Greatest mid range option on railay”
As far as the $50-60 a night places go, avatar is the best place to stay on Railay. It is in a great location, giving you access to the east and west beaches, and the facilities are superb. The pool at evening is especially beautiful. The rooms are clean and the one we stayed in had the largest bed I've ever seen. Water pressure was solid, but not piping hot. The outdoor balcony had a day bed! The only downside is the breakfast buffet is limited, but there are still solid Thai dishes and western choices. Enough to fuel your day, but it's not going to blow you away. Be careful to lock your window! There is a cute monkey burglar that likes to check all the rooms at sunset haha

Lovely relaxing place”
We stayed at Avatar Railay resort for 1 week. Ideally, we should have stayed 3 nights max as apart from Phra nang beach , which is beautiful and CLEAN., Unlike the other two, there isn’t much to do. Because you get a long boat on and off of the island, you are a captive audience and compared to all other places we visited in Thailand , it’s expensive! Avatar resort is peaceful and we stayed in a villa with a balcony. We didn’t use the pool as you can’t really get a tan and warm up as it’s quite enclosed by the hotel rooms and trees and the water was very cold. The monkeys - they are naughty and ambushed us a couple of times on the balcony. Don’t eat outside or leave washing ! They made our stay more enjoyable though and watching their antics made us laugh a lot! The staff are helpful and polite and friendly. Major negative about this resort is the breakfast !!!! Hate to moan , but it was absolutely terrible. It was as though much of it was last night’s leftovers brought out and warmed up. Fly’s all over the place . It got where even though breakfast was included in our package, we skipped it for the last three days as it was not good . Railay Itself to visit is ok for a short stay. Sadly , the plastic bottles and rubbish are not cleaned up. Even if it is washed up each day - CLEAN IT UP and appreciate what you have !!! The restaurant street is full of ‘Trying to be Jamaica ’, people stoned out of their heads and it was tacky . Disappointing resort amd expensive .

Amazing swim up room-adult only!!”
Great big room with steps into pool. Day bed on the deck between the room and the pool, with pillows. Perfect! Pool in the shade- a welcome relief to the hot sun especially in the afternoon. Room has coffee and cups. In hall outside room refillable water station with hot and cold water. They even provide tumblers with kids to use. Beach towels and tote bag provided. Ok breakfast with the usual stuff. Bar has happy hour from 5-830 at night with half price drinks! Can sit on grass with beanbags chairs if you like. Quiet room- no long tail boat noise here!! The bed is huge and comfortable, the best bed in 3 weeks of Asia travel. We love this place and would stay again in a heartbeat.

This resort is the best in Krabi,Thailand. Here are some highlights. 1) When I first walked into my room, I met a monkey on my balcony. I fed him some watermelon. It made my day. 2) The music playlist that plays in the dinning area is superb and gives my ears a rest. Most places you go in Thailand play the top 20 radio from America in hopes of attracting foreigners. Those places make my ears bleed. This hotel, however, plays a wide variety of great music. 3) When I asked a man if I could purchase a coconut he was picking, the staff gave it to me for free, cut it open and straw included. They are so kind and personable. 4) We visited Ao Nang for a night, realized it sucked and decided to come back to Railay. Even though we payed for a standard room, upon seeing our return, they upgraded our room to a nicer one next to the pool, free of charge. Again, they are so kind. These are just a few stories to express how beyond the excellent amenities, beautiful location, and so on that can be gathered from the Agoda posting, that this is an excellent resort. Now onto the only negative that this resort has - the coffee sucks. I won't lie. It is nescafe instant coffee heated in a pot. It is disappointing. If you wake up early around 6am like me, you have to wait until 8am to go buy real coffee. I understand that including free, good coffee may be too costly for the hotel's free breakfast, but I would be happy to pay extra. However, I don't think they have an expresso machine. I may be wrong though. Anyways, enjoy your stay with Avatar!

My go to for Railay”
I have stayed at the Avatar on at least three different occasions. I even brought my mom here when she visited. The value is great and the rooms are super comfy. Breakfast is great with a lot of variety. The views of the limestone cliffs from the pool are amazing. Excellent place to enjoy Railay

Worth it, definetly”
Apart from being in the amazing Railey Bay, the hotel is so good for the price given. The room is quite big and includes everything needed. Location is always good, as in Railey everything is near by. We have been in the Covid time and it was one of the few hotels open in the area, which means management is doing well. I feel very happy to have chosen this hotel for a week.

We love Avatar Railay Resort. Great location, good food, clean room, nice pool, and we got a pretty good deal. The only downside is that it is not really 'adults only' as its name. There were a bunch of kids running around in the restuarant during dinner.

Prime location, serene energy”
This is the perfect lodging if you'd like a peaceful jungle hideaway with close proximity to the beach. The foliage here is insane. The green canopy that leads from the main entrance to the rooms is a portal to the relaxing getaway I was needing. HUGE rooms. HUGE beds. My balcony was a true sanctuary. I could've stayed there the entire time and been perfectly content. Can't wait to return :)

This place was amazing. I stayed in two different rooms and one of them had a surprise private pool on my balcony. Both rooms were incredibly nice and clean and the staff were lovely. If you need to escape the sounds of children screaming in a pool then this is the place for you. Adults only!

Relaxing, stunning, no screaming children. ”
I usually opt for cheaper places to stay as I'm usually only in my room to sleep while in Thailand but as a last minute decision I decided to treat myself. I stayed in two different rooms here. One was a villa and the other a suite. They were both so luxurious and beautiful it was shocking. The villa was just a beautiful huge room with really nice furniture, amazing details right down to the door handles. Once I got to the suite though my mind was really blown. I had a large bedroom, a huge soaker jacuzzi tub and my two sliding doors to my giant patio included a PRIVATE POOL. Not just pool access but a private decent sized swimming pool to myself. The included breakfast was high quality as well unlike most hotels I've encountered. Railay is a beautiful spot and if you don't mind spending a little extra this place is well worth the money.
