Traveling to Thailand? Find Ayutthaya hotels

Stayed here on 7th April 2015 in the Pool Suite. The staff were friendly and welcoming at the front desk. Lobby connects to an art gallery which is very nice and you can purchase the paintings. The architecture leading to the rooms and restaurant is very different and well designed. Standard rooms looks like they're from Greece with an shared swimming pool. The Pool Suite is private, comfortable and peaceful. Although, there is no view from this room overlooking the river. The room has a bath, not a Jacuzzi. The pool is narrow and about 10m long. Enough for 2 people to swim privately, The room comes with Espresso Machine, coffee, kettle and selection of drinks in the fridge from 60 to 120 baht. Best to go to 7/11 up the road (100m turn right out of hotel). The food at this hotel is good, but not the best. Quite expensive, too. But remember, this hotel is the best one available in Ayutthaya with a nice view overlooking the river. Our meal came to 1,700 baht for two people. (I did however have two dishes to myself as the burger was not filling). Would I stay here again? Yes I would, because it is nice but maybe just for one night in the standard room. It's not easy to find a decent hotel in Ayutthaya (or in many of the provinces for that matter). This is a large hotel that can easily cater for (and did) tour groups, conferences, very large functions, etc. Rooms although dated and facilities of a high standard. Comfortable bed and large bathroom. Everything worked. There is a choice of 3 restaurants. An Italian, the large coffee shop (where breakfast is also served), and 'another' on the terrace adjacent to the river. The latter was best choice for dinner as a live duo performed in the evenings - better than the karaoke style performers accompanied by piano in the coffee shop during the evenings. Cuisine was generally good, but service in the coffee shop was appalling due to a lack of staff training. The breakfast buffet was varied with sufficient variety for foreigners, BUT the girl tasked with making omelettes just didn't have a clue about how to fry an egg unless you wanted it solidly very well done. Most travellers if not on business and there for a purpose are there to see the sights. In my previous experience the hotels located inside the old city closest to the monuments aren't much to write home about, and in any case, you need transport to get around to see all the sights. So location isn't in my view especially important. The Krungsi River hotel like no doubt every other Ayutthaya hotel, has its resident fixer located out front who can arrange a personal aircon taxi/guide to take you around for half or all day - and frankly speaking, that's really what you want if sightseeing. So it matters not that your hotel is not slap bang in the city centre. The terrace restaurant was a delight overlooking the river with live music. If you don't want to otherwise spend a fortune on a luxury boutique guesthouse, then the Krungsi River Hotel offers a very good blend of very affordable comfort and facilities (if booked through Agoda at their 50% off rate) and you need look no further!

Ayutthaya is a nice little town north of Bangkok. it is a nice escape from the madness of the big city but still retains all the comforts. the city was the former capital of thailand/siam. there are many wats/temples to see and the price of living is a bit cheaper than in bangkok. the hotel was nice, do yourself a favor when booking and spend the couple extra dollars and be sure to get the luxury suite. it was very big and had a little "living room" area with a nice couch. the breakfast was also very nice and lots to choose from. the pool is nice. it is the community pool for the area and is full of families during the evening, but is pretty empty during the week and in the day. exercise rooms are nice, equipment is a bit dated but i still got a great workout in. the a/c is not running in the gym so get in early. over all was great value and will stay again.

This small, familiy owned boutique hotel is situated in a calm, village like part of Ayutthaya, 5 min bike trip from the ruins (bikes are proposed for free by the hotel). The nature is just magnificent in the garden of this small hotel. - we appreciate also the genuine, thai wood architecture of the lodge which was part of the family proprety before the new hotel part. - the owners are the main staff of the hotel and they are very kind and helpful. We need to have loundry done and they simply did it for us (in other hotels it cost you a fortune). As we did not want to go in town in the evening (our son was tires) they were so kind and cook for us!!! They even went to the market to buy what my husband choose to eat... I was impressed because they do not have a restaurant and it was tha lady that cooked for us marvelous thai food... the best we eat in Thailand (and I assure we eat very well in Thailand!) - the location is perfect in a quite and peaceful place near a river side. The only thing is that it might be a bit difficult to find, but the map they provide on their site and a good GPS can easely solve the problem. - I can only recommend this hotel when going to Ayutthaya

Where do I start with review on this hotel?! We stayed at this place for 2 nights & had the best time in Ayutthaya. On the first night, we borrowed bikes from the hotel & rode all the way to the historical site. It was just dawn & there was breeze for the summer night. Light was still enough to see everything & even Queen's Summer palace across the river. Also had dinner 2 nights in a row at the hotel as it's not really near anything. Food was fantastic. On the day we were leaving, a Thai TV drama was shooting at the hotel. The owner insisted to take us to meet with the TV stars & offered us all the food that was cooking up just outside of the hotel. The whole experience was just surreal. Would definitely come back here if we were to stay in Ayutthaya again.

This is an apartment style hotel situated roughly halfway between Ayutthaya town center and the Rojana industrial park. Because of the large number of factory plants nearby, you will find quite a number of business travellers from overseas staying at this hotel. The hotel is well maintained and modern. Room is spacious and the bath room is stocked with all those items one needs for personal hygiene. Air conditioning is powerful enough to keep every corner of our big room cool, and yet quiet enough not to disturb our sleep. We had breakfast and lunch buffet at the hotel. Breakfast (included with room) was delicious and lunch was good value for money at 290 Baht per person. WiFi was stable and speed test on my laptop showed 5 Mbps for both download and upload. Good enough for most people. Although we have not stayed at other hotels in Ayutthaya so we can't really make comparisons, but this is definitely one we would recommend, especially if you a business traveller and not caring too much about view. The hotel is off a busy highway and there is nothing much interesting in the immediate neighbourhood. But again, 10-15 minutes drive will take you to those tourist places.

Staying at Ruen Tubtim has been the highlight of my trip to Thailand so far. Yes, not a temple or a beach, but a hotel! I didn't realize when booking that I would need to take a 5 minute ferry back and forth from Ruan Tubtim to get to the main part of Ayutthaya, where the Historical Park and floating market are, but this was actually part of the charm. I enjoyed being on the river and not on a noisy street in town and my room was truly beautiful - polished, hinged wooden doors opening up to a floor bed with silk pillows and bedspread. With AC, a private bathroom around the corner, and a lovely common area in traditional Thai style, it was perfect. The family that runs Tubtim has been in the business a long time. They are gracious, generous, and attentive without being overly solicitous. I hope to visit them again one day. Be sure to take the boat trip with stops at three temples and a last stop to watch elephants bathing. You may, as I did, happen upon a blessing ritual at one of the temples. If so, purchase the folded orange robe on a tray, respectfully sit at the foot of the giant golden Buddha, and wait for the finale when all robes are tossed into his lap and finally unfurled over the heads of the visitors. A deeply moving ceremony, all the more so because it was unexpected.

Ayutthaya Hotel rate is very affordable. The room is clean and big. Room facilities is perfect too. The breakfast at the restaurant is average but acceptable. There is a small massage saloon providing good and friendly service. Surrounding the hotel, there are many shops and local eateries found at every corner within walking distance. Tuk-tuk (local taxis) is always available st the hotel doorstep. Overall Ayutthaya Hotel is a perfect choice for budget travelling.

Ampo Resident is conveniently situated in the Ampo Mall (The Sky Shopping Center), just about a hundred meter when you turn from Asia Highway into Ayutthaya. So, you have plenty room of parking lot with 24-hour security. Lobby is on the fourth floor, as well as restaurant (for breakfast and dinner), fitness room, and swimming pool. The reception counter is somewhat small, but the staff are friendly and helpful. You have to take another lift from the lobby floor to your room. The room is spacious and well equipped for long-stay. The room itself is clean enough for your comfort. However, the toilet could be cleaner and there is no shower curtain to prevent wetness when you take a shower. Breakfast is plentifully served in the restaurant on the 4th floor. For those who have time to kill, you have a shopping mall and a strange animal zoo to explore. So, Ampo Residence is a smart choice if you look for decent hotel in Ayutthaya.

The P.U. Inn Resort is located only a minute walk from lots of different local restaurants and bars. A tuk-tuk-station and a travel information office are also located maximum 5 minutes from the hotel by walking. You can reach the historical park via tuk-tuk of ayutthaya whithin 10-15 minutes. The english-speaking (i mean, really english, which is quite rare i thailand) staff is very friendly, knows everything about the city and makes every possible effort for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Breakfast is satisfying, too and especially the pool is very nice after a long trip through the city.

So lovely! The staff here is INCREDIBLY helpful, they arranged a motorcycle rental for us and helped us with directions, even found ponchos for us because it was raining! They genuinely care about their patrons and speak VERY good english. Although breakfast is not included, fruit and coffee/tea/water is available for all at any time, which is a really nice touch. The hotel itself feels rustic but rooms are extremely comfortable and large! Bathroom was gorgeous with a nice big shower and lots of space! Add literally being RIGHT across from Wat Mahathat into the mix and you've found what I consider to be hands down THE BEST hotel in Ayutthaya for the price!

i enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would have liked to have stay a few days longer but it was fully booked. the staff here were very friendly and helpful and the main staff member we dealt with spoke good English. even though i never used it as i had a car this hotel offers a tuktuk service to make getting around ayutthaya much easier. which i though was nice touch as i have had trouble with this in the past at other ayutthaya hotels. the only problem i had with my stay here was that the bed was a bit harder than i am really comfortable, but it didnt really have any effect on my stay it is also a small hotel so the selection of food at the restaurant was bit limited.

The Park is a family-run guesthouse that will just make you feel at home. It is located in the middle of Ayutthaya island and you can start exploring the park by foot. The host is one of the nicest Thai we have met during our travels in Thailand and he will give you all the information you need for your stay in Ayutthaya. The garden of the guesthouse is just beautiful and while it was just too hot to walk around midday, we relaxed in that garden and enjoyed the good food made by the host's sister. If in Ayutthaya we would for sure choose The Park again.

We were very pleased with QZone Boutique Hotel. We had a rental car and were travellinf throughout Northern Thailand so were only choosing hotels which have Parking, Internet, and Breakfast included in the rates. The Internet worked very well throughout our stay. The Parking was on-site, the breakfast was very good. The breakfast was a choice of 9-10 Hot Main courses, some Thai and some Western, and then also a buffet with Yogurts, Toast, Fruit, freshly made juices, tea and coffee. The room was 3 completely separate rooms (lounge, bedroom, bathroom) all almost brand new, TV, sofa, small dining table and 2 chairs, mini-fridge in the lounge, nice large bed with strong air-con in the bedroom, and the bathroom had a western style toilet, hot shower, and a separate area outside the toilet with a sink and 2 mirrors and wardrobe. Overall the accommodation was very clean and spacious. It also had a small outside patio with 2 chairs and a table. The best part of this hotel is the staff. We constantly had to ask questions and they were very helpful showing us what we needed/where we needed to go. We also used their laundry service, bought some drinks from their fridge at the front desk, and printed some documents at their front desk. We didnt use their complimentary bikes. I would highly recommend this property to families/couples. Its in a quiet area in the evening so you can actually sleep as well and in Ayutthaya everything is a short walk/bike away.

I loved this place. The hotel accidentally lost my reservation and the place was booked, but they were incredibly apologetic and put me in the best room possible at a partnering hotel. I felt LUCKY that they'd lost it because both the hotel's staff was so friendly! (So if Tony's is booked, I highly reccomend checking out the Tamarind Guesthouse too--I loved it for the one night they put me up. Amazing, well furnished, quirky, and incredibly sweet and accomodating. It's like staying in a modern treehouse. So unique!) ANyway, when I moved back to the hotel the next day, my room was beautiful. There's fantastic live music every night by Toy Candies (the friendly piano guy), and sometimes guests with musical instruments come up to jam with him. It's easy to meet people at the delicious restaurant if you're travelling solo. It's a little more pricey, but it's worth it. Transportation was a cinch. The bus stop less than a five minute walk down the street. The tuk-tuks to get around town are close by, too, and you can rent a bike to explore the ruins almost anywhere. The hotel is, to put it simply: cool. With all the rustic paintings and furnishings, it just somehow fits in the ancient city of Ayutthaya. When I was there, three celebrities from the Thai version of American Idol stayed for a night and all the iggling Thai girls went crazy. Then two nights later a famous DJ came a played for the night. And there's several other bars around to explore if you get bored. I stayed an extra night, and for someone with a tight itinerary, that's significant. Only two cons: The "swimming pool" is more like a kiddie pool. It's tiny. But it's there if you want it. It's more for kids to splash around in though than to do laps. I liked my bathroom, but I saw a cockroach. Better than a bucket toilet though, right? And it's a hot shower. By the way: Songran here is AMAZING! We all had a blast, and I met so many cool people, and hung out with the fun staff.

I have stayed at many places, but this is quite possibly one of the best bookings I've ever made. When I first stepped into the room, I was very impressed with its modern and vibrant design. It was luxurious and tastefully decorated. Tuey later told me that she had put her heart and soul into the interior design herself. Also, the place is very new – only a couple of months old. The room was inviting, impeccably clean, of good size and incredibly comfortable. The bottled water and welcome fruit were very nice extra touches as well. Tuey uses whatsapp which made contacting her very easy, and she was extremely helpful when I requested for some help with getting around the city. At night, she came by my room with her son, and both of them were so friendly, spoke good English, and patiently addressed all of my concerns. They even offered me some hot drinks before they left my room! I had a lovely full day exploring Ayutthaya on bicycle. But towards the end of the day, I met with a mini-crisis with my bicycle rental and Tuey was so kind, empathetic and comforting. Although I had checked out, she invited me into her house nearby for a shower before my overnight bus ride to Mae Sot. I then got to meet her daughter who is a very sweet girl and spent some quality time chatting with the family over some snacks. I planned to take a motorbike to the bus terminal since I had lost most of my baht that day, but Tuey insisted on sending me there on her friend's tuk-tuk! (FB: @tuktukkrungsritravel) I am so grateful to Tuey and her family for going the extra mile and doing what they did for me. I could kick myself thinking that I nearly did not book this place seeing that they did not have single rooms. But the price is very very reasonable for a double room, and as for me I had the double bed all to myself which was really great! One night at Bann Baimai was simply not enough, and I have grown so fond of Tuey and her children that I cannot wait to revisit them in Ayutthaya again!

It's just a perfect little retreat with a spacious all you need room that offers everything a person needs with wonderful people who just cannot do enough for everyone. We LOVED our stay. The salt water pool, well prepared food served with geniune smiles and the amazing massages & also assistance with soothing tummy ailment (from the Ayutthaya city street food)- NO charge! The natural environment with all the traditional & cute little clay features enhancing the home from home plus so much more. Thank you ALL for making our short stay such a pleasurable one. Photos to treasure & really hope we can one day return & bring gifts to you all from Australia.

The staff at the Ayodhara Village were absolutely incredible. In a nation renown for friendly people they stood out - nothing was too much trouble and they were always there to make our stay enjoyable. I couldn't rate them highly enough. Each room at the hotel was a little teak house and these were beautiful and clean. The grounds were amazing and I enjoyed being out of Ayutthaya town itself but within easy reach via tuk-tuk. The only problems were the really hard beds (harder than anything else in Asia) and breakfast. It was beautiful having breakfast on the river but it was fairly disappointing and a laborious process being waited on.

some of you are quick to complain, but if this place had been good you wouldn't have said one thing on here! I had a great time in belcon, and i was actually upset leaving there yesterday. Got to the hotel around 9pm 17th oct, staff at the reception were lovely to me and my family. Because of the time of the year we went they had started cutting down on everything and to be fair it's understandable because where would they make profit if the hotel wasn't as busy as the summer? we had no entertainment through our entire stay but this didn't bother, the piece was lovely and the staff were always happy to speak to me and the family, especially the bar man and the waiters we had at night. Being an 18 year old myself means it takes a lot to impress me, and in fairness i was impressed, I've been on plenty of holidays and this by far was my favorite. There were cats around and if one of the staff members did see them they would shoo them away straight away. The staffs english wasn't the best, but we are in their country why should they have to learn great english? shouldn't we be the ones to learn their language? i would happily recommend this place to anyone and i will happily go back their again.

I spent three nights at Ban Sabaidee Hotel in Ayutthaya and wish I had stayed longer. The welcome I received from the wonderful hosts, especially Yui, was amazing. I have not met many people who are so friendly, helpful and happy to talk as Yui. Granted, I was her only guest, but I would imagine she is like this when busy too. The hotel is a short tuk tuk ride from the centre of the city and a bit tricky for the drivers to find. I wanted to spend a couple of days looking around the temples and ruins and Yui drove me around both days. Yui took me around the city both days to visit the temples, a museum, the floating market and also took me out again to visit the night market and to look at the temples at night. She welcomed me into her home when the family were celebrating her sister's birthday and I spent a couple of happy hours chatting to her family. This is a hotel with a difference. I was welcomed and treated like a friend. Thank you so much everyone at Ban Sabaidee!
