New Plymouth hotels & places to stay

Always stayed here when we come to New Plymouth. It has a spa pool and probably one of the better hotel in New Plymouth. Room is huge as we had the family room.

We arrived late on our check in date and they have the person in charge to wait for us even though the reception was closed. The room we got have a complete mini kitchen with a dishwasher as well. We found the owners to be very friendly, chatting away with us while booking in which, after hours in a car, was refreshing and rewarding. The room is clean and immaculately presented. Loved staying here with my bestie (whose pretty fussy). Apart from the distance from town (on foot as there are no buses) it was still a great place to stay. Staff were accessible at all hours via conferencing which was different but not a bad experience at all. Would def. stay again if I had private transport. Excellent facilities and super spacious and clean too.

Lyn was amazing - unit was very clean and spacious. Kitchen has everything!, Shower is amazing and has a bath to soak in. Has the most amazing creek with eels to feed! Better than any inner city hotel if your travelling with kids :-)

We were upgraded to a Presidential Suite which we really appreciate very well. The staffs are very accommodating. Though the room is not that clean (a bit dusty), we had a great time especially since we have our baby with us. Definitely staying in this hotel when we come back to New Plymouth for vacation.

Once you arrive New Plymouth you can pick up a rental car at airport and then drive to hotel. The hotel has free car park for the guest. Lovely place to spend the night! Was upgraded to a bigger room but the ceiling was peeling and yellowish so didn't really felt comfortable just looking at it while sleeping. This was a well appointed, spotlessly clean motel with very friendly staff. We were granted a late check out with no fuss at all. Shower was fantastic and the bed comfortable. It is about a 5min drive into the center of New Plymouth so very close to everything. We would definitely stay here again.

My family of 6 adults and 1 child needed a night's stay at New Plymouth. It was cozy enough and clean as well. Location was quite central and very near to Taranaki Volcano and Pukekura Park. The staff was helpful and friendly too. Very value for money.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The place was clean, warm and cosy. Lovely location with great outlook. I certainly will be back. The only negative aspect has been the driving direction on the hostels website. Coming from the North. The hostel is by far easier to find by just following a basic New Plymouth road map than the route described on the hostels website.

Due to jetlag after a long, long journey we turned up on the wrong day. The hosts went out of their way to accommodate us and we liked it so much we stayed an extra night.

Just Gorgeous. Host and Hostess are so kind and friendly. Our room with private bathroom is so comfortable and clean. Mini kitchen is very helpful. What is more, spa in the garden is wonderful. Spacious room, great location close to the coastal walk and the wind wand, plenty of restaurant and shops around. The Salt restaurant on the first floor is one of the best in New Plymouth. Trust me, I've been around. Only downside, parking space can be a bit of a challenge if you come back late.

Awesomely comfortable bed, hostes were extremely accomodating and pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Couldn't have asked for more.

I had a really wonderful time staying at this B&B! The bed was so comfortable, there was good breakfast (Sausages, eggs, cereals), and you can have all the coffee, & tea all you want all day long! The stay at this home was delightful. Very nice room and bathroom, and the home is located in lovely rural surrounds. Although it is a bit difficult to find the home and it is a bit far out of town. The hosts were very gracious and welcoming. Unfortunately there is no wifi or iron in the room. But everything else is is perfect including free breakfast.

For me, the best value for money stay in New Plymouth. You can tell there is so much thought and detail put in to the hotel through the furnishings, the decor, and each room.
