"Ohakune is not the most exciting place - especially in bad weather. LKNZ Lodge is a really lovely motel and was a nixe hidyhole from the wind and rain! Our room was upstairs and was cosy and clean. We didn't use the hot tub but had we stayed longer (and had there not been a cyclone) we would certainly have hopped in! We had a nice view off the outside landing up to the mountains - no doubt spectacular in ski season. Should we find ourselves in this part of the world again I would hesitate to stay here."
