Munich hotels & accommodations

At first we were a little hesitant about the hotel as the hallways looked dark and dated and could use a coat of fresh paint. However, the room was very clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was good. While it was not right in the middle of the crowds, it was only 10-15 minute walk away from all major attractions (Marienplatz, cathedrals, open air market) AN...

Dear Sir/Madam I have recently stayed at the Novum Hotel in Munich Am Hauptbahnhof from 8 July 2017 - 18 July 2017. I stayed there with my girlfriend in one of the comfort double rooms. I am pleased to say that we enjoyed our time there so much. The hotel room was absolutely beautiful and the view was stunning. The central location allowed us so much freedom and the st...

We booked this hotel last minute when we accidentally reached Munich Station instead of Fussen (we missed to alight at the correct station). The hotel is practically 3-min walk from Munchen (Munich) Central Station and you could not ask for more. Although we felt our lives where in danger as soon as we came out of the train station coz most of the people outside (well ...

Wonderful...

I stayed at this Hotel for One night. The value of my experience for the money I spent for a single room was excellent. The room was really tiny but it was fine for a shower and a sleep, which was the initial purpose of booking it anyways, so I didn't bother. The room itself was really clean (especially the bathroom was amazing) and comfortable. As a solo traveler, fir...

I am quite sure we got upgraded because we booked Comfort rooms online, but our room doors say Executive Floor... Anyways, we got a very good deal for the rooms with breakfast. First, the location. If it had been walkable from the main station, it would have meant easier transfers as we arrived in & left Munich by trains. This hotel was almost across the road from S...

We got a superior room for 3 nights stay in Munich. The room is larger than expected and with modern setting. The bathroom is huge equipped with a bath tub as well. You get a good soak after a tiring day. The staffs are really friendly and helpful. The room doesn’t have iron and heater. We requested at the reception, they have got everything you need, just have to ask....

My wife and I had some trouble finding accommodations in Munich at first. Hotels and airbnbs are very expensive in Munich, but we were very fortunate to have found the King's Hotel First Class. It's very reasonably priced, a 10-15 minute walk from Old Town, and our room was spectacular. It was very clean, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. It had the feel of a...

The hotel is on the expensive side compare to what other hotels around Munich is offering. However, it is great for short stay and guests arriving/departing on trains. The hotel is right next door to Munich HBF, great for day tripping around Munich using trains and trams. All staff were friendly and willing to assist or give ideas on where to visit in Munich. The "We...

The place was beautiful. It was located in the historic area of Munich near the Glockenspiel as well as the shopping area. The staff servic was outstanding. We checked out very early in the morning. As there were no porters around, the front desk staff, Antonia, collected our 8 heavy suitcases from our rooms and brought them to our car. The only regret we had was tha...

The Eurostars Book Hotel is very new and has a very modern style. Rooms are not large but very comfortable and the sound insulations is excellent. The breakfast is great but showed the influence of the spanish owner/operator company as the choice of bread was disappointing, considering the diversity of german bread. The hotel is only 3 walking minutes from the ...

The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from platform 28-30 of Munich HBF. You could take S1 from Munich HBF to the airport, which is a 40 minutes ride. Being next to Munich HBF allows guests easy access to anywhere in Munich, Germany or even train services to other European countries. Room size is huge with good buffet breakfast. WIFI connection is also strong in the room....

We had a great stay at the Platz hotel. The hotel maintains a really hugh standard and staff are particularly good, plus it's nice to have a touch of Bavarian hospitality in Munich. Great breakfast, good service and very well appointed rooms. While the location is fantastic, it is next to the Hofbräuhaus and nights can be a little noisy

The hotel is conveniently located 5 mins walk to the Munich Main Train Station (Huftbahnhof). Apart from easy connections to nearby cities, you can also travel to Salzburg using the Full Day ‘Bayern’ Train Ticket for up to 5 persons including kids below 14. Plenty of takeaway food shops and supermarket (closes at 11pm)at basement level to get drinks and Asian takeaway ...

As other reviewers have pointed out, the hotel's location is fantastic: right in the middle of the central district, 5 minutes walking distance to Marienplatz and the shopping, museum, parks, and restaurant areas. And literally across the street from the Viktualenmarkt, the central market place for Munich residents with many stalls, kiosks, shops, sitdown eating place...

my wife and i very much enjoyed our stay in the hotel for two nights. the room is clean, spacious and modern. we do not have any complain overall. breakfast is very good and surprisingly they had live music (violin and guitar) so we did enjoy a great moment at the breakfast time. if we have to be picky, the only downside is the swimming pool is relatively small, ...

Its was amazing when I entered the hotel....its was so beautiful with classic decoration, the room is big, clean, elegant. And I love the breakfast very much, the service is good. If you have a car, you can have free parking infront of the hotel. I will re-book the hotel if I have a chance to Munich again.

Location: 5 mins walking from Munich main train station front door Food: Various restaurants and Fast chain food stores closed by. Room Comfort: Best as a 4-Star Hotel. Mini-bar free refill everyday during the time we stayed. Even the standard is very roomy. Room is very clean and the Housekeeping staff is very nice and responsible. Staff performace: Staff is frie...

We was surprised by the quality of the hotel family rooms, great value for money. Basic but simply, modern and having great storage space. Very clean and daily room service. WiFi is efficient. Above all, the receptionists were really friendly and helpful. Thumbs up and recommending for family.

room is clean but small, price i paid includes breakfast and free wifi defintely value for money. hotel is near u-bahn around 10 minutes walk, very convenience. hotel located on the small street, which is nice and quiet in the night. i will stay again next time travel to munich. breakfast were very delicious and good combination.

we have stayed several nights at smart stay hotel schweiz. at first we had some trouble to locate the nearest garage parking, but when we found it we were really satisfied. the hotel offers a special discount for the parking, for the hotel guests it costs 10 eur for 24 hours, which is more than 50% discount from the regular price. the rooms at the smart stay hotel schw...

This time we stayed in Le Meridien for business trip in Munich and it turned out to be an excellent experience. Very convenient, just next to train station and subway within 1 min walk. very cool bar at the lobby as well. Overall this hotel is very worth the money if you're looking for a nice hotel to stay in Munich.

Haus International Hostel is a convenient hostel located just 3 stops away from Munich Hauptbahnhof. The only thing that i didn't like about this hostel is when i couldn't get hot water out of the tap, it worked the night before but i couldnt get any warm water in the morning. Other than that, this hostel is good for people who just want a place to sleep over at an aff...

This has got to be the place to stay - the germans have certainly found it. Real Munich, on the edge of Schwabing, adjacent to University, a block from the galleries, easy walking distance to Marienplatz. Parking in the next block of Tuerkenstr. is fine too. Good cafes of many styles close-by. Excellent breakfast, espresso machine even! Staff very accommodating even t...

Spent at few Hotels in Munich however Schiller 5 Hotel was the best Hotel I have stayed in Munich. It's located right at Haufbahnhof Central Station walking distance. The Hotel had great design and I loved every Moring Breakfast. The Owner of the Hotel would come and say hello to all the hotel guest and serve Coffee and was very welcoming :) I visit Munich Twice a year...
Cheap places to stay in Munich

it was a typical hostel, provided everything needed in a basic way, the beds were clean & comfortable and the best thing was the buses were a 100 metre walk and you could walk to the train station. Munich City centre in 10 mins, down side was the chinese lady who snored very loudly but can't really blame them for that! went to breakfast once basic German but fresh & ad...

Cheapest hostel in Munich during Oktoberfest. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Except my last night, but i highly suspect it was destroyed by the new people who checked in. Towels were thrown everywhere on the toilet floor and a bag of rubbish was left on the toilet floor too. however be warned. If you get allocated to the rooms that face the construction (will start earl...

Wombats City Hostel Munich is very good choices, if you planned for your trip with the more value for money, also best location in Munich. You could across a road to Train Station (Munich Hauptbahnhof). There staff is very superb services. They are fastest response with my case and stick it with problem until it's clear. I'm really pleasure with their service and woul...

The 4 You Hotel in Munich is very conveniently located only a short distance from the main railway station. The reception staff is young, enthusiastic and knowledgeable and they all speak good English. Weather information and tourist brochures and internet are all available in the foyer. There is an “eat all you can” breakfast. Rooms are very clean and well-equippe...

The hotel is very conveniently located 2-3 minutes walk from Hauptbanhof ( Central Munich Station).. The facilities are very basic and rooms too... The breakfast offered is very basic like cornflakes, some cold cuts, yoghurt and fresh fruits... Coffee is on the house but they don't have a kitchen so nothing hot is served like omelette and room service....but the locati...

The staff there are very friendly and they are the best staff you can ever see. Hotel are opposite to the main train station (Munich Hauptbahnhof) where you can see the train station from your room window. The room are very clean but it's a little bit small. However you still have a good space for office table with its chair. Each room has only one key which is a nor...

I loved how close it was to city center, the showers and bathrooms were always clean. The staff was top notch! Super helpful! The only thing that could improve is the personal lockers. They were definitely secure and it's convenient to have your own space to store things, but getting to your items is a bit difficult with where the lid was located. Other than that, ...

We basically picked the place by price but it turned out to be a lucky accident. The hotel (more like a guest house or lodging, since there is no room service) is in a great location, just off Marienplatz and walking distance from most attractions in Munich. It is also easily accessible by tram (from station/bus centre) and by U and S Bahn (airport). Breakfast is good....

We were visiting Munich to go to the passionplay in Oberammergau. This is a good city to visit for a couple of days. The hotel is very conveniently located in the middle of town, on walking distance to the shopping area and tourist attraction. Highly recommended for a short memorable stay.

The room wS clean and although it was a shared bathroom, we NEVER saw anyone else coming or going, and never had to wait for it. The shower was upstairs, but, same story. It was always open, and no line ups. Breakfast was included and the breakfast room was quaint and clean and bright. The lady who runs it speaks great English and German and Chek, she is friendly a...

The hotel can be accessed 2 way, one from the main station which you will have to pass redlight district. Another is via business/shopping street which you can aceess thru tram. The housekeepers keeps the room very clean. Value for money for hotel in Munich, just next to minimart.

the location is quite apart from the urban area, so if you are planning a sightseeing in munich not the best choice...but the price per night is quite cheap regarding the german standards rates. when i was staying our group had problems getting hot water. complained to the staff but nothing could be done. in short, 1. looking for a cheap stay -> yes 2. looking for a n...

We ended up booking one more night. The hotel conveniently located outside of city center but just a train ride away Hackerbrücke stop or munich ZOB. Many good restaurants/ deli’s near by like the Vinzenzmurr Augustiner Bräustuben and Augustiner-Keller. All well priced and ton of food. Also many little convenient stores and supermarkets near by. Staff was friendly a...

What an amazing time I had. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the atmosphere was insane and everyone was so laid back, relaxed and enjoyed themselves. Such a crazy wild party. The beer was also delicious! Great for when you are travelling Solo. I arrived alone but went back home with a lot of great new friends! Highly recommend it for anyone who loves a g...

we took the s8 line from the airport to the station (sorry forgot the name) and bus number 190 and 191. the stop to alight is after the burger king. good thing i had emailed the receptionist on how to get to the hotel from the airport as it is very difficult as we were caught in the snow and had to do some walking from the train station (with no lifts provided). ...

When we visited Germany, Munich was the last city we visited so we have expected to have so many stuff. Hotel Bayer's provides definitely the best location with some reasonable price. The lady who has helped us with confirmation letter for VISA and booking (and check in apparently), is very friendly indeed; but the man who took over the night shift is not.

A&O has satisfactory accommodations and it is in a great localization within Munich. Close to 2 main train stations and walk distance to the Oktoberfest. The only complaint goes to the breakfast that they charge EUR 7.00 but it is very limited. Not even scrambled eggs .

Excellent Stay!!!! This hotel is absolutely fantastic. Super clean and the location is so close to the train station, it makes it a breeze to travel Munich. The breakfast was unbelievable good as well. Can't believe how much food they had. Everything was so nice and the staff were very professional and kind. Spoke English as well. We would definitely be staying here ag...

The hotel is located about 10 mins walk from the train station - it wasn't the nicest area in town but it's very convenient for us as we took trains a number of times when we were in Munich. The hotel room is cozy - there was some dusts on the coffee set but not too big an issue. There was a power outage the first night we were there but it was quickly resolved by the ...

I took a punt on this because of the price and it paid off. I walked to all place of interest from here but the s-bahn and u-bahn are handy. My room was comfortable and I'm informed they are to be renovated soon in 2012. Most important of all to me was the honesty of the hotel staff. When they discovered they had made an error in my account which I didn't notice, they ...

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and had a plesant stay there. The receptions could speak good english and the hotel is located very near the mittersending sbahn station. Hotel is located in a quiet area off the city center however is only a short 20 min train ride to the city. Had an enjoyable stay and will go back there again in future if I am back in Munich.

I arrived at midnight and the lady at reception was just lovely! Parking is a little of a nightmare in the area but she let me park right at the hotel doorstep and looked out for the police. The room was excellent! Everything was well thought through, the bed and pillows were super fluffy and comfortable. The room was huge as well. It’s such a quirky hotel and the st...

A safe, 50-meter walk from the Munich Central Station to clean, quiet lodgings here makes this ideal for traveling within Munich or out of Germany, whether on guided tours departing from the station, or self-guided ones. Plus, the station offers meals - quick grab sandwiches or sit-down dinners. Staff are courteous and pleasant.

First of all, I went to series of Novotel hotels in different countries and all of them were very nice. Novotel Muenchen Messe Hotel Munich was very nice place to live in, as it was clean, very nice location, it has A/C (not all hotels got A/Cs in Germany!) and not that expensive. The room was very modern style, I loved it. As I said the location was very nice, the ...

The neighbourhood was very quiet, which was great for sleeping both at night and preparing for a major time change by sleeping during the day. The reception was open until midnight, which was very convenient, and staff there were extremely nice and helpful. Our apartment was perfect, with pleasant decor, a nice bathroom with shower and full tub, very comfortable bed, s...

The apartment was just as we had expected from the photos. It was great having a supermarket just underneath. The apartment was cleaned and the beds were changed during our stay. The beds were a little too soft, but apart from that there weren't any complaints. The underground station Trudering was about a 10minute walk and remember the shops are closed on Sundays. If ...

Really clean hotel that's brilliantly located in the centre of Munich. The only con was that the heating in our room was broken and couldn't be fixed while we were there. The staff gave us free coffee and tea and extra duvets to compensate. Located beside lots of great bars and restaurants and close to Christmas Markets. The German Museum of technology is very close an...

We had a fabulous time in Munich. Hotel was perfect, great location for travelling around the city and also it had all mod cons. Staff were very helpful, friendly and couldn't have done anymore for us. Breakfast was amazing, spoilt for choice. I would looting return again. Great Italian restaurant up the road too.

This hotel markets itself as an exclusive Munich hotel along with its sister hotel (which is nearby), the Koenigshof. But caveat emptor (buyer beware). While Koenigshof is indeed very nice (at least the lobby and spa facilities), Excelsior is at most a 3 and a half star hotel, probably just three. The breakfast room is nice and the food yummy. They have a nice bar and ...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pullman Munich Hotel. It is very easy to reach via underground from Marianplatz. The staff made check in very smooth and our room was very spacious, beautifully furnished and cool. The temperature in Munich was around 40 degrees so air con was much appreciated. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices to suit everyone. We...

Aloft Munich leaves me a good memory in Munich ;) The location is great, just exactly across one road to Munich Hbf. Very chic and clean, room is spacious with modern design. Down from the street, there're quite a lot of restaurants, like German, Turkish or Italian cuisine or you can just lay back in the lobby of the hotel. Convenient choice, just 15-20 mins wal...

We were here for Inter airport show, everything about this Hotel was great accept we didn't like that they took €50 as deposit for security of eating something in the restaurant, I think this procedure was kind of prejudiced on the customers, as I had been travelling all over the world, and especially hotel in Europe, none of the hotel would asking for deposit, when th...

Hotel is very conveniently located, especially for visitors on transfer travels and preferred a hotel near to the Munich airport. It is located just 100 meters from terminal 2. Facilities are excellent. The only disadvantage is the cost is slightly higher than average.

The Westin grand hotel Munich is simply fantastic. The location close to the English garden and easy access to the MRT makes it the perfect solution to explore Munich private or on business. I recommend to book the club level with acess to to club lounge at floor 23, stunning view over Munich. Another highlight is the SPA are with pool and sauna. No need to men...

I had a most wonderful stay in Kempinski Vier Jahreszeiten Hotel. I booked the hotel last-minute (a day before my arrival) for their single business room. The room is quite small, but for the price and location, I was happy with what I got. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I booked an opera through the concierge and they got me the middle seat in the midd...

Munich is really great, this city has so many good things, the people are really friendly and helpful, so many history building, museums, also castles, and many sighseeing places, i was in berlin before i went to munich, but i like munich more, this city is really amazing :D
Munich is a wonderful city to visit and is easy to get around by public transport or walking. We did two organized walking tours, otherwise we did self guided tours.
Munich is a great city and provides a lot of hospitality. Visit the Vikzalienmarket with it's local market stands and drink a cool beer under the walnut trees.
Nice place with great culture. No shopping on Sunday as all shops are closed but not sure why there were still so many people along the shopping districts.
I love Munich a lot. The food, the sightseeing, and the atmosphere I would definitely come back again!
Munich is one of the main city for Germany at south. Historical buildings are every where and the train system is very convenient which you can travel around nearby cities conveniently.
We were in the city just overnight, as in our plan we had to go to the next city. So we saw almost nothing around the city.
Munich is a great place once you are out of the vicinity of the Hauptbahnhof. The main station is good but it is littered with people drinking.
Munich was mentioned for the first time in documents in 1158. it has developed into a diverse, exciting, historic and modern city.
There are a lot of places to visit in Munich. But one of the must see is the Schloss Neuschwanstein and Schloss Hohenschwangau.
There is always something to do in Munich. Try to get away from the typical tourist traps and get to know the city like the locals.
Its my first visit to Munich. The city is one of the most beautiful in the world. People are friendly and well dressed.
A beautiful and modern city. Fast and disciplined life, Excellent transport system. I would love to visit Munich again.
Small city which you can cover the town area within the day. Easy to get about the city on foot. You will probably use this as a central stop for day trips out of the city
We enjoyed mëunchen very much. Marienplatz was fun for walking and shopping. The German museum was good to spend time during a rainy day but a bit overpriced.
it's just like any city. i like the airport. within it, you can find everything you need. lots of places to see and restos and shopping to do.
Very disciplined, very prompt and very proud of their culture. I appreciated that. I just hope there will be English translations everywhere.
smokes everywhere, a lot or smokers, when there is smokes in the chilled air it really chokes when you breath it in, and easily makes your nose and throat feel uncomfortable.
Great place to visit with great art galleries and museums. Train trip will take you other beautiful places too.
They have an excellent transport system with the Ubahn, trams and buses. Very easy to use and excellent value for money.
If you are coming to Munich, choose on Monday to Saturday to enjoy the life of this place cause on Sunday, most shop out of the city will not be open and you might have issue finding the right restaurant.
Great City, public transportation was good, great places to eat, reasonable price & lots to see and do
Out of our 5 week European travels and visiting over 20 different cities and towns, Munich was the worst.
Marienplatz is considered to be the heart of Munich, so it's a must you visit it. Also, Neuschwanstein Castle in Fussen, two hours away from Munich, is a must-see!
I love Munich, the culture, the shopping and the lifestyle. I will encourage everyone to visit Munich.
I believe Munich is the greatest and modern city inside Germany. You must visit Munich if you will travel to Germany.
we visited Marienplatz , Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castle by taking the train to fussen. also a short dinner at Lowenbraukeller for its local food ( gigantic portions) .
The beer and sausages are great. The signs are mostly in German without english translation but the People were very friendly and helpful when giving directions
Munchen is absolute. Very amazing City. Clean. And relax. Can find everything you need here. A modern City.
Did not go out into Munich City at all but went straight to Fussen to visit Neuschwanstein Castle which was amazing.
