The Asia Pattaya Beach Hotel is a massive sixties slab of a building, like a domino placed on its side, on a hill overlooking the gulf of Thailand (one can easily walk to the beach below). Hundreds of rooms, a big outdoor swimming pool in a landscaped garden, a gym, a restaurant, a bar, a spacious lobby, and a splendid view of the water. Somehow the price for a very large double room (January 30, 2020) is only 870 Baht - $28 USD - $38 CAD. The chaotic city center of Pattaya, meanwhile, is nowhere in view.

Good Hotel for a great price”

I visited Asia Pattaya Hotel as a child. During those days, it was a luxurious and well known hotel. Now there are alot of new hotels competing for customers. It still maintains its old charms. One bonus I like is its right next door to the cabbage and condoms (family planning themed) restaurant which is located in the birds and bees resort next door. The birds and bees resort is 3 to 5 times more expensive but if you stay at the Asia Pattaya, it is only 200 meters walk to visit the restaurant. There is a shuttle from the hotel into town. There is plenty of parking and two restaurants at the hotel. It is up on a hill so you would have an ocean view from a cliff. There is a semi private beach shared with the birds and bees resort but you have to walk down a flight of stairs to the beach. There is a golf course as well. Old style charm at a bargain price.

A Grand Hotel Befitting It's Name.”

Everything was perfect. I believe it is the season of low traffic and the recent Red Shirt uprising, the guest population was quite low. I pray it doesn't discourage the proprietors of the Hotel. I had been to Pattaya over half a dozen times in the past 4 years Asia Pattaya Hotel remains my best - in all respects. My Companion will visit Pattaya again - just because of Asia Pattaya Beach Hotel.

Pleasant Surprise at Thirrd Visit!!!!!!!!!”

I stayed in Asia Pattaya Beach Hotel a few times in the past. It was like a desolate castle. Very few guests. I was surprised that Breakfast was not ever mentioned in the past. There is still seclusion but the hotel is teeming with guests of all ages. It is probably due to the upheaval in Bangkok. But the Hotel sure handles the influx very well. Breakfast is now a feature of the Hotel and the Venue is spread over the Dining area and the Pool Side. Beautiful improvement.

Oasis of Tranquility between Pattaya and Jontiem”

This is one of the old-style smaller hotels, probably the best hotel in Pattaya before the big hotel chains moved in. It is on the headland beyond the south of the main Pattaya Beach and commands a magnificient view over the ocean. It has a very laid-back atmosphere with relaxing gardens, pool and private beach, but still has easy access to excellent shopping and unique nightlife. Within 5-10 years it will be bought and ripped down to rebuild an exclusive 5 star hotel charging four times the price. Part of history will be lost.

have stayed at the asia pattaya hotel on previous occasions great location a short distance away from the noise of the busy town, rooms clean if some what dated but the rest of the hotel very nice,good restaurant, good breakfast with a selection of foods to suit all,staff well dressed & polite, excellent grounds with a good size pool and a nice little beech, also has a 9 hole golf course, overall a plesent stay.

Pattaya's hotel gem”

The massed bougainvillia avenue leading to the entrance foyer of the hotel engenders a sense of spaciousness. Walking from the dining onto the seaside pool and extensive garden areas, with lawns extending the view along the coast, is a wonderful suprise, when most hotels have restricted grounds, if any, beyond their pool surrounds. This hotels pool is spacious and sits above a cliff walk leading to the beach where beakfast may be taken amongst the palms and deckchairs, with the sea at your feet. A short 9 hole golf course, with manicured, difficult greens extends the hotels reach so that there are facilities for all guests, including the children, if they don't want to take a short taxi ride to the centre of the Pattaya shopping precinct with their parents. The restaurants and night entertainment át the hotel have to compete with that proximity to a huge choice that is Pattaya. The hotel is a very well positioned, proximate yet with spacious grounds in which to relax with a massage if need be. A good choice.

Rooms with a view”

The Asia hotel is situated away from the main shopping and tourist centres, but benefits from very good restaurants in house and nearby, including some good bars serving mainstream beers and entirely reasonable food on the nearby secluded beach. The small golf course is moderately popular, the staff are friendly, reliable and trustworthy. The maid service is efficient and reliable. The hotel itself is one of the polder ones in Pattaya and shows clear signs of wear, but it is clean and good value for money.

Wonderful location for a good price”

Very nice hotel between Pattaya South and Jomtien, on de Pratamnak hill, the classy area of Pattaya (no karaoke, massage or brothel in sight here!). Excellent for honey-mooners or couples who like rest and beautiful view / beach. When booking make sure you take the Seaview rooms, just a bit more expensive but worth it, although the backside view is on a golf course and the mountain and also not bad. Nice but small beaches on walking distance and the sea is clean and quiet here.

Far from the madding crowd”

We enjoyed great Ocean Views and a nice celan pool with a swim up bar, It is right on the Ocean,and there is a private walk to the beach. The beach is very pleasent compared to Pattaya Beach and Jomtiem Beach, as it is less crowded and less commercial. The price is a little higher than some lesser places, but it is well worth it. There is a nice little Par 3 golf course adjacent to the hotel.

Great Location”

I have stayed here many times because the location is the best in Pattaya. It is on a quiet beach away from the chaos. You can get into the centre for 150 baht with the taxi from the hotel. People complain about this price so they really should stick to Spain. The rooms are dated but the staff are good and check in for is a breeze. The pool is superb with a bar and the food is good with a large selection. The little golf course also is great fun. Internet is not good but across the road is the elephant bar has good internet free if you eat or drink.

A perfect hotel if you go to Pattaya to play golf. Hotel staff has excellent knowledge about all golf courses around Pattaya and give you full service in this matter.Nice pool area and own beach not overcrowded.Good big breakfast and good Thai massage in the garden. Asia perfect for all kind of traveling.

Pleasant hotel set in its own gardens clean pool and friendly staff nice pool area and access to beach would recommend 10 to 15mins from Pattaya central 5 mins from Jomtien beach. Also nice 9 hole golf coarse within the grounds.

An older hotel with all modern comforts”

This is an older hotel away from the main Pataya beaches. Nonetheless, it provides everything that one would expect in a new hotel, but in less up-to-date style. It is set in 75 acres and includes a small golf course and attractive gardens which are all kept immaculately. The bedrooms were of the normal size and comfortable but the decor was a little dated, but you soon get used to that. The air conditioning was unusual in so far as it ran in the duct below the window however it provided very comfortable conditions and was probably the quietest air conditioning system we have come across, and that includes some top-class 4*+ hotels. The open air Seafood Barbecue restaurant which is located directly above the sea was a delight, and the food matched the location. The breakfasts were the expected buffet and were reasonable although perhaps a little expensive. There is direct access from the hotel to the beach which is clean and free from beach sellers. The sea is clean, gently sloping and the bathing area protected. The swimming pools were slightly dated in design but the water was clean and warm, so what more could one want to freshen up after an hour in the sea. Overall, this is a really good three star hotel away from the fleshpots of Pataya and we would have no hesitation in returning.

this is the second time we stayed at asia pattaya. although it's an old hotel, the hotel has been well maintained. the room is clean and with a view to die for. it's a great place to relax but won't be if you are looking for a fun nightlife. the staff are very friendly and always there to help you.

I come here regularly. You can play the short 9 golf course, go to the gym, swim in the pool, or enjoy the nice beach below. Impossible to find a better value in Pattaya when they run their under $40 deals

Quiet Location”

I have stayed here before and the reason i came back was because of the large pool with a bar in the middle and the small quiet beach at the bottom of the cliff.The rooms are a decent size but bathrooms could be updated but are ok. The staff are good and the two ladies that run the pool bar are lovely. Taxi is 200 baht to the centre of pattaya and walking street and is a little bit inconvenient trying to get back but the pool and the beach are worth it.

This is not a modern hotel which is evident from the condition of the building, but it is well maintained and clean. It just isn't as new as, say, the Marriott. There is a secluded beach area with a few reasonable beer bars and this is popular with groups of regular tourists who visit the hotel. It is too far away from the regular beach/tourist area to attract the crowd from the girlie bars. The restaurant inside the hotel has a good selection of western and Thai food, and the quality is superb. The clifftop seafood restaurant is a good location for evening meals at sunset. Can be a tad crowded on Thai holidays since the price is competitive, even for the local people.
