spacious, well managed and clean. The rooms were equipped with everything that one can imagine that is requiruired for a stay. The staff was outstanding . Special mention to the lady at the front desk ...

Simply divine! This was by far the best accommodations we experienced in our 10 days of travel throughout the South Island. We tried many different types including an upscale B&B, motels, a private farm house etc. but the Wanaka Luxury Apartment was our favorite. It truly is luxurious and excellent value for the money. We were so pleased with the arrangement (and ...

Thanks to both staff who went well and above the managers duties whilst we stayed at the clearbrook nothing was too much bother. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The place is beautiful and it exudes a relax ambiance that put you at ease immediately. I would rate the room (bed, toilets, toiletries, etc) equivalent to a 5 star hotel. The room is facing a beautiful garden (with a great view of the mountains), fireplace and a bench. There is also an outdoor jacuzzi where you can chill out in the middle of nature. The estate is ...

Needs a nice slow cruise to go up and down the lake, so can get a wonderful look around this beautiful part of NZ.
I'VE STAYED IN WANAKA FOR A HOLIDAY FOR THE LAST FIVE YEARS, & IT HAS NEVER LET US DOWN. THE SCENERY, THE SKIING, THE FOOD, THE PUBS, ARE ALWAYS FANTASTIC, & THE PEOPLE IN THE TOWN ARE ALWAYS FRIENDLY & WILLING TO HELP.
As attractive as Queenstown but a lot quieter and quainter. The peaceful serenity of the town is its attraction.
Lovely little town w/ nice shopping and dining options. We mainly just relaxed here at the end of a long vacation, but it seemed like a great spot for water activities in summer and skiing in the winter.
Wanaka is a lovely quiet peaceful environment, with wonderful views and scenery. There is a lot of variation from sightseeing around the vineyards, boating, skiing, etc, to just relaxing and 'soaking' up the tranquility & vistas.
It is a smaller and MUCH quieter version of Queenstown. But Wanaka has the better ski slopes....Cordova was awesome.
Beautiful place, even if you aren't snowboarding the drive up to trebly done is awesome. Mt Aspiring national park is beautiful and cardrona is a fun and friendly mountain to ski or board.
The lake is beautiful, there is a curry shop at the town center called sagoon curry and its slogan is "best curry in a hurry".
