Hmmm, how do I sum up a beach hut that is 30 seconds from the clearest water you'll ever see. The blue tribes resort is incredible. The resort bar is on the actual beach (Pattaya) so you jump off the long tail boat and reach the resort in 60 seconds. It's approximately five venues along from the Pattaya Beach entrance to Walking Street - another bonus. The beach huts themselves are superb. A big size; standard Thai double bed (that means hard) and cold shower. Huge porch to sit on and hear the amazing nature that surrounds you (particularly at night). There's wifi in the resort lounge/bar area but not in the room so do bear that in mind if you like to be glued to the web. Beers are reasonably priced, for Koh Lipe standards, and staff always there to serve you. Pattaya Beach was our favourite beach. Although busier, because of the arrival/departure jetty, the sand just seemed so much nicer and cleaner than everywhere else. Lucas, who runs the place, was really friendly and helpful. He gave me a bit of a breakdown on the history of the place etc. It's amazing who your room money goes on to support! We booked two but stayed for two more. It's paradise. I know it is a cliche but it really is. I'd wake up in the morning and within a minute could be in the clear blue sea. No building work or anything to ruin the peace. There were a lot of dogs but none threatening or anything to worry about. The island as a whole seems to have a lot of dogs. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Blue tribes was great value for a beach front property on Koh lipe ..... Very basic ammenities - no air conditioning in bungalow. Lovely staff members and relaxed atmosphere at end of beach but 2 min walk down the beach to walking st. Bundhaya ferry right next door so very convenient location for island hopping.

Blue Tribes is a lovely place with cute little beach huts. We were very happy with the Budget accommodation and the “resort” itself. We found it very clean and well kept. Very close to Walking Street, friendly staff, set on the beautiful Pattaya beach. It was a short walk from the arrival point which was great with my small people. The only negative which is not about Blue Tribes itself is the awful nightclub that they have built next door. The noise goes on EVERY night until 1-2am. We were told that it was more under control and that it only happens once or twice a month which is not true at all. We stayed there 4 nights and friends of ours were there 7 nights and it was every single night. It is such a shame but did spoil it a bit for us unfortunately.

Easy stay on busy beach ”
We were 3 girls on a bit of an island getaway & diving trip and Blue Tribes' deal for a garden room which had 2 beds (one queen & one single) was perfect for us both in terms of logistics and pricing; indeed it was probably more economical than some of the other options on the island which were not as well located. The location of the resort itself is great - beachfront but the chalets/huts/rooms are set around a garden a little away from the front of the resort - which makes moving up and down the beach as well as to Walking Street (the commercial thoroughfare) super easy and convenient. The downside - there's a reggae bar next to the resort frontage which plays music well into the night and can disturb a much needed nights' rest especially if you have an early morning (esp for diving). Aside from that, their bathroom was clean, had running water and the toilet worked fine. One of my friends thought the queen bed mattress had bed bugs, but the other friend who shared the bed didn't notice anything bedbuggy so perhaps the resort should investigate.

Blue Tribes Garden is located at the best location, walked only few minutes to Walking Street and there are many restaurants and bars along the Pattaya beach. Pattaya beach is a great choice for people who want to stay close to the beach and also love bars and good food. The owner was friendly and also staffs there. I would recommend my friends to stay at this place.

Wonderful! Nice and helpful staff. Friendly owner who told us alot about the islands history and how it used to look like, he had given the houses a homie touch by adding beautiful photos from his travels all around the world. The food was really good. We're really happy we ended up at the Blue Tribes and we actually stayed longer than expected.

Amazing location, but soooo hot!”
It was amazing to wake up to the transparent waters of the Lipe coast, and the white sandy beach right on our doorstep. But. But but. A fan is just not enough. I do understand that air conditioning is not very 'green', but we just sweated and sweated all night long. With four of us in the beach garden bungalow, there was not enough air to go around and the fan was much too weak. The cold shower was actually very refreshing! Wifi is non existant, the reggae bar plays pumping tunes until 12 midinight (or 2 or 3 am on the weekend), and the resident dogs like to chase the drunken young people around the beach after dark, barking loudly, so if you like your sleep, maybe opt for somewhere at the other end. At £30 equivalent per night, with no breakfast, no maid service and very little in the way of facilities, I thought they priced themselves a little bit high as well. Having said all this, we had a blast. It was the one place we've been in Thailand so far where we havent seen cockroaches, and all of us absolutely loved the island. I think next time we might stretch to an air conditioned place in walking street though.

amazing beach front ”
great location for this hotel, and thats about it really. staff were quite useless, every time you approached them it was like you were disturbing them from their very busy day of lazying around. the food was quite average and very over priced. you order one thing and they bring you something completely different. bungalows are in need of a re vamp but were comfortable. best thing was you are on the beach so you can walk 20 metres through the resort and be on the sand. walking street is very good for food and shopping.

if you come here, try taking the maps and pillows to the beach at night in front the restaurant of the resort after they closed(that boss said he loves sleeping so he is closing at 10). Just, do bring something to prepare fighting against the mosquito~

Our favourite location!!!!”
This island is amazing and of all the places weve travelled in the last 3 months which has been continuous this is top location. These little bungalows are directly infront of you when you get off the boat onto the pure white sands. So every morning you can just plop into the clear blue waters before breakfast. The staff are most helpful and nothing is too much trouble We stayed extra nights as loved it. The shops and bars and restaurants are just a stone throw away and all up one long street calling walking street. We are definately returning next year.

Good Location But Still Improvement”
It was a good location just 2mins walking distance from walking street , friendly staff ,price reasonable , clean enviroment . But there is need improvement for the resort room . Some of the bed was in a poor condition especially the spring type . Need more extra Fan to reduce heat during the hot season . Night time need mosquito repellet service for the room especially the Terrace Garden type resort .

Location and location”
Location is very near to Immigration point and few metres away from Bungroon Halal restaurant. The room I had was like 50m away from the beach. Had 2 nights stay and didn't have any issues with mosquitoes or other insects. The room is comfortable enough for solo traveller like me but a little bit pricey. The famous Walking Street is also just a walking distance from the resort.

You can only say location is the only reason you stay in this hotel. However i believe there are many other hotels that could provide equally strategic location with better services. The customer service is very poor and staff are not friendly, that include the european owner of this hotel. I had requested need of a power adapter however i receive rude response from the staff and then i tried to look help from the owner but the overall experience was like no one care to serve what you need. Reason i really need the adapter as my handphone and laptops are totally run out of battery however I need info in my mobile urgently for next day flight arrangement. When you say it is 3 star i would expect it could provide reasonable service level. Wifi only provided at the common area. You can chooe stay at green view and other resorts on the beach. I will not go back again as I cant feel like I am a customer there. When owner as well shows dont-care attitude when you need help. Well, zero star if no service provided.

Room for Improvements”
We booked a Double Storey Seaview Bungalow 2 months in advance prior to the Chinese New Year holidays. However, upon our arrival we were directed to a single storey beachfront bungalow meant for 3 pax - Staffs told us that Agoda "made a mistake" - we either take the room or to receive a full refund. In order not to waste any more time, we had no choice but to take it as it is - 4 persons cramped into a tiny room with no privacy. We were aware that amenities such as kettle, hairdryer, water heater and mosquito repellant are not provided - so we brought those along. Loud music from Walking Street till late so do remember to bring ear plugs. We love the seaviews from the resort's verandah, the friendly cats from Reggae bar and its strategic location near the Pattaya Beach Jetty
