Tauranga hotels & accommodations

We used this hotel for our wedding night which had originally been planned for a Friday. But due to inclement weather being forecast for the Friday we decided to bring the wedding forward to the Tuesday. Both the hotel and Agoda responded to the change of booking without any issues. The room was clean, well equipped, spacious and with a great dual aspect view over the ...

This is great hotel to stay at when visiting Tauranga. It is centrally located, but most of all it is a spacious and comfortable hotel. The bed we had was extremely comfortable, and each morning we woke well rested and ready for the day. There is secure off street parking, which is a bonus. The management are friendly and on the ball. We had a fire alarm go off while w...

I was leery. It looks like a motel. Not the best connotation in the US. I did not know the Tauranga area. However, I would definitely recommend this place. Rooms are large and bathrooms great. It is clean and clearly redone . not too long ago and kept up. Tiny pool is actually great to lay out at as no one around. Mt Maunganui is alive and the hike up the mount...

The new owners, Kedy and Alex, were so happy to greet us and tried extremely hard to please us, and they did just that. Our room was booked last minute and the owner told us it was a warm room, but that was the hottest room in the house due to its location. The fan helped a lot. The breakfast was great. Hot scrambled or fried eggs, bacon, ham, sausages, cereal, yogurt...

was not what I expected!! it was lovely.. room was a perfect size lovely little outdoor seating area bathroom looked like it has just been upgraded and the staff member who served me was brilliant!! it is also located so close to town and the beach. I will definitely be booking here again over the summer months

The room was spacious, well appointed and very clean! The electric blankets were lovely and the kids got great use out of the heated pool even though it was the middle of winter! Lovely friendly hosts and right next door to two shopping complexes! If I needed to stay in Tauranga/Mt Maunganui again I would definitely return!

Anchorage Apartments are in a fantastic location, have great facilities with all that you could need for a wonderful stay. You are able to walk to wonderful shopping, restaurants, cafes, beaches and thermal pools. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Apartment was very clean and well appointed.

We had such a wonderful stay here. The place is luxurious and deserves five stars in all categories. However, more importantly, Kay is such a gracious hostess. Her simple but elegant cooking won our hearts. And not to forget Freddie, we felt sad leaving him and I'm sure he was sad as well, seeing us saying goodbye. If you want to have a truly romantic getaway in a luxu...

The motel is about 5 minutes walk from the centre of Tauranga. We had a one bedroom apartment on the ground floor, it had plenty of room and there was even a lovely small garden we could use with a picnic bench. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room and motel area were kept very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Just stopped for the night in Tauranga heading north, had a very enjoyable nights stay at Tuscan Retreat. Our hostess Carol was wonderful, friendly and accommodating and provided us with a delicious home cooked brekky before our onward journey. Highly recommended for an enjoyable stay.

Close to Manabus stop which brings you to Auckland/ Rotorua... Loca urban bus to Tauranga also convenient. Walkable to Mt Muanganui and beach. No supermarket in walking distance but cafe and McDonalds nearby. Rooms are fine though a bit small. A toilet and bathroom. Hostel is well looked after, including behaviour of guests (children). Owner is friendly and helpful.

Host were super nice they already heat up the room before we arrived and also they had shampoo and soap available too not a lot of motels now a days have that. Cheap places to stay in Tauranga

Kind staff and owners. Hostel is basically a guy's house with a bunch of small container units he built in the backyard and turned into rooms. Campers with tents use the area too. Clean rooms, kitchen, and bathrooms. If you are gonna do a dolphin cruise book it through them to save some money.

Had a lovely stay here and even received a free upgrade which was an unexpected surprise! The weather was a little unforgiving that weekend but the pleasant room and fantastic staff made up for it. This place was comfortable for 1 night and we received an upgrade, which was a nice gesture. Location is ok, not the centre of town but near some shops and main roads. The price I paid was more than reasonable. The rooms are a bit dated and a dusty/musty - they need a good airing and maybe new carpets.

We are really impressed with the locality and the convenience of the apartments. We were upgraded to a two bedroom unit which gave us more space to enjoy the place. The bathroom probably needs renovating in the near future which would really set it off well. We are looking forward to going back for the odd weekend and again for another new year rest.

We found the room to be a great size with a kitchenette, large bathroom with both a shower and bath. Jo and Sam were excellent hosts and went well beyond expectations with their service and hospitality. The views over Mt Maunganui and the port are stunning. The pool was warm and great for a swim in the afternoons. Even being able to choose what I wanted to view on Netflix in Jo and Sam's lounge was above what I expected. Very accessible to all Tauranga has to offer.
