Good hotel with large rooms”
we stayed here for one night before crossing into laos. the hotel was in a good location in the centre of chiang khong. the room was spacious, clean and quiet. the wifi worked well. a number of shops and restaurants are within walking distance.

Surprisingly good for budget option”
Like most people I stayed in Chiang Khong for one night before catching the slow boat into Laos. I was surprised by the size of this hotel including a very large bathroom which I think was good for the price. Wifi was pretty good, I managed to FaceTime home with only a few cut outs! Room seemed to have a locked adjoining door to the neighbouring room which unfortunately meant I could hear quite a lot of noise. Only other point of note was that I wanted to use one of the numerous public computers in the lobby area to upload some photos. They charged me 30 baht per hour but I think it is nice when places allow paying guests to use this type of service for free as many other places do.

Good location and cheap”
This a well located property within easy reach of most of what Chiang Khong has to offer. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room though was seriously underventilated. Sure we took the cheaper fan room but there was no external ventilation at all. Nevertheless it was seriously low cost accommodation.

Good Choice ”
As most people, we only came to Chiangkong for a Mekong trip the next day. The Green Inn is a good choice for that. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff helpful.

Clean, comfortable, much more modern and nicer than i was expecting for the low prices they offer. Would stay here again and recommend to everyone. They have free wifi and interconnecting rooms. Service was good too.

A good stay”
This hotel was very clean and run by a nice reception staff.We were treated very well there. It has an internet center in the lobby and is next door to a good 7/11. Restaurants can be found toward the river but you must look for them.

We only stayed there to sleep few hours...the hotel is new furnished, and it really clean. Bed was really comfortable, and the view in the morning was stunning!

great for the money”
I was ok with the hotel, but I'm not sure if it will meet with the standards of others. The stairs are a killer for anybody who has weight and size problems, so you might want put them into the lower levels. I found the bed very comfortable and yet firm. The top level gets noise from rain hitting the zinc roofs of the nearby houses, so that might affect someone who's a light sleeper (but not me). I had a view of the Mekong River, so that was nice.

Great place to crash before Mekong slow boat”
We just used this as a crash pad - arrived early evening the night before catching a slow boat down teh Mekong River and it was perfect. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, WiFi was fast, and we were in close walking distance of everything we needed (dinner, buying snacks/water). We didn't really see "breakfast" that was supposed to be included, but since these are usually just toast and coffee, we walked down the street to BaanFai (the only restaurant open at 7, early enough for us to eat before our transport came) for eggs and pancakes - which were delicious.

the hotel was great, spotless friendly staff. i was lucky i had a upper room at the back of the hotel so i had a view of the river, the front might be a little noisier but its a small town so it should be fine. the walkway below the hotel along the mekong is one of the nicest i've found in thailand

Perfect for crossing the border”
More like a hotel. Very clean. Located about 1km north of the bus terminal (easy walk) and 1km south of the Thailand border. Perfect for a stop over before crossing into Laos.
