This was a terrific, relatively new house. Having stayed at other places in town before, this was a much, much better option. Great views, easy to check in/out, and very comfortable. I'd highly recommend this over local hotel/motels, particularly if you're with a larger group. I was solo and still thought it was great though.

The house is big and new and has a lovely view, but unfortunately it’s not too clean for a new house like this. The oven plates are sticky and dirty and my family got bitten by fleas or something in 2 different bedrooms.

Amazing place with nice touches such as the heated floor in the toilet, smart TV system. Great shared laundry facility as well. We loved this place in the cold autumn nights and it was close to everything you need (food, supermarket), which was just down the hill. Closed to the lake and market. About 10 mintues walking distance. Staff was really healpful and help us to drive our luggages to our room when it was hot outside and we don't have a car. Wifi was very weak and can not be used in the room.

I had the best stay ever. The apartment was modern, spacious, and most importantly, warm! We could see the night sky on the bed from the window, kitchen and bathroom amenities complete. I highly recommend the place to all travellers. The house is good for 8-10pax. Nice and cozy place where you can enjoy your vacation. Superb facilities. If I have to come back, I will definitely stay in Castle Hall again.

This is a really good house in a great location. During summer not amazing air conditioning and needs more basic amenities such as soaps, shampoos, glad wrap, oils. Rules are quit strict.
Not bad , only wash room is not enough since can hold 9 people there.
The pictures looked better than reality. The place has partial views of the lake. Kitchen equipment, cutlery were falling apart and unfit for use. You have to bring your own toiletries! Certainly does not match up to the price listed!

Go for one of the late night Mt Cook Observatory tours. We did the 12:30AM - 2:30AM tour and got to see the moon set, among many other amazing astral objects.
This place is beautiful! I would have use "paradise" to describe the stunning scenery of the Lake! I was very lucky to be able to catch the season of Lupin flowers.
Hot pools, skating rink, ice tubing, fishing, star gazing and visit to planetarium are all great activities in a unique and beautiful setting.
the snow tubing and the hot pools are really their main attraction but next time we will visit the observatory.

The ice rink, hor pools and spa were a highlight of our visit. Plenty of good walks and amazing scenery
We went fishing and caught 6 fish from the canals which was great fun. The cafe at the top of MT John was locely with spectactular views of the area and a soak in the hot pools is very relaxing.
