B2 Pai Premier Hotel
Pai City Center,Pai - View on map
"Hello mates, what's popping up? Today I'd like to tell a couple of thankful words about B2 Premier Hotel in Pai. We had really good vibes there cause: - it's not expensive, we paid about 500 baht per night - it has a community pool, however a privat pool for some rooms on first floor - in rooms there were bathrobe, slippers, dryer, all these bottles with shampoo etc - two bottles of water every day - good location near the day market and quite far from noisy streets like Walking Street (we love it, but only unless it's keeping us awake :)) So, if you have a bike you're the king! I have an another experience of living in hotel on Walking Street with screeming all-day roosters with similar price, so belive me, it's better to choose that hotel if you want to get a reasonable living conditions and if you're not a backpacker of course :) "

Pai Village Boutique Resort (SHA Plus+)

"Beautiful hotel, located at the best spot in pai. The stuff was amazing, very kind, took care of everything we needed especially May, one of the girls at the desk. The only two problems were the smell in the room because the rooms are made of woods and it’s raining season, and the frogs outside the room made a lot of noise at night. The price was a little expensive compared to the other hotels in pai, but it was a level above everything. We had a great time and enjoyed our staying."

"We booked this hotel because there are not many 4/5 stars hotels in Pai. We were very surprised of the warmth welcome and the beautifull surroundings of the hotel with his very nice pool. The centre is only 5 min walk so you have no noise of Pai center. You can use a bike for free. The rooms are very cosey and clean. Fresh fruit every day in the room. Next time i will book for sure again."

Farmstay @ Pai

"It’s beside a lot of other accomodation in the area, the walk back from walking street is uphill and roughly 15 mins. The staff were not good here, unfriendly & unhelpful. We did book a scooter through them though which was good value but the bike we got wasn’t good, maybe shop around. The land it’s on is beautiful and a walk around the farm is a must. It’s a toss up between here and plenty of other places so choose wisely "

Canary Guesthouse

"Right by the river across from the beginning of the night market this guesthouse is the perfect blend of accessibility and relaxation. Drinking coffee in the morning with the best muesli and fruit we have had (in Thailand or anywhere really) to the sounds of the river was the perfect start to a morning. The woman at the front desk was one of the kindest people with an adorable family that you see playing together in the evenings. She was so extremely helpful in booking our tours and extending our stay (which we did twice!) The shower and toilet are in an outside attachment to the bedroom with a bucket to flush the toilet. We did not mind this at all but imagine some people might. For the price the location was so great, right on the river but only a 5 minute walk to the start the amazing night market in Pai. Would definitely recommend and would look forward to staying again. "

Pai My Way Hostel

"The rooms were clean, organized and air conditioned. The location was perfect because it was a quiet and peaceful area but the night market is only a block away and the bars are a few blocks in the opposite direction! It’s near the bus station and aYa which is the best spot to rent motorbikes and book your bus back to chiang Mai. I actually convinced my friends to move from Circus to Pai my way after visiting their hotel. I would definitely return if I went to Pai again. Thanks!!"

"We stayed for a week ( Yes we got stick in the Pai-Hole) after re-booking two nights more, than two nights again.. 7 days later this is the best value for your money. We stayed in guesthouse #2 (private bathroom). There is a double bed and a fan along with three locking windows. The location was ideal for us (two 30's something Americans) because it is about a half mile out of the town's main bar street. Just far enough from the bass, yet close enough to walk back and forth two or three times a day without feeling too far. We enjoyed the community on the east side of the river hidden from the bar scene. There is a cheap place with a swimming pool named Fluid (80 baht) right around the corner, Close to the White Buddha, vegan cafe Earth Tone, as well as two locations close by to purchase "Happy off menu Products" at Backpacker's Paradise and Sunset Bar. The rooms are basic, as one would expect from a bungalow, the only con is that the bed was extremely squeeky with age-old spring rigging that made moving around a bit loud for my partner and probably folks in the next bungalow over. Thankfully our neighbors were quiet accept for the last two nights when some younger, louder folks decided to stay up and be loud/obnoxious. If you are looking to meet people, stay at Backpacker's Paradise. The hot water functions only at lower pressure, it is a 10 year old water heating element, so there's lower the pressure, the longer the water stays in the element and hotter it will become. Most people have it on full blast and complain that the water heater doesn't work, well, that's because the water isn't in the heater long enough.. a fine balance between pressure and temp and you'll figure it out. The host, Noi and his wife keep there facility super clean and live in their awesome private house. As a previous review suggests, it feels a bit looked living in a Smurf Village - which is true and awesome. Each bungalow has a covered hammock outside. They sell cheap beers, water, "

Pai Hotsprings Spa Resort
Thung Yao,Pai - View on map
"Literally the best place I ever stayed, it is so much better than it looks on the picture. This hotel has three hotsprings in their own garden, which are not on the agoda pictures so it was a very nice surprise when we arrived. We even had an outside bathtub at our own bungalow which in the evening was filled with hotspring water by the staff, so we look at the stars in our own private garden sitting in a hot bath. The staff is superfriendly, the surroundings are very peaceful and superbeautiful, elephants come to take a bath in the river at the hotel so there is always something beautiful to see. If agoda would have shown the real beauty of this place we would have booked more than two nights because we were really sad we had to leave this place. The only minor point of criticism we have is that the hotel works together with a very bad motorbike rental company, those guys tried to scam us in every possible way. So the hotel should start working together with another rental company than "happy pai" to provide guests with motobikes. But it is not the hotel's fault that those guys are so terrible, the people of the hotel are the best!"

More about Pai

Pai is located near the Myanmar border, and the many who stop at this sleepy outpost fall in love with its people, culture, and way of life. Pai has developed in recent years to appeal to a variety of travelers. Though small, a range of Pai accommodations such as traditional guest houses, mountain bungalows, Western-styled hotels, and spa resorts are available here.

Pai can be reached by either plane or bus. By plane, travelers can fly directly from Chang Mai to Pai Airport.

Pai is known for its laidback way of life, and travelers have the freedom to choose between adventure or relaxation. For the adventurous, schedule a guided elephant tour through the jungles around Pai, splashing through rivers along the way. Or take to the rapids with white-water rafting tours available for the novice and extremist alike. Numerous waterfalls such as Moe Pang Waterfall are a short distance away, and the hot springs offer the perfect dip.

Food, drink, and entertainment in Pai caters as much to locals as it does to foreigners, with plenty of international influences apparent. Thai restaurants are supplemented by burger joints and vegetarian cafés, with the obligatory reggae bar and cover band bar thrown in for good measure.

Be sure to check out the interactive map of Pai for information on hotel locations, attractions, and must-see destinations.
