Samed Grand View Resort is situated on SaiKaew beach, the largest of the beaches on Koh Samet. Here the water is clean and very nice for swimming. As the largest beach on Koh Samet there is plenty of choice when it comes to dining and other attractions. The hotel is nice, bungalows and hotel blocks in a nice garden setting, just off the beach. The hotel restaurant is beautiful with a lovely view of the beach.

i had a great memories at vongdeuan resort hotel after i booking their room, i have sent email to ask them how should we arrive their hotel? they was very prompt reply the letter as below: thank you for making reservation to stay with us, to get to our shuttle boat, please come to our office in ban phe, you can present your voucher and check in from here, our staff will take you to the boat. boat time schedule: 10.00, 13.30 please contact staff inside office directly only!! due to this email, so we clearly know that we could take their free boat straight to hotel. when we walk on the beach, we chatted with other people, they told me that they paid 1,000 baht to bought other boat tickets to here, so i am so appreciated their customer service center to reminding us they have this service. i love this hotel everything, all staff are friendly, location is very near the beach, and the buffet breakfast is so delicious, i have a very happy memories in koh samet island. thank you vongdeuan resort hotel.

The hotel is located in the middle of the town (I mean Koh Samet is small, but you can call this spot middle of the town). Next to the hotel you have the beach, the longest in Koh Samet with great restaurants and entertainment. The breakfast is ok, but needs some attention from the F&B Manager. But the breakfast in the other hotels are far behind this hotels, yes, checked! The room is spotless and there is nothing to complain about it, it is big and nice. The hotel staff is very attentive and don't forget to tip the cleaning lady, you will be suprised about some suprises:). I can recommend a stay in this hotel, I think it is still the best hotel on Koh Samet. Via the motorcycle you can go to all other beaches and it was funny, you can hang around in the other hotels too, just have a drink at their bar.

Close to the beach made it easy to walk up and down to the room between hanging out at the beach and relaxing in the room. Food was good at decent rates, only possible drawback was that the staff sometimes were more busy talking to each other rather then looking after the customers, without it being a huge problem but this was the feeling we had at times. In general they were kind and helpful though so it is nothing I would bring up as a huge negative. Just more of an observation. Other than that the room was big, big bed and a balcony with a sitting group. Only thing they could have added was a sitting group inside the room as it was more than enough room for it. They had a small fridge to keep our drinks cool, a neat bathroom with hot water showers and the standard was very good. Television was pretty up to date and the room was clean. All in all a very decent room for the price. It is a very good place for those who wants to be close to the beach, especially couples and families. They had a bar/disco belonging to the hotel that was very active during the night so if you want to have a couple of drinks during night time the option is there. Fire show and modern pop disco music with an external bar next to it so you could also sit outside if you think the music is too loud. My overall opinion of the place is that it is more suitable for those who want a calm and relaxing stay, with the option of going to a close bar to hang out as well. If I would go back to Koh Samet this would absolutely be an option for me.

Stayed there for 2 nights. We enjoyed our stay especially my son.He loves the pool. It's clean though you cannot avoid bitten by a mosquito during the evening. The hotel gives you a repellent when you want to sit, dine and enjoy the breeze in the evening. Staffs are mostly Cambodians, very nice and patient. We'll be back next time and perhaps stay for 3-4 days. Prao Bay has a great beach in Koh Samet and you can save a lot at Lima Coco compared to other beaches there but to be honest, I just wonder why beaches in Koh Samet are a lot more expensive compared to beaches in Koh Chang.

Our first time in Koh Samet. As we booked quite last minute we only managed to book a hillside room which was still lovely. We were right at the top so we actually had a lovely panoramic view of the beach. We had free transportation from the Ban Phe pier straight to the resort which saved us a lot of time and money. Very quite and relaxing area and not overly crowded. The staff at the resort were lovely. We would have liked more activities around the resort as pools closed at 8pm and there wasn’t much left to do in the evening. Other than that, we cannot fault the resort. Highly recommended.

If you have children, this is the Place to stay in. Very Nice, Me and and my familj will certainly come back. It took us 6 weeks to find a place which would suit our expectations on a holiday, full of relaxation, great food, great service and an exclusive location. Paradee Resort in Koh Samet fit the description to the letter. Relaxation - 10 out of 10 Food - 10 out of 10 (Both asian and western cuisine superb) Especially the spaghetti carbonara) Service - 10 out of 10 (Staff are very friendly and aren't over the top.) Location - 10 out of 10 (can only get to the resort by speed boat. Makes it feel more exclusive especially when they drive out the pier from the beach.) We were invited to a meet and greet cocktail party with all the Paradee management team, this was a great idea as it showed that the team had an interest in there guests. In all, thanks again to Kung, Marcus, Piero, Natalie, Patty, Ping Pong, Ming and the entire Paradee team. Peace out.

If you want a 5 Star resort holiday then Koh Samet isn't the place for you because they don't exist. If you are flexible and can accept a few annoyances than this is a great place. I really liked this hotel. The rooms were comfortable, the food was fine, the beach was clean, staff were friendly and it's close to Wongduen beach which has many more restaurants and entertainment. The hotel is being renovated, but they weren't working the week we were there. There are millions of mosquitoes but this is all over Koh Samet (take repellant). We got a very good deal on the rooms we had so to us it was great value. For what we wanted it was perfect.

We've been to Tubtim a number of times (as well as other places on Koh Samet) - starting in the travelling days and staying in their basic fan room and upgrading to now an aircon garden view. There are comparable rooms/huts across Koh Samet for this price if you put the time and effort in to shop around. It's a basic, clean enough hut with a fan and aircon. Curtains were a bit grubby and the fan starting to go rusty and there wasn't the screening under the sink that was in the photos. The garden setting is fine, nothing fancy. Where it is special in our opinion is the beach - it's generally pretty clean as the staff rake it daily, it's a smallish cove and has an intimate feel to it, especially when it's dark and the lanterns are on. The water was reasonably clean (apart from the first day, something about the tide/direction of wind that made me panic about paradise lost) but plastic is ruining the swimming experience. The food was tasty and they offer a good variety, staff always available. The inclusive breakfast was good, and I enjoyed the variety of Thai breakfast on offer as well as the normal toast, jam, fruit and yoghurt. 20 to 30 minute walk to the main drag is not bad really, plenty of places to rest and have a coconut along the way. We would consider coming back here but would shop around as there is good competition.

The room (family room) was very clean and spacious and close to the beach. Be aware that if you book a standard room it can be located far up the hill, which is quite a walk every time. The restaurant serves good western and Thai food and for Koh Samet is on the cheaper side. Most restaurants are more expensive. The beach was very nice and ideal for a family with kids. Beach chairs can be rented for 80 THB for the whole day. Other nearby beaches are easily accessible by foot, but the resort also rents out motorcycles. We enjoyed our stay. I gave 4 stars for facilities, since in a resort like this the rooms should have a hot water boiler for making coffee IMO.

Hands down the best hotel in Koh Samet. It is brand new and facilities are equal or better to many hotels in Bangkok. Rooms are spacious and neatly designed. Breakfast buffet is good and the restaurant is very good. Cons:- lots of mosquitoes in the room. Staff was not very flexible. We booked five rooms with 9 adults and two kids. Yet the front desk insisted on charging an additional 650 THB per night. Other than these issues, an excellent place to spend a few days here

I have stayed on Koh Samet more times that is sensible and I’ve stayed at all different levels of accommodation. The biggest difference between Le Vimarn and all the others is that this place is a real resort. Most of the little bungalows are just that! A bungalow and a small restaurant. Le Vimarn has it all – a spectacular infinity pool, lovely spa, great sun loungers on the beach and several restaurants to choose from. Obviously because you’re getting a LOT more here than at the other places, you’re going to pay for it! Le Vimarn is CONSIDERABLY more expensive than any other bungalow accommodation on Koh Samet. This hotel is also situated on the “other” side of the island, which can be annoying if you’re wanting to party until late or be around lots of people, as you’ll need to get a taxi at 200B each way. I think the best advice for this place is you need to evaluate what you want from your stay on Koh Samet. If you’re going with friends and want to party – then this is definitely not the place to stay. If you’re going with your partner and want something romantic – then you can’t do better! It is also great for families as it’s not as busy as the other side.

Stayed with my boyfriend. Bed very big, and very comfortable for Thailand! It had a sheet, a blanket and a nice pillow. Big, clean room with a view of the sea through floor to ceiling windows. Aircon worked powerfully and there was a fan option. There was one chair in front of the cottage. Food at the resort was usually very good, but take my advice and don't order a baked potato in the day - only from the evening bbq! Also the cheese isn't real cheese, it is burger style plastic cheese. The service was sometimes painfully slow, which didn't matter too much unless you were eating before going on a trip, but it was a little frustrating. My favourites were seafood green curry and pork bbq stick. The beach was amazing and not too busy. Much, much nicer than the other beaches we saw on the island. It had two snorkelling points that were deserted and peaceful. The resort has home made wooden swings hanging from the trees all over the place, some can fit three people at a time and are a lot of fun. There are hammocks too. There is a nice pool but we didn't go in as people with long hair must wear a swimming cap - and we prefer the sea anyway! The people staying at the resort were mainly families and couples, with a few groups of friends. They were mainly foreign with a few Thai visitors. The roads are extremely bumpy, and the taxis are more like jeeps. Make sure you get in one that has padding on the seat or you will get a sore bum! It costs 450 baht to go one way from the pier on Koh Samet to Ao Wai beach. It costs 400 baht one way to go in a taxi to the popular Diamond Beach from Ao Wai. I recommend taking a private speedboat straight to the resort from Ban Phe pier, because if you take the normal ferry you have to climb over loads of other boats at Koh Samet pier, and sometimes jump some big gaps between boats, though there are boat boys to help you with your bags. Also you don't have to bother with taxis at the other end!

We LOVE Summer Day Beach Resort!!! After spending a week whizzing around Thailand, we finally arrived on Koh Samet for 2 days of pure rest and relaxation and Summer Day Beach Resort was the perfect place for this! We chose to hire a speedboat from Ban Phe Pier which cost 2500baht return for 2 people. The journey took about 15 minutes and the boat dropped us on the beach right outside the hotel! Perfect! The hotel only has 6 rooms and all are just a few feet from the beach. We stayed in room 4 which offered the best view. The room was fantastic. Large, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Each room also has a small terrace with deck chairs which were lovely for the evening - we enjoyed sitting out and watching all of the activity along the beach. The beach is perfect. Soft, white sand and gentle, clear blue sea! It is a popular beach and is busy but not crowded and there are boats coming and going all the time so there is plenty to see! The hotel has a bar and serves food right on the beach. The menu is varied, affordable and very tasty! The only downside is, they stop serving food at 7:30pm and the bar closes at 9pm. However, if you do wish to eat/drink later, there are plenty of other hotels, restaurants and bars just a short stroll down the beach. Breakfast was included in the room rate and there was a good selection available. The service was excellent, although a lot of the staff didn't speak English and we speak very little Thai. They also called up the mainland to help arrange our return journey to Ban Phe which was very helpful! Sadly, we did not see the island of Koh Samet, opting to stay on the beach for the duration of our stay, but Summer Day Beach Resort made us feel like nowhere else existed! We were in a little bubble of paradise for 2 days and it was wonderful! Thank you Summer Day Beach Resort - we love you and can't wait to come back soon!

excellent hotel, Staff are great, the road leading to the hotel needs to be fixed but apart from that no complaints, the best hotel in Koh Samet and i have been going there for many years, this is a new hotel which is very comfortable. If your not wanting the usual Koh Samet standard of room then stay here. A little bit of Luxury. I cant wait to get back and see the Staff again. English owned hotel. I met the owner who is very approachable and friendly.

Very nice staff, everyone didn´t speak English well but it worked out well anyways. The did their best to understand and helped each other translate. The rooms were very nice. Simple and beautiful design. Clean. We could see the sea even though we had garden view. The Thaifood was excellent in the restaurant. Best food in Koh Samet. Wonderful view of the see in the restaurant area. The only thing that we didn´t enjoy was two cochroaches in the room and a giant spider. The staff were very helpful getting the spider out though. Don´t drop anything on the floor in Thailand if you don´t want ants in the house :)Very quiet during the week but we understood that it´s very busy in the weekend, especially in the bar area (we missed that though).

If you want to make vacations at Koh Samet then don't look at the hotel. You'll be at the beach most of the time. The Vikar Samet Resort is at the corner of the beach, so if you don't want to make a lot of party until the end of the night, it's the perfect place. If they had a place to wash your feet after walking on the sand, everything would be perfect. Yes, the bathroom could be better, but what do you expect for this price? Everything worked and we had a beautiful time at Koh Samet. Thanks Vimarn Samet Resort!

We had a truly brilliant time in Koh Samet and the staff and setting of the Sunrise Villas were two of the main reasons for this. Koh Samet itself is an extremely affordable island and this extends to the wonderful Sunrise Villas where you can wake up to a breathtaking ocean view for relative peanuts compared to what it may cost you elsewhere on the island (and especially the world in general). The room is also pretty comfortable and extremely clean and - in addition to the amazing location and setting - the Sunrise Villas has its own excellent restaurant where Chef Brian and his team are more than willing to cook you up some amazing food - again, for relatively very little in contrast to the quality of food you're receiving. All in all, I couldn't recommend Sunrise Villas much more highly and wouldn't hesitate for even one second in re-booking here, if I am ever able to take a return trip to Koh Samet!

The location at the far end of Vondenguan beach is good: not that much noise from the bars, but still you have several dining options in the evening to choose from, unlike if staying on a more quiet beach. For the day we would walk to a more peaceful and less touristy beach nearby (walking distance to several, best was Ao Wai not more than 30min walk), and in the evening benefit from the restaurants and bars. Vondenguan is not a party beach, but it does get crowded and is very touristy. Smaller beaches nearby are more idyllic for swimming. We liked the resort's cozy summer cottage feel more than the very modern and expensicve resorts in the middle of the beach. Simple and cute white cottages blend nicely with the nature, which on this fully built beach is not the case with most resorts. Not a cheap place, but Koh Samet is really expensive. Like everywhere in Thailand, walls are paper, the only minus there. Bring earlplugs if you choose the cheaper double cottage. Excellent breakfast!

We recently stayed on Ko Samed at the Baan Ploy Sea after we where let down by the weather in Koh Samui and we found this little Gem ! We have read many reviews on this Hotel and quite frankly couldn't understand some of the reviews YES the staff don't speak the best best English and understand well BUT do you speak Thai ? The food in the restaurant was amazing and some of the best I have not only in eaten in Thailand but on my many stays around the world everything was fresh and was piping hot both in heat and from ingredients! Breakfast was very good the selection of freshly prepared eggs how you liked them was spot on as for the staff they where so helpful and I would like to say that ALL the staff where a great example to how staff should be trained at a resort! The area was spot on you where only 500 metres from their private pier and beach in front of the hotel was stunning if you needed or wanted to go into the town or down further onto the other beaches you could hire a scooter for 300Baht or get a taxi for 200baht one way either where great fun and highly recommened ! Overall if you are looking for a hotel on a small island with a private beach you have found it !!!!!

I came to koh samet to avoid the craziness of bkk and came across this hotel. I was traveling with my girlfriend, and found that this place was my best hotel I've stayed in out of the 10 times I've been to the island. Beautiful gardens and 2 minute walk away from a quiet beach. On arrival the owner was so accommodating, showed us to our room (brand new) and told us where to rent motorcycles etc. Located right at the north of the island we avoided the craziness but still wanted a couple of mad nights only a short tuk tuk or ride away. Breakfast was great and overall would thoroughly reccomend this hotel to anyone traveling to samet.

After a long hot journey to get to the island of Koh Samet, the most welcome sight of the day was PK at the check in counter- so excited that we had arrived. Our favorite thing about this resort was PK. Hands down. If we had been staying in a tent instead of a bungalow we would have had just as good a time. PK either greeted us in the morning or the evening with his same kind smile, was always willing to chat and went out of his way to accommodate us everyday. We had originally only planned on staying here one night although due to the genuine friendliness of the entire staff we couldn't help but wake up every morning and say "lets stay here just one more day". Without even looking into other accomodations we ended up staying here for 5 nights. On our first night we stayed in a bungalow which was in the middle of the resort, the next day the staff moved us into the beach front bungalow without a hitch. The food was nice and the views amazing. We took a little trek around the eastern coast on foot to check out multiple beaches in a day- a fun little adventure. The main beach which hosts a bunch of parties in the night is nice for enjoying a beer or two in the sand or if you want to get a little crazy. We had our sights set on relaxing so it was a relief to come back to our quiet resort after being on such a busy beach everyday. If we ever go back to Koh Samet we know where we will be staying! Thank you all so much for your hospitality.

We had visited Chilli Hotel before and booked a room for 3 people. I made a big mistake though and got my booking dates wrong, and only realized when arriving at the hotel. The hotel staff were really helpful though and gave us a room even when they shouldn't have, and helped us with an extra bed. The hotel is well located and has a great free breakfast and other services. We enjoyed walking to the beach, local restaurants and convenience stores from the hotel and I like how they have free Wifi and a place to clean your feet before going to your room. We also enjoyed a nice seafood dinner at the restaurant. But the staff going above and beyond happened as we were leaving. My friend left her phone / ID card / credit cards in a motorbike we had rented that wasn't even connected to the hotel, but the hotel staff regardless helped us locate the lost items and sent them back to us in Bangkok, not even charging us for anything, saying they just wanted to help their hotel guests. I'll be honest about Koh Samet, the rooms in the main town area don't really go over 3 stars, and it's not a perfect hotel experience. This is why the attention the detail does go a long way and my group really did appreciate it. I would recommend this hotel to those staying in Koh Samet's main town area and to the staff of the hotel, if you're reading this, thanks again for all your help and generosity! There are some bad reviews for this hotel here and on other platforms, but they must be out of date.
