Ohakune hotels & accommodations

The Powderhorn Chateau was a delightful surprise. The Hotel is in a Beautiful Setting, very close to the quaint "old" part of Ohakune by the railway and at the foot of the road to the mountain. The alpine architecture of the Hotel is superb. The room was spacious with a lovely view across to a stream and the bed extremely comfortable. There were tea and coffee maki...

Ohakune is not the most exciting place - especially in bad weather. LKNZ Lodge is a really lovely motel and was a nixe hidyhole from the wind and rain! Our room was upstairs and was cosy and clean. We didn't use the hot tub but had we stayed longer (and had there not been a cyclone) we would certainly have hopped in! We had a nice view off the outside landing up to th...

After a long hot day driving, it was great to check-in quickly and relax in the garden area with a cool drink from the bar. The hotel has a pleasant rural outlook and our room was superb being over two floors with a very comfortable bedroom upstairs and lounge area below. A ten minute walk takes you to the town centre where there are numerous restaurants, bars and a ...

The room was clean, new and comfortable. The hotel is located in a quiet area near the center. But better than the room itself was the woman who attended us. She booked us the bus for the Tongariro crossing and came at 7am to tell us that the bus had been cancelled because of bad weather. She was so dissapointed at this that she booked us for the next day (our check ou...

overall this is a great affordable place to stay...there was no one at the reception when we got there but was greeted by a very friendly lady who helped us check in (she had to ring the boss to ask which room we were booked in though on her cell)...so to your kind boss...she deserves a raise ^^...we thought that the parking was small as we had a bigger/longer car...wa...

My husband and I stopped over at Snowy Waters after our Waitomo Glow Worm cave and en route to Wellington. We met the in-charge Cheryl who showed us to our room. The room was clean and decent. In the evening, we had a chat with Cheryl who found out that we were a honeymooning couple. Soon after, we found a tray of sweets and biscuits complimentary to us. We were very ...

- Andre and Songja were super nice and took very good care of us. - The room was nice and comfortable with all you needed. - Added few dollars more and you can enjoy a nice breakfast which was worth for it, I loved the eggs so much. - The environment was very beautiful and natural although the weather was not good during our stay.

We had a perfect stay at Ossies Chalets. The chalet was very spacious and comfortable in a lovely garden setting overlooking a stream. Cooking facilities were very good and we had the use of the bbq in the motel grounds. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
