"My husband and I stayed at this beautiful resort for our honeymoon. We stayed in a Garden View Villa for 4 nights. It was the most beautiful resort we had ever been to. The beach was prestine, the villa was perfection, and the staff were the most wonderful people. Our villa Butler was extremely accommodating and always kept an eye out for us, from a surprise massage with champagne upon arrival, to a sweet gift at the end. Tangalle is a secluded area in the south of Sri Lanka, tourist destinations such as Galle or national parks can be a good 2-3 hour drive away. But if you are looking for a hidden gem to relax and unwind at, the Anantara is heavenly. "

"This Hotel offered an very good price/value for us, as it comes with a great pool and we got a very spacious family room. Compared to some of the other places we saw in tangalle (some even for a very much higher price!) it is clean and overall in a good condition. Many rooms have a view on the ocean. However, you can get different type of accomodation in Nuga Eden and even a tree house! The Staff is very friendly and welcome and seems not look just for a another ectra tip. The restaurant is good and it is nice to have dinner close to the pool with view on the ocean. On the beach (which is not directly reachable) there are 2 good restaurants, but swimming is surly only for excellent swimmers, as on most places in Tangalle.Tangalle city is not to far away (maybe 5 min with a TucTuc ~150SLR). Overall one of the best stays we had in Sri Lanka."

"Rooms are spacious and overall the hotel is clean and friendly though nothing overly memorable. But I ut of all the friendly hotel staff we met in Sri Lanka the guys at Sole Luna were among the friendliest and most helpful. Didn’t go to the beach just across the road but found some other lovely beaches close by and generally enjoyed the Tangalle area a lot."

"Wonderful, private setting down small drive-way. We stayed in the villa with attic (family of 3) which was spacious and very luxurious. Very comfortable bed and crisp, white linen and towels. A very short walk to the beach through the hotel grounds (palm trees, peacocks, squirrels!). The beach was stunning, not long but very clean and big surf. No charge for loungers / umbrellas which was fantastic as they were essential. Hotel had a faultless breakfast and wonderful, caring staff. We had dinner every night in the restaurant by the pool. Traditional Sri Lankan as well as something for our 10 year old boy who doesn't like curry! Order your actual meal before 6.30 or you will wait a long time for your food if you just turn up. It took us 2 nights to figure this system out! Lovely choice of salads too. Beautiful, clean pool and lots of loungers and shade areas. We couldn't fault this place which was a treat at the end of our 3 1/2 travels around Sri Lanka. It was money worth spending, we enjoyed every minute and didn't want to leave! Would highly recommend."
