      Wonderful stay”

Fabulous personalised service, attention to detail, design and feel of the rooms and hotel facilities
Nothing. Only part we liked a bit less was paying the bill.

We stayed at the Sarojin for 6 nights in March 2010. For us this trip was a bit of a splurge, which meant we had high expectations and were a bit afraid before our arrival about whether or not the Sarojin would live up to these - and were very happy to discover that it did. As already noted, the one thing that really makes the Sarojin stand out is its impeccable service and the way in which every staff member tries to cater for your personal needs from the moment you arrive until the time that you leave. We loved our garden view room (especially the open-space design, the bath tub filled with flowers, the lovely bath products, the silk robes, the outdoor 'sala'/terrace, etc.) and were lucky enough to get a free upgrade to a beautiful Sarojin suite (with an outdoor bath/relaxation pool overlooking the lush green gardens of the resort) on our last night. Breakfasts were a real treat, with a huge amount of choice from the a la carte menu, and we also enjoyed lunch and dinner at both of the Sarojin's two restaurants (especially the pasta at the Ficus restaurant) when we tried them. It's very hard to say anything negative about the Sarojin given how much we enjoyed our stay, but if we had to highlight a couple of small issues for improvement it would probable be: 1. Prices of excursions and hotel restaurants - the Sarojin offer some wonderful excursions, but many of these feel slightly overpriced (even when you take the personalised service into account). This led us to decide to book one of our excursions (a boat trip to 'James Bond Island') with a tour operator outside of the hotel, who offered private trips for one-third of the price the the Sarojin was offering. We very much enjoyed the private cooking class we did with the chef at the Sarojin 'Edge' restaurant, but felt it was slightly overpriced for the approx. 100 Euros per person we paid for the 90 min of cooking. We did enjoy the trip to the local market before the cooking class, but would have preferred a

Amazingly friendly staff Great food Stunning pool Spacious luxurious rooms
      None whatsoever

Our stay at the Sarojin was the perfect way to end a 2 and a half month trip around south east asia. After staying in cheap guest houses for the rest of the trip, we chose the Sarojin because of the amazing reviews we had seen about it on the internet and it more than lived up to its reputation. This place is absolutely faultless and i would highly recommend it to anyone going to thailand, even if you are not planning to visit the Khao Lak area it is worth it for this hotel. Reviews i read constantly mentioned how friendly and helpful the staff are but they really are more than i even expected! The food is great especially the breakfasts. The main pool is breathtaking with individual salas in the middle of it. We stayed in a pool residence which was stunning and very spacious which even when it rained it was still an amazing pleasure to be there.

      Opulence, Decadence, Peace & Serenity”

If you are looking for a quiet decadent escape then The Sarojin in the place for you. The resort is a paradise in the rainforest of Khao Lak, where your every need is taken care of. The staff are the heart of the resort and are the most beautiful, kind and welcoming locals. The resort offers the highest quality in residences, restaurants and service. Simply put this resort is Devine and is well worth the price tag. Things to consider: * This resort is not for children. They are welcome but would be better suited to a resort with more facilities * There is only one local street eatery within walking distance. Omg and his family will service delicious Thai cuisine and take care of your laundry needs. * The resort offers a shuttle to Khao Lak town however if you feel adventurous then hire a motorbike for around $7.50 per day * The rainbow waterfall is beautiful but is not an easy bike ride from the resort

      wow, what a place!”

      Relaxed atmosphere, 1 on 1 staff/guest ratio

We spent our 10 year anniversary at the Sarojin for 4 nights and had THE best time. Khao Lak is approx 150kms from Phuket but don't despair, if you arrange transfers which I strongly recommend you are welcomed in a private 4WD with cold towels and a choice of champagne or beers! The trip takes around 11/2 hr but its worth it. We arrived in pouring rain, the manager must have felt sorry for us because we were immediately upgraded to a Sarojin Suite which was awesome! massive living area, balcony spa and huge stone bath - very romantic. The finishes are first rate and probably the best designed room we've stayed in (totally private). The resort itself is spread around the central restaurant and pool. The pool is beautiful with deck chairs and a full time staff members topping you up with fresh icy water and complimentary fruit. The beach itself was great and you can walk for miles. Breakfast is great with complimentary champagne a little luxury to start your day. There are no set times for eating so you get up and eat whenever you want. In fact you can ask for pretty much anything you want and the staff will do there best to accommodate your wishes. Truly a romantic and indulgent resort.

We stayed for 5 nights at the Sarojin, in the Spa Suite. The Sarojin is not a chain hotel. It is family-owned and operated, and the attention to detail is meticulous. All of the staff are excellent and service was fantastic right from the time we were met by the hotel car at Phuket Airport. Khao Lak is less than 2 hours drive from the rowdiness of Patong Beach, but it is a world away. You can choose to stay at the hotel or take a taxi into town. Khao Lak is very laid-back and friendly, with small relaxed eateries and pubs. And a walk along the beach is truly pleasant, with no vendors. We will be back!

Great hotel with beautiful layout, luxurious rooms”

Luxury room great shower! excellent service gorgeous pool
Only good for couples Sea water gray and not clear

Stayed at the Sarojin the first week of August. Very beautiful resort, luxury rooms, with a great shower that makes it feel like you're outdoors. The staff was very friendly a nd the service exceptional. Get the room with a free breakfast as it was a wide variety of choices all inclusive. The only "con" that is really a matter of choice is that it is pretty isolated with not much nearby except the town of Khao lak which doesn't really have much in it. The resort is great for relaxing but pretty geared towards couples.

If you consider to taravell to Khao Lak and your budget is allowed, I highly recommend you to stay The Sarojin especially couple travelled as per the room design. The service was detail oriented. The view from the lobby made me feel I'm in the beautiful village in the book... The room was just perfect but no privacy... The beach was very clean! The taste of food was high standard for resort hotel even breakfast!

Breakfast, the pool and the Staff

If quiet and romantic is your idea of a great holiday then the Sarojin is for you! We had an unbelievable time! The staff are friendly, attentive and made everyday special. You are greeted every morning at breakfast with warm smiles and the most delicious freshly baked pastries. The staff cater to your every need 24/7. The hotel grounds are beautifully kept and the pool is stunning. The beach is beautiful too. Khoa Lak is a quiet area, so probably not ideal for young people or children. I can not thank the Sarojin team enough. I Highly recommend this hotel. Kob Khun Ka!

      Sarojin = complete bliss”

Staff are incredible, wonderful resort, fabulous beach, allround attention to detail

Stayed for 4 nights as part of honeymoon and could not fault the Sarojin at all, absolutely perfect for what we wanted. Relaxation in a nice quiet setting with staff that are the best i have experienced anywhere, nothing was too much trouble and they really do make teh experience special. It is a little isolated and Khao Lak town is nothing special but if its luxury relaxation your after then you will struggle to find better.

      Indulgant experience”

All comforts were taken care of

The Sarojin works very hard to make you comfortable. Beginning with the pickup, it was evident that the staff worked to make us comfortable. A draw back upon arrival was that due to some unforseen circumstances, the pool was being repaired and we would not have access. The manager, Dawid, upgraded us to a pool suite and gave us some hotel credits. While the pool would have enhanced the stay, we did enjoy the ocean and our own dipping pool. The only thing that would have helped further would have been if the Sarojin increased the beach side service since pool side wasnt available. Overall, we relaxed, enjoyed the BBQ food and ambiance. The hotel is pricey and equivilant to U.S. prices, so a two night stay at the end of our trip was just right.

      Extraordinary service, great amenities”

      Staff service, room, secluded

If you really want to get away for a few days and be pampered in isolation, this is the perfect resort. Located on an 11km private beach in Khao Lak, this place was great down to every detail. Food was amazing, every appointment was provided for us, they even sent a car to pick us up at our previous hotel 2 hours away. You can customize your stay from the basic up to thousands of dollars per day. My only complaints involve the rain (monsoon season now) and a caveat...this place is amazing but you really wouldn't want more than week there without getting out and travelling around everyday unless all you want to do is sit on the beach and read. Oh - and if you're a shell collector, I found enough on the beach to open a gift shop...

food is just devine in restaurants, hotel grounds are lovely

As expected we were very happy with the Sarojin. We had heard plenty of good things about them and decided to spend two nights there. It rained for all 3 days but not even the rain could ruin our retreat. The food at the restaurants are absolutely beautiful, the best meals we had in Thailand. The beach is much nicer than down in Phuket however the rubbish issue exists. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms have some slight imperfections on closer inspection (we booked a pool villa) but initially they are simply stunning. The only negative was everything is Australian prices, and once again transfers are just ridiculous, so don't go if you are on a tight budget, and arrange your own transfers to save some cash.

      very private, truly 5-star

we stayed for 3 nights and didn't stay that much in our room as we went exploring khao lak. the pool room is quite small compared to what i've expected. we really enjoyed the plunge pool. they replenished the free stuff promptly but i could have appreciated it more if they provided a bottle of wine for free and just removed the too many bottles which they charge expensively. lovely bathtub with a handful of flowers but could've been better if filled with rose petals and adorned with scented candles. it was a good thing we rented a car because the hotel is quite far from town and you can't go to the next restaurant just walking. the staff were friendly. nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay and we will stay in sarojin again. it's definitely above some 5 star hotels but they could do better e.g. scented candles, flowers in the garden, sliding door to the pool, espresso maker

      Sarojin 2015”

Clean large suite, Pool to suite. Breakfast

Sarojin is a good clean hotel, staff are all very friendly. However for us the hotel was far too quiet as far as being sociable is concerned, also almost all other guests stuck to themselves with vertualy no interaction with other guests, some guests could not even raise their heads to say good morning, this is nothing to do with the hotel obviously. The hotel is a bit out of the way, for us 10 days was a bit long and 5 days would be ample. The township has nothing much to offer. Food is high priced but service is first class, drinks are to expensive. If you want a few days of quiet self indulgence (with partner) this hotel is perfect we could not complain on anything. If you want to be sociable with other travellers this is not the hotel for you. We believe with a discounted rate we had value for money, the full rate is far too expensive for this hotel.

The Staff were superb, genuinely helpful and friendly.

Sarojin have the big and little things covered. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately maintained. While the TV in the room was quite old etc, it really didn't matter, as the service was so good, amongst the best I have experienced. There was a bowl of fresh fruit every day in the room (not just on arrival). By the pool without fail the sunbeds were prepared, towel and within one minute, there was a complementary glass of iced water and fresh juice. I consider good customer to be when one doesnt need to ask...Sarojin staff have been trained really well and they genuinely seem to love what they do. Hats off to the management.

Must try the Similan islands excursion on the Sarojin boat. The snorkelling sites were amazing and the staff were great providing you with everything from A to Z all you need is sunblock. The staff at the hotel are one of a kind, my husband fell ill while we were there and each and every staff members was informed and would ask him how he was feeling n each and every part of the resort and would make suggestions as to his food and drinks and attended to his complete comfort. The Manager was able to arrange our trips and made great suggestions for how we could spend our time and can arrange any special events that clients want to have implemented. Will definitely return.

Rooms, beach and The Edge restaurant

We stayed here for four nights as part of a three week visit to Thailand. The rooms are mmaculately clean with a quirky pebble bathroom that actually works well with the room design and a fab rain shower. Housekeeping was fine but we found that they never did it when we went to breakfast, unlike some other reviewers have said. The location of the hotel is something very special and the grounds and proximity to Haadson Beach are amazing. This is a very special beach that really allows you to see how Thai beaches should be. We ate at both restaurants and the service and food at the Edge was excellent, if a little pricey, although this was to be expected. Be aware that they add 17% to everything and the price you see is not what you pay. Finally, we understand that in a five star resort you pay 5* prices but could not really justify the 3500 baht net price tag for each person to go on a tour. Consequently, we opted for a complimentary tour to visit the local orphanage. As a teacher myself, I thought of possibilities of how I could set up links to support and sponsor children long term. However, we were aggrieved when we stopped in the car to pick up gifts of rice, cooking oil and milk (which we were happy to do) only to be marched into a shop and asked to pay 1800 baht for a sack of rice,, nearly double what we should. I have checked and we should never have been asked to pay that price for rice... This was supplies to take with good will to an orphanage and should never have been used as a means for a driver and a shop keeper to make money from what we were doing! We have travelled a lot in Thailand and as tourists expect to be charged more most of the time, but not when it is for such a charitable

The Sarojin is an amazing hotel - I can not recommend it highly enough! We stayed in the jacuzzi suite which was enormous and so well decorated. We appreciated the privacy of this room versus the pool villas on the ground floor. The restaurants were both delicious and we loved the breakfast menu! The staff were thoughtful and attentive, but also gave us the privacy we wanted. The grounds are beautiful - lush gardens, beautiful pool, and a mostly empty beach to walk along. We can’t wait to go back!

We had the best stay we have ever had in Thailand at the Sarojin. My husband and I have been travelling to Thailand for 30 years and always like to stay somewhere different so we are able to fully embraceThailand and what it has to offer. Our room, pool, gardens, food and staff were all fantastic. I felt so relaxed and very spoilt and indulged staying here.I applaude the Kemp family for creating a really amazing oasis. The resort is gorgeous, the food is absolutely delicious, the rooms stunning but most importantly is the really, really wonderful staff from managers to the gardeners. I congratulate you!
