Ko Pha-ngan hotels & accommodations

This was our 2nd time in Koh Phangan but by far the best trip, largely due to staying at the Coast Resort. The hotel is beautiful designed, with a modern aesthetic, by the owners whom I’m told are all architects. The resort really caters to a younger and hip crowd; I’d say mid 20’s to mid 40’s from what we could see. (We like that it's not a family hotel) We upgraded ...

The staff is the nicest there is...we've been in a couple of resorts in koh phangan including annatra and kupu kupu ... This one is the best the beach is not great for swimming but its amazingly beautiful...and the resturant is not that great but the staff is amazing and the breakfet is very good. We'll defiantly return next year

Having stayed at numerous hotels in koh phangan over the years, this was definitely one of the best. Thr breakfast was good, rooms clean and spacious along with a lovely beach and restaurant. Only negative was the constant building works in the restaurant area but it is low season and perhaps this shouldbe expected to some degree

This is our best experience in Thailand during our 3 weeks here! The staff is fantastic and unbelievable friendly! A hide away from the Haad Rin area. 100m from the hotel you have Koh Maa and a fantastic beach, another small resort next door with great thaifood! We had a deluxe room which were very spacious with a big terrace, the only thing is that you don't have a ...

The first thing that struck me about Milky Bay was the space between and the sheer size of the villas. We stayed in Villa and if you are tossing up between a villa and a normal room I urge you to splash out and get this style of room, worth every penny. Everything from the second/day bed in the corner, the couches, the spacious bathroom... having stayed in a few differ...

We arrived at the Koh Phangan jetty and rented a 4x4 car for about USD 40 per day. The resort does provide pickup service from the jetty (chargeable per person per way) but if you have more than 4 persons it is better to rent a 4x4 car. The distance from the jetty to the resort is quite far but the traffic and road condition is consider good except that you need to dri...

What an incredible hotel with exceptional services from the staff. We arrived at the Buri Rasa Koh Phangan after a horrible experience with a different hotel in Koh Samui. Not knowing what to expect, the moment we checked in Khun Banana at front desk made us feel we have arrived at a place where we could let our guards down. Each day we dove deeper and deeper into a st...

We stayed in a Garden Hut for 4 nights. The huts have recently been renovated and further renovation works are ongoing (Mar19 - not really noticeable as the work is carried out behind a green panel fence). The hut was functional with large double bed (2 singles together) nice new bathroom, quiet AC unit. No fridge in room but reception will provide ice box free of char...

my favorite place to stay in koh phangan but not ideal for long term more than 4 days. the rooms are basic, some bungalows have flushable toilets ( some you have to pour water on it but at least it's not a squat toilet). it's supposed to be eco friendly so there is no hot water but totally tolerable. beware as some of the bathrooms have no proper insulation so mosquito...

We just spent a very relaxing week at this lovely, modern bungalow On Koh Phangan. The room was extremely large and perfectly clean with all the mod cons you'd expect. The pool was peaceful, clean and perfect for lounging around all day. The staff were lovely, friendly and always helpful and the breakfast/dinner was a great quality. I'd say this place is worth more tha...

Hotel was very luxurious and beautiful - from our room to pool area. There were alot of spots for sunbathing and relaxing. Staff was helpful and friendly. Every night staff brought some sweets and a letter wishing good night to our room - that was really sweet. Beach was lovely, but quite shallow and not suitable for swimming. Scenery was stunning, sunsets magnificent ...

Every stuff person is so nice - they smile every second and is very helpful even some of them don't speak english well. The food in a restaurant is very good - we tried a lot of restaurants and street food in Thailand, but Tom Yum Kung soup and chilli red fish were the best in here. Hotel managers are very friendly, they offer a bike (booked from friends), booked a boa...

Location: near to the sea, stunning view and you can do laundry and rent scooter next to the bungalows. The location is relaxed but not too low. Food: you can do breakfast, lunch and diner very good. We’ve just had Thai cuisine for dinner, which was really delicious!! But you can have western cuisine as well. Breakfast was good too and also various. Accomandation: We s...

You can not find a better place to stay in Koh Phangan!! It is on the beautiful Had Rin (sunrise beach) on which the full moon parties are held, but it's on the opposite end of the beach and therefore still quiet enough to get some sleep when you need it. It's central to everything in Koh Phangan but it still feels like you have your own piece of the island even in Pe...

This is without a doubt the best place I stayed in Thailand!! Booked here for a few days post-full moon party, there's still loads to do in Koh phangan, I recommend the waterfall party!! The resort is a bit of a walk up to it so maybe not the best place for people with walking difficulties but the views are amazing! It's so hard to believe you're only a few mins awa...

We wanted nice and relaxing accommodation which was not expensive. The resort was one of the best choice for it. Our room had enough space, good sea view and a huge bed. The staff with a British owner could not have been kinder. We can arrange all the transportations in Koh Phangan and one-day trip to Koh Tao through them. We loved our week here and I would love to com...

From the moment we stepped off the ferry we were welcomed by a member of staff from the resort and transferred free The resort itself is spectacular with breath taking views from the top of one of Koh Phangans mountains Our room was lovely with beautiful sea views, clean , comfortable and a great size with a wonderful balcony. All the staff were brilliant and they ma...

I had a brief stay here so didn't get a major impression of the services, staff, etc. Overall it was good value, though I stayed in other places in Koh Phangan that were the same price for nicer rooms. I booked the Standard Bungalow which was actually across the street from the main hotel area, reception, and beach. The standard bungalows were pretty basic, and if stay...

This place has really gave us amazing experience as we were there with kids (7,5,3 and 1 year old) the pool is just amazing. It has different layers so you don't have to always swimm in deep water. The beach is clean, very smooth sand and not busy. In the night we could hear some music but not really loud and that was ok. In this resort is no restaurant or bar but nex...

We stayed here during the full moon party great location just across the road but silent from the beach parties. There was however an event or religious venue behind the hotel which was pretty noisy in the night on some days. Breakfast was basic but did the job. Shower was good and aircon effective. Pool with sunloungers was nice though pool was a bit cloudy so didn’t ...

The Bayshore was absolutely stunning! This was me and my sis first time to Thailand and we loved our stay here in koh phangan. We were in Thailand for 3 weeks. we stayed here 3 nights in beginning of February during half moon party. We are both close to 30 years old and enjoyed the vibe here. Not too young, not too old. Didn't see any kids/ families during our stay eit...

Our first night we stayed in a bungalow for 330 baht. Checked out this one for only 230 and was hooked. Cheap restaurant with great variety. Amazing staff. Perfect location. Cheap scooters. HOT showers. Decent wifi. HUGE rooms. Best value for money in koh Phangan. Stay here, it is GREAT. They book cheaper boats and give you a free drink when you check in. Would come b...

Haad Son Resort is one of the best place in Koh Phangan where you can enjoy a beautiful, clean and quiet beach... Moreover, they have this bay where we can jump and swim with a school of colorful fishes. The staffs are friendly and helpful. They will give us some bread to feed the fishes. Oo, my kids love it. We love it and will definitely be coming back again to this ...

We spent 5 days at Pingchan, out of our two weeks on the islands. By far the best place we were in. The location is amazing! Quite beach, great food, drinks, plenty of places to wonder around too (or take some day trips), but for us it was being able to just lay back and relax on this amazing beach. The staff is super friendly, the food is great and inexpensive - or y...

I stayed here for three nights during the Full Moon Festival, so the area hotel prices in Koh Phangan were all extremely inflated at this time. However, the quality of the room matched the hotel's 3 star rating, not "Thailand 3 star" but actual clean rooms that had no major building issues, mosquito infestations, hot/cold water problems, etc. The room seemed newly buil...

Had a not-so-good hotel in Bangkok and was kind of thinking this would be worse. Turned out to be the best part of our trip in Thailand. Did a stupid mistake booking twice and despite the no refund policy, they did give me back my money. Location is very close to a lot of restaurants, bars, convenience stores, bike rentals, etc yet not noisy. Place is peaceful and rel...

One of the most nice places in Koh Phangan. Tranquolity and chillout flyes in the air at Loifa resort. Staff is briliant. Resort is cozy and nnice just on the secluded small beach in Sritanu. Perfect breakfast, beutifull garden, two pools.... sure we come back again. Thanks Loyfa

We arrived at the hotel and had booked a garden view room, however there were lots of mosquitos flying around so after the first night we requested a pool view room and paid an extra 100 baht a night. This room was much better, no mosquitoes at all. Breakfast starts at 8am but it can take half an hour for your American breakfast to arrive but the coffee and juice is se...
Cheap places to stay in Ko Pha-ngan

Had a great stay at Jaya Guesthouse for full moon. Booked a fan room but immediately moved to an air con as so hot. Staff are lovely and friendly. 5min walk from pier (ferry from Koh Samui) and 5min walk to the gorgeous Haad rin beach where full moon party is. 7eleven around the corner and lots of restaurants near by. Food served here is very well priced and yummy- ate...

The rooms are really clean compared to other, more expensive dorms and resort. The owner is supercool and helpful, he gives a lot of information about the life on Phangan and you can ask him anything. The staff is cute and very nice. It is close to the road and not far from many spots and parties on the island (haad rin, jungle, maya, loi lay, etc.), so you can go a...

We stayed 4 nights here and overall enjoyed the place. The location is great; right on the beach which is quiet and large enough to find your own private spot. Our bungalow was very small, but for the money we paid, we cannot complain. If you're a tall person or like a little more space, ask for one of the larger rooms. The staff is extremely friendly and ready to help...

Great property right on the beach. Staff were lovely and friendly. We rented scooter and got ferry tickets with free transfer to pier. Good location if after quiet relaxing trip but not far from busier areas. Would recommend getting AC as Koh Phangan is very humid.

Great hostel and great staff! The guys are really friendly and helpful. The hostel is very tidy and clean and in a great position close enough to the shop and to the nightlife. But if are not a party person takes just 10 minutes to ride on the quiet side of the island. This hostel offer you everything you need info for excursions renting of scooters Just saying..........

So I went there and in about 10 min I met a group of random people sitting in the garden and we went partying together for the next 3 days. So the hostel is a good base for all those party’s in Koh Phangan. The location is also nice because it’s in the middle of the island and there are heaps of things to see south as north So if u wanna party it’s good but also if u w...

We planned to stay 4 days and ended up being there nearly 2 weeks! The fan bungalow gives you all you need. Comfy beds, spacious bathroom with good hot showers, in room safe, enough space on hangers or shelves to put your stuff away. Little balcony where you can relax in your own hammock. All bungalows are located in a very green garden! The best thing about Shiralea ...

It was fantastic. The owner speaks mandarin (Beijing accent) and he was very accommodating towards me. My flight was delayed an hour and I took the latest ferry (7.30pm) from Donsak and reached at 11pm+, he still greeted me with a smile. When I left, he has already prepared the deposit I paid and I didn't need to wait for anything. His parents are so gentle and kind as...

We spent 3 weeks in Koh Phangan and gotta say ABC Bungalow was a solid base for it. The owner is really down to earth and easy to talk to and knows a lot about the island. He's like the 1 man shop for activities, taxis, laundry, etc. really pleasant and goes out of his way to make sure you get what you need/want The beach next to the bungalows is actually non existan...

From the perfectly clean room, to the absolutely warmest staff that we have encountered on all Asia. La Casa Tropicana will exceed your expectations. We had a gorgeous ocean view along with a very delicious and unexpected free family breakfast. The whole staff (english and Thai speakers) go above and beyond for you even when they do not need to. (Mimi was lovely) and t...

Koh Phangan probably scores half the points as it is an amazing island in itself. However, take nothing away from Coco Garden Resort. This is an amazing cosy resort just by the beach. The staffs are very welcoming and the food at the restaurant is excellent. We also spent some time at the bar, when Adrian (the owner) asked us to join for a drink. Kudos to him for set...

We booked 3 nights but left after 2 nights because: 1. The lady at the counter was totally unmotivated. She definitely partied too much. Most of the time she was elswhere doing about nothing. 2. We reserved a room at the back but the counter lady tried to send us away with a room on the front, heading towards a noisy bar. Thanks! 2. The room looks okay but: -...

My time at Treechart Hostel was my favourite stop on my entire six week trip through Thailand. I was supposed to stay for 2-3 days and then move onto the next island, however due to the amazing staff and facilities at Treechart I ended up staying two weeks! I first showed up after checking out a couple other hostels on the island and finding that most had black mold an...

Group of 4 stayed here after another hotel messed us around at full moon time. Can't comment on price or value for money as Agoda paid for us to instead stay here. We stayed in a family suite which had two rooms and a bathroom. Lots of space, nice area to chill out front. Breakfast was ok. Staff were OK. A bit far from full moon but didn't really like Koh phangan in ge...

My brother and I stayed a few days at Tanouy, and enjoyed its laid-back atmosphere. The staff is what makes this place great. I called them a day before, and they offered to pick us up from the pier (saving $$$ = awesome). They are helpful to any inquires you may have in your trip around Koh Phangan, and they're welcoming of their guests. Note that it's an island so p...

I had the best time of my life at the Beach Village. I booked the bungalow near the beach which was literally less than 1 minute to the beach or the pool. Amazing view and amazing music. The staff are super super friendly and helpful. You can never get service and care as this much from anywhere else in Thailand. The staff helped us with everything we needed. I met a l...

This is my second holiday in Koh Phangan & B52 gives me all the reason to come back asap. Attentive to needs even though we arrive late, there was pick-up waiting. Seemless check-in with friendly & helpful staff (thanks Noiy). Relaxed atmosphere with well kept room (eventhough we did not put the "Make-up Room" sign) and good manicured landscape. Hardly any mosquitoes w...

I've been stayed in Hacienda Beach Club Resort twice in a month & the fantastic seascape, the great location near town & good facilities are all attract me totally stay in more than a week.Staffs are geart & warm welcome, just near the Tongsala Pier which also center Koh Phangan.I will definitely go back if I visit Koh Phangan again.Highly recommended!!

For $5/night, you can't really beat this place on koh phangan. May have been so cheap because it was after the full moon party. AC works very well, beds are decent, they provide towel/shampoo/soap, and the location is good if you just need a place close to the pier to crash after doing a visa run. Only thing I didn't like was that they didn't have anybody working the d...

we were backpacking trough Koh Phangan & found this wonderful Hostel in Thong Sala. it is located in a beuatiful & quite road just next to the City Center & just 10min to the Pier. the owner & bis Lovely little Son were so friendly & polite & helpful! you have to try the ice Coconut green Tea!♡ amazing Drink to cool down in the cosy little restaurant in front of the s...

Came for a night stayed for three. Slow time so it was only me and the owner Jose. Good host, had all the great recommendations, super relaxed lifetime-beach-bum vibe, great company. The hostel’s a little far from most cool stuff, but it’s not a huge island and you can get anywhere easily with a scooter or a taxi. Great stay.

The best party hostel in Koh Phangan, staffs are super friendly. Facilities are very clean and nice. They treat you as family. Very near to the Pier/jetty(walking distance). Just 20mins by road to Haad Rin where the main parties are. Absolutely the best hostel. If you're thinking twice, stop right there! Don't think, just book it. I can 100% assure you that you will thank...

The Coast is an amazing resort. If you are going to Koh Phangan there is no where else to stay! The staff is incredible, very good English, extremely attentive. We'd been doing our research for a few days before we finally got round to deciding where to stay in Koh Phangan. So much choice but the other reviews made the decision for us and we booked 4 nights at Koh Phangan Pavilions as part of our honeymoon trip. When we arrived, we were initially concerned about the apartment's proximity to the town/beach however there was...

Amazing resort! The staff are so friendly, and go out of their way to look after guests. Food is excellent, cocktails are perfect. The resort offers a free shuttle into Haad Rin. The rooms are immaculately clean. You won't find better on Koh Phangan. The Cabin is a tropical paradise.

Chills Resort is a beautiful family owned facility. Located on the Northwest side of Koh Phangan, which means you end up with gorgeous sunset every night. It is a small place and all the bungalows have an ocean view. The food is suburb, as the owner went to one of the most prestigious cooking schools in Thailand and takes pride in everything she cooks. As a solo trav...

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Koh Phangan for anytime soon. It was very far away from the town area, nestled in the jungle, with not much of anything to do. There were no restaurants, shopping area or shops. The roads were horrible and can only be reached by 4WD. If anyone wants to visit Koh Phangan for the full moon party, this is not the ...

Mike and Sophie were amazing hosts, and the villa itself is absolutely beautiful. It's tastefully decorated and they had staff come in every day to change the linens and do general tidying (dishes, etc.). by far the best hotel we have stayed in Koh Phangan. the location is the opposite side of the full moon party Haadrin. the view is amazing and the water is more nicer. you don’t have to eat out because their restaurant by the beach is so affordable. Fantastic hotel, beautifully decorated and well located in a very peaceful area in Koh Phangan, away from the noise and the crowd. The villas with private pool are unbelievable: it makes you feel like you've rented a whole house and not a hotel room. We had 6 nights at Kupu Kupu Koh Phangan. Everything, from the small things like bed sheets, night snacks with a little story, every little detail was well thought threw. The staff was amazing. An ideal base for exploring. Just be careful when booking. The front large villa is always shown. The other villas are at the rear. We stayed in the two bedroom Villa. It was very nice very clean. This could be a dreamy place, if only the owners where honest people: a. the place is entirely under construction, with tens of thai workers operating loud machinary - and it is not written in any place on their page. b. make sure you get what you want. they mix pictures and when you are already there they give you a villa which looks nothing like what you wanted, then...

Small island you can travel around in one day on motorbike. But with very different beaches, some really very quiet and beautiful, some very busy full of party people.
We went to Phangan on a day trip. I would not recommend it. You have to hire a boat taxi to get out there and once there you are stuck.
5 nights is enough time. U can see the island in 1 day shopping is very basic. It is a very quite island and very relaxing and slow.
It is most famous for its Full Moon party, which sees the area swell with young tourists. Afterwards, the numbers of tourists drops as there is more to do on the other islands which make up the Samuis.
I really enjoyed Koh Phangnan. I found it much more relaxed than Koh Samui, the beaches are nicer and it isn't ruined by mass tourism (yet)
dunno why so many people go there - no good sea and beaches, locals (вurmese) are very unfriedly. i recommend attend only full moon party, that's all.
Its a Beautiful Island with full of Green & beaches,Good for Couples & for the Party only the moon Parties are suggested, the Clubs are & nightlife is not that great nor the activities.
If want to stay calm area, thong sala is the choice, but the beach is not friendly to swim. Have to go to other beach, Haad Rin, Haad Yao, Koh Ma.
Koh Phangan is very big island about 30 minutes far from Koh Samui by high speed catamaran, there are many waterfalls in the national park , many nice beaches ,lots of good restaurants and hotels and lots of parties in this island.
Based on what the locals say, this island receives about 5 - 6 times the no. of tourists during full moon party dates and super peak blocks compared to the rest of peak season.
Great place We intended to do all the islands but came here and made it our base and just visited the others.
Southern Part is Haar Rin Beach full of parties with nice beach but with very craggier road ahead to.
I loved the island of Koh Phangan. Very beautiful beaches, water and warm people. The full moon parties held here are famous, lots of fun! Great place to snorkel, lie in the sun and do nothing.
I loved Koh Phangan. I've been going to Thailand for 15 years and had always steered clear of it because of the reputation of the full moon parties (avoid August apparently).
Beautiful beaches and fun place to party with other tourists, but if you're looking for a Thai culture experience, this is NOT the place to go.
Just visited for my second time and I can say the island is the fasted devolping tourist spot I've ever been to, within 18 months time i feel like it's gone from a chill somewhat foreign feeling island to going and visiting a china town in the U.
Nice Island, not much to do actually besides some highlights, during the full moon parties it's crowded.
Koh Phangan is an Island of Suratthani similar size as Koh Samui but still more natural than Koh Samui People also friendly as a tourist place Beautiful beached especially Thong Nai Pan Beach Manything to explore in Koh Pha Ngan
Koh Phangan has changed a lot over the years, it use to be a place where one could go and relax, take some tail boats around the islands.
Koh Phangan is a nice island in the Gulf of Thailand offering activities for nearly any interest group, dining, sports, nightlife, beaches etc.
Don't hire a bike unless you really have hadalot of experience, the bikes for hire usually have no tread on tyres and there is a lot of sand and gravel on the roads, get songtheaw taxis, they're cheap enough or use a water taxi to get to other beaches
We went for the exciting full moon party at haad Rin and stayed for a couple of more days to watch Koh Phangan.
there are many different parties on the island. jungle party, half-moon party, full-moon party, etc.
One of my favorite places in the world. Whether you want to party hard at the full-moon party or relax at a secluded resort Koh Phangan can offer whatever you want.
It is a little bit expensive for the flight ticket to Koh samui when compared to the other parts of Thailand but it is certainly worth it!
very beautiful Island , if you go to Haad rin and you want a remote beach go to the coco hut beach- beautiful and quiet very close and almost not known to anyone take a trip to Haad sadet waterfalls there are many nice tours sold on every tourist booking shop make sure you take one and go with good camera - if you can , take a waterproof camera and a waterproof bag the boats dont have pier and you need to swim to the boat make sure your stay is either on "halfmoon party or full moon party try to stick to one resturant which doesnt make you sick.
A nice place to visit for the beautiful sandy beaches and great nightlife. would recommend travelling in a group for max.
Good for anybody that looking for quite and some fun when they have an activities i.e. Full moon party, Half moon party, Shiva moon party, Dark moon party or pool party etc.
Its the Ibiza of Thailand, so if you are a family or not interested in all night parties, or being kept awake by them, chose your location well.
Koh Phangan is a great beach in Thailand If you want go to the party that who drink a lot you can go in here.
