I strongly recommend that the male staff go on a customer service course. Crap service received! You are front desk/ concierge... a smile as guest walk into your hotel is standard practice! We request to book a taxi on Friday evening at 6pm and a male staff say sorry we are too busy! He hands me a card so I can call for one myself! What sh!t service is this? We are not from Korea so do not have a local phone to make phone call, There was 3 of you standing there and you say you are too busy. so pathetic! Yes you have a soccer team staying so the public guests get poor service, I spotted a few staff standing there watching soccer on tv instead of paying attention to guests! Despite the humans crap service the room was very nice and offered adequate comfort. Well done RAMADA, on a serious note - senior management team, please take some action and sort out your male staff! They have such stinky attitude! Why would I recommend this hotel if your staff don’t give a dam about their customers.

Stayed here for 5 nights in the room with terrace, Location is slightly difficult to find, but its because we were doing a self drive trip, and couldn't locate it on the GPS. Otherwise, the location of the hotel is fantastic! Located in the heart of JIFF(Jeonju International Film Festival) square with tons of food, youngsters, and claws machine. You won't go hungry here. Front Reception staffs were helpful despite of a language barrier, they still tried their very best to help us, only a handful of them could speak english. Room was good, very spacious, with great television with wifi! The few negative points was that the walls of the terrace was low, and we know that our neighbour were having a birthday party, and we heard noises, which made us so scared that we thought they have climbed over, and also the door should have a latch, because on the same night someone knocked on our door, and the peephole was blocked. We were about to freak out that night. But nonetheless, really great stay!

Very happy with the way this place is kept. The music they play outside at night with the lighting and the landscape is a recipe for a very pleasant afternoon/ nightly stroll. The restaurant food was decent and price reasonable. Staff were more than accomodating and very pleasant. They have an onsite cafe/ convenience store also which is convenient. The room is clean and a reasonable size. Bed was comfortable. Waking up to the view of the mountain and the green lawns were very pleasing in the late summer of August. A short cab ride to the Hanok village and nearby famous Jeonju restaurants. This would be the only place i would visit on my return to Jeonju. No other gym or pool facilities at this hotel.

We stayed in a double room for two nights in January. It was very clean, modern and large enough for two persons, and has floor-heating, so we didn't feel chilly at all. A large TV, a water-boiler, free bottles of water and soft drink were available. Rooms are cleaned if you stayed more than two nights. For breakfast toasts, rice-porridge, soup, a few fruits and Kimchi were available. It's possible to walk to the hotel from the express bus terminal if you don't have big luggage (30 min). Taxi costs a few dollars, so it's recommended. The Hanok Village and other main tourist places are also near by (20min.). We would like to stay in this hotel if we ever come to Jeonju in the future.

We arrived shortly after check-in began to leave our things and head to Hanok Village. The taxi ride was only 4,000 won and very quick. We enjoyed the village and returned to the hotel area to enjoy the bowling alley that is nearby. We then went back to relax and get some sleep in the room's big comfortable bed with nice bedding. In the morning the front desk attendant brought us breakfast which consisted of juice, hot coffee, and toasted sandwiches. It was a wonderful way to wake up. Unfortunately it was raining and we rode over to Jeonju on the motorcycle, but fortunately the front desk allowed us to stay until 2 PM to wait out the rain. When it didn't stop raining, we asked if we could leave the motorcycle and come back to get it the following week. The kind attendant agreed and allowed us to leave the bike in the covered parking area. I can't say enough about how kind these folks are. Make sure you try Dombae Chobap just down the street as well. The staff are extremely kind and their food was delicious. We will be back to Jeonju soon to enjoy the area again and its fine people. Great little place! The location is fantastic - just at the periphery of the Hanok Village so while everything is a walk away (5 - 15 minutes), it's also far enough to grant you some peace and quiet away from the crowds. Bonus: Jeonju river is right outside the gate and makes for an amazing morning walk, when the air is crisp and the crowds are at bay. I had the single ondol - clean, cozy and the perfect size for a solo traveller with a medium size luggage. The whole Hanok is really lovely (cute little garden right outside the rooms) and makes just sitting around during dusk or a rainy day a relaxing affair. Mr. Kang was very warm and helpful, always offering to provide directions or share little bits of info about Jeonju. Guesthouses rarely enhance my travels but for this occasion, I have to say that my trip to Jeonju was definitely made more memorable by my stay at Happiness Full Hanok Guesthouse. Tip: The taxi's GPS brought me to Eunhaeng-ro but what you want is for the taxi to drop you off at Jeonjucheondong-ro as the guesthouse entrance is on Jeonjucheondong-ro. A special shout out to the quaint cafe Kongkkaji (when you exit the guesthouse onto Jeonjucheondongro, turn left and it's a few doors down) - try their yummy yam latte and have a coffee to go when you're starting out your morning walk!

The room is spacious and clean. I am sensitive to sleeping environment, but the beds are so comfortable and the air con is cold enough for me to sleep well. The beds are soft - contrary to the usual Korea beds that tend to be quite hard. The location is very good. It is quite near to the Hanok village and many other attractions. You can walk over, but if you are lazy, you can take a cab which is quite cheap. Furthermore, the hotel staff are nice enough to help you get one. I really like the unique movie theme of this hotel. They really mean business - there is a floor with lots of movie dvds - you can take one and insert one into the computer and watch movies for the whole day. The movies range from western, chinese, korean, asian etc - there is something for all! There are even books and magazines related to movies and directing. It is super cool. The cafe sells really good drinks. It is definitely a good place to chill out at or engage in a business talk. It is quaint and quiet enough. The best of this hotel is the service. I would like to specially compliment this staff whose name I don't know of, but I hope the manager gets to see this. It was on 8 July, Friday. The receptionist at night was very helpful in helping us out with the booking of the express bus from jeonju to busan although it is an issue that was not related to the hotel. Firstly, she tried her best to understand me by using naver translation and she tried to communicate to me patiently about what the korean words were about on the express bus website. Secondly, when she realised that I could not use my card to book, she even used her own personal card to book and allowed me to pay her in cash. For this,I am very thankful and am really impressed by how she was willing to go all the way to help me. I will definitely recommend everyone to stay here.

My wife and I spent about a week in Jeonju during the film festival and spent our last 2 nights here after our original guesthouse wanted to charge double the price for the same room... because it was a weekend. NOPE. Wish wed found this place first... GREAT LOCATION. 5min walk to town... about 10 to hanok village. 7-11 across the road and lots of restaurants nearby BRAND SPANKING NEW ROOMS! The guesthouse had only been open 2 weeks when we visited. they are doing it right. comfy bed,extra towels and fridge. FREE BREAKFAST! Tea,coffee,juice,bread,butter,jam and EGGS... plus all the stuff to cook them up right there. but most of all the guy who runs tue place was a legend. He agreed to drive us to the train station in the morning but we slept through the alarm... so upon changing our plans he drove us to the bus station instead. He saved the day! If you are in Jeonju... Hit this place up!

There was some problem initially during check-in, not sure its the fault of Agoda or the hotel as we were told by the hotel receptionist that our reservation was canceled by Agoda although I have been charged by Agoda for the room. After about 20 minutes and showing the receptionist the proof of payment made to Agoda, he finally let us check-in and said he will settle it with the management and Agoda separately. Good location as it is right next to the Jeonju Hanok Village. There is a small private parking space behind the hotel for those that are driving. Other than the initial check-in problem, it was a pleasant stay in the hotel.

it is absolutely a good-to-stay hotel in jeonju! really no regret after trying their warm guesting manner! with delicious breakfast, comfortable, clean and safe room! with best location which takes us only five minutes walk to both suburban and express bus terminals! of course the bus stops are just nearby too reaching nearly most attractions in jeonju! however the price is really at a good rate! no excuses not giving all top stars to arirang!

The owner was very friendly and he allowed us to check in earlier without asking any questions when we arrived around 12.30 pm although the check in time was 3 pm. Upon checking in, he gave us a map of Jeonju and showed us with clear directions the various sight seeing places and also recommended the restaurants for all the famous food that we should try. We went to 2 of the restaurants and the food was good. Every morning, he would deliver our breakfast to the room personally. He also allowed us to leave our luggages in the hotel when we checked out as our train was in the late afternoon. He even asked his wife to accompany us to the main road to take a taxi to the train station. We would definitely stay in this hotel again in our next visit to Jeonju and would highly recommend others to do so. We paid about S$182 for a 2 nights stay for 3 persons, which is very reasonable. The location is also easilly accessible.

I went to Jeonju in March, 2017. Temperature there was about 0~13 degrees centigrade. I was satisfied with blue boats' infrastructure and sanitary. First, there is not only heating but also electric blanket under the quilt. There is rolling blind beside your bed. You can turn on/off light inside your bed. Next, floors were clean because residents are required to take off their shoes before enter. Moreover, you can lock your shoes outside in your key. And your suitcase can be locked under your bed. Here is about breakfast.Landlord offer breakfast which including hot coffee and sandwich. There is fridge and everyone can use it. In a word, I like here and if my friends want to go to Jeonju, I would like to recommend them to live here.

The guesthouse completely exceeded our expectations! It was so much more cosy and beautiful than the pictures depicted. I travelled with another female friend. The room was spacious for the both of us with big luggages and had everything we needed for a warm night’s stay, especially with the rainy weather that day. The guesthouse is located right in the Hanok Village, so you experience the village right from when you walk out of the guesthouse and can cover all the sightseeing spots without having to go out of your way. We received a warm welcome from Jin and he was helpful throughout our entire stay, recommending good eats and helping us to book a taxi to the train station as we were leaving Jeonju. Would definitely stay here again next time I’m back in Jeonju, and recommend my friends to stay here as well :)

We booked two rooms for 4 adults. The room size is compact but big enough for two people with two big luggage. It is also surprisingly warm and cozy specially during the night when it was sub zero. The breakfast line is relatively small with slices of a few fruit served with bread and jam, though you can have as much as you'd like. But as it is also a cafe it means you can enjoy a good fresh quality coffee for breakfast too instead of just a normal filter or instant coffee. It also offers a nice view of the Hanok village for breakfast. Wifi internet is not very strong but good enough for Instagram and Facebook. There's no kitchen and you will not be allowed to cook, but Jeonju itself is listed as UNESCO World Heritage for its cuisine so eating out is compulsory anyway. Overall this is a very nice guesthouse, right in the middle of the Hanok Village, very good priced, and we'd definitely stay here again and will recommend to our friends.

Very pleasant experience to stay in a traditional Bukyungdang Hanok Guesthouse. Lady Owner of the place is very helpful to my family stay with them. When its raining in the morning, she even offered a free ride to train station for us to catch train from Jeonju to Yeosu. She even recommend a nearby place, Mt. Maisan to us to go as our itinerary in Jeonju is abit long, 3 night in Jeonju but end up not going as it is raining that day. I will recommend this hanok guesthouse for those who want to enjoy a traditional hanok stay.

There were six adults, two toddlers and one infant. We rented two family rooms- one for 4 adults and one for 2 adults and the children. As is with all traditional hanoks, there was just enough room for all of us to sleep in a row and have our suitcases on one end. The towels and the bedding were all freshly washed and dried and the room was impeccable. They also provide a mini fridge with two complimentary 500 ml water bottles, and a hairdyer. They had a TV in there too but we didn't really watch, since we were there to tour around. This is not a real traditional hanok, but was rather a building converted to look like a hanok. If this is important for you, you should look elsewhere for the authentic experience. The location was excellent- within a five minute walk was the entrance to the palace housing the king's portrait and the cathedral was also nearby. The location is ideal because it was inside the village but far away from the hordes of tourists which would have made it very loud and night and during the daytime. The owner was great, he even gave us recommendations on where to eat and which sights to go see. Parking is also available- we rented a mini van and were able to park in front of the guesthouse. I will definitely re-book this place if I visit Jeonju again.

Location was close to the main street of Jeonju. Room was big enough for 2 people and it was warm and comfortable sleeping in futon. We were initially worried about staying in Hanok during the autumn season where the temperature will drop at night but it was a comfortable stay for us. Affordable stay and great experience living in Hanok. I also enjoy their breakfast with rice and soup. We truly enjoy our stay here:)

This would be my first Hanok experience in the city of Jeonju that I love the most. This place is not hard to find, plus the people of Jeonju are extremely helpful! Located just on the side of Jeonju Hanok Village, Saekdong Jeogori was one beautiful awesome Hanok! Those two Imos (landladies) were just so nice and make sure that we got as warm and comfortable as they can. The room fits for two persons just nicely, warm and clean (beautiful and cute as well). They got restroom for each room. Aaaannddd... they have a hanbok rental as well! You can rent a hanbok to go around the Hanok Village for a great price! Would definitely come back here next time!

definitely value for money. if you can't get reservation at Ramada or a big hotel near han-ok maeul, this maybe the best u can find as it is clean and simple with most necessary hotel ammenities. no restaurant in the hotel but lots of eateries within walking distance. it is near night life so noise can be an issue although we didnt have moch problem with our fussy 3.5yo son sleeping. few negatives are that there are no towel hangers in the bathroom area, and someone kept smoking on our floor and even threw out a cigarette butt on top of the trashbin next to the elevator. havibg said that, smoking etiquette in korea is not so world class level especially and even worse in cities/towns other than Seoul. Front desk kept saying there shldn't be anyone smoking and they are watching via cctv hahaha...oh well.

i traveled to jeonju on my own during the summer as a side trip out of seoul. since my korean is limited to hello/goodbye/thank you, i was quite horrified to realize that only 1-2 people speak english in jeonju. it took forever to figure out where i needed to go (make sure your directions are in korean--not english), but once i got there, it was amazing. as a young female traveling alone, i wasn't sure how comfortable i would feel here (since i chose the hotel for its cheap price), but i was delighted to find the place charming, safe, and clean. the room had everything i would have expected from a far more expensive hotel (indeed was nicer than the rooms i've gotten elsewhere in korea), but it was nice, clean, and well-maintained. the owner spoke english and was incredibly kind enough to give me directions and store my stuff when i got there early. they brought me breakfast in my room, and made sure i had everything when i left. the breakfast to my delight had eggs and toast--an amazingly westernish breakfast for a korean hotel. this made me very happy! i was delighted that i stayed here, and i would definitely come here again!! as a side note...it is hard to find this hotel since it is on a side street kind of stuck in the middle of what looks like nowhere. however, it's actually only about 5 minutes from the mainway. just know that it may be a little hard to locate--take a taxi!

The stay at Gaeunchae Hanok was really nice! The owner was super nice and he could speak english as well! At the start there are some trouble on the checking in as there was a mix up in the booking, but then the owner was so good that he really do his best to make thing settled. Very good place to stay at, the hanok is super nice and clean & new! I really recommend this place to people who are going to JoenJu-si. You will love this place and the owner too.

I stayed at Jeonju JK Guesthouse (JK Youth Hostel) with last minute booking because I have unplanning stop over in Jeonju. Therefore, I booked online with the cheapest result since I'd only stay for 1 night and JK Guesthouse was the one. The hostel is located at big building on 4th floor for woman and elevator available. No locker and no socket on each bed, only at some point on floor. I came on Monday, so the guesthouse is very lonesome. Staying alone in 8beds dorm and I only saw 1 room with light on. The corridor lamps using movement sensor, so it's very dark and they will start blinking when you're walking. So, I felt little bit spooky. Many toilets are available and clean. But the shower room is 'public bathroom'. It means no divider, no curtain, no door, just big room with many shower. It was okay for me since I was alone but I can't imagine the awkwardness if its full of people. The staffs are very nice, they're very welcoming and trying to help you as much as they can. Walking distance to Jeonju Hanok Village (20 mins of slow walking) with just following the stream/river, so easy.
