Nice but...”
Very nice hotel, small but clean rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only downside is it's a bit out of town on a rural road, but easy enough to work around.

Very good”
Lovely spot to spend the night before heading to Laos. Tuk tuks were easy to come by to get us to and from and the owner helped to arrange for one for us to get in to dinner. Lovely breakfast early enough for us to get picked up. Clean rooms.

Situated at the end of a dirt road”
Hotel restaurant has a great view and room is quite new. It's located on a hill accessible via a long dirt road. Not accessible by foot and pray it doesn't rain.

A simple gem of a hotel”
We needed a place to stay before leaving for a boat trip down the Mekong early in the morning. We had the Chiang Khong Hill Resort almost to ourselves, and enjoyed spending our time on the patio looking over the river at Laos. Our rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly. The owner picked us up at no charge from another hotel in town that our Nok Air fly-n-ride shuttle dropped us at. He also kindly offered to take us into town for dinner and bring us back again, but we were jet-lagged and had two little ones who needed an early evening. So without consulting a menu (I'm not sure if there was one?) they served us dinner there, and presented us with a delicious feast of a variety of dishes that we all enjoyed. The breakfast that came out of the kitchen the next morning was huge and satisfying also. We hated to rush on to our boat, as it was so lovely to linger on the patio and watch the fog roll in and out over the river. This hotel was a lovely stop on our travels and suited us perfectly. Thank you for the kind hospitality.

Perfect”
Good view from top hill that can see Mekong River and Laos side. Fresh air in the morning with foggy surrounding. Friendly owner that can drive you to Chiang Khong and always take care of customers. Owner had experienced with customers from different culture and understand on sensitivity for each customer which really value added to stay and I would recommend thise who travel solo or couple. However human will never perfect and kindly approach owner if you have any concerns or ask and he will help and fulfill it at his best. I like simple dinner that they prepared for me with just vege dipping with Laotion style chilli paste. Great taste of Chicken in coconut milk serve with hot rice. Thank you and love it.

Best view in town, slendid gardens”
The hotel is located a short drive out of town (about 5 mins from the central hotel and restaurant/bar area) just up the hill towards Chiang Saen. It is most suitable to travellers with their own transport, unless you call up the helpful owner who would be more than happy to pick you up and drop you off. Prior to my arrival, the very chatty owner said he drove some of his guests to the bridge but this night I was all alone as the single guest staying there. The hotel appears to only have a small number of rooms, but this made it even more quaint. The owner provided me with a water kettle and free cookies (biscuits) for munching late at night, while breakfast blew me away with the number of items he presented me with, despite being the only guest who had stayed the previous night. Breakfast was served on the deck overlooking the Mekong with a superb view across to Huay Xai in Laos. Only thing that would have been nice would be a desk, however, I suspect not many guests would be coming to Chiang Khong for business or work, given the beautiful surrounding landscapes.

Amazing.”
Just amazing. The guy who owns the place was so incredibly welcoming from the off, even though we were only staying for one night. He offered us lifts to and from town, and to the immigration controls in the morning, after serving a fantastic breakfast sat on the huge balcony with breathtaking views over the river and the surrounding mountains. We stumbled upon this place by chance as a last minute booking for our one night in Chiang Khong before moving over to Laos, but we ended up wishing we had more time left on our Thailand visas so we could just stay there for a few more days. Highly recommended.

Amazing stay!”
The hotel is a bit out of Chiang Khong center but it's even more amazing! The view is great, the owners are very nice and helpful, the breakfast was huge (homemade blackberry jam...) and the room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend!

Best view of Mekhong”
Positives: best view of Mekhong river and sunset in Chiang Khong, nice owner who drove us to border for free, Negatives: other staff kind of lazy and mocking, top of hill so either 15 min run or taxi to town, 200 baht to get back, no motorbikes for rent

Very Helpful and Kind people. I felt Like home. Nice breakfirst with fruits, Thaï soupe, eggs and toast, coffee and Tea. Nice View on the river and the Father even brought me to have some dinner town, to rent a motocycle the day after and at the immigration before taking the slow boat with all the explainations. A real pleasue To be there and if I come back in Chiang Thong I Will for sure go there again !

Excellent Location Overlooking the Mekong”
Situated a bit out of town on a hill overlooking the Mekong with views of Laos. The hotel is small and facilities limited. No real restaurant facilities but an excellent breakfast was provided and the staff were always extremely pleasant and helpful when available! Rooms extremely clean and comfortable with a veranda. If going into town at night getting back can be difficult due to the absence of tuk tuks as they stop operating very early so taking a torch with you may be necessary if walking back. I would recommend the hotel highly for the views, cleanliness and helpful staff.
